I guess this could be total SS but since we don't have an August thread I'll ask here. Does your LO take a gulp from asippy cup and then spit it down him/herself for fun? Also does he or she walk on his/her knees at all? LO will knee walk to get to somewhere where he can pull up to stand and then walks.

My LO does not walk on her knees but H's cousin has an 18mo girl who walked on her knees like you're describing until ~17m. They had to really encourage her to walk on her feet.

DD also enjoys spitting out the contents of her cup. Especially if it's milk.
In regards to the knee walking, no, DD has never done that. From a development point, though, that isn't super concerning at this age. Just encourage LO to stand from the floor when possible, but soon enough he will figure out it's more efficient to just stand than to knee walk and then pull up.
Hmm A doesn't spit out liquid from the cup. He does knee walk a lot but he isn't actually walking yet (sigh) so I'm not sure that's really the same situation.

Yes, he loves spitting out drink from his cup just like others have said. He's also started spitting out food. It's his way of saying he's down with something...
Yes to sippy cup woes Bluedaisy why do they do that? I know J can drink the right way she does it most times, but at least once a day she's soaked because she holds the liquid in her mouth & let's it spill out.
He spits it out while he is drinking. I don't think it's on purpose and I've never drawn his attention to it. He walks on his knees for a few steps if his walker gets away from him, but he is not interested in walking in general unless he is holding onto furniture.
heartofglass H prefers to spit out her food too. She rarely spits out drink but food is a totally different story! She loves to chew, spit it out and offer it to ppl. If you don't take it, she throws it at you. We're working on it...

DD doesn't do either of these things but she does like to chew up food before deciding she doesn't want that bite right now. She wants this bite over here.
Bluedaisy, I can't let LO have access to a sippy in the car (especially milk) because once he's quenched his thirst it just becomes a game to see how wet he and the car seat can get. I just take away the sippy whenever he starts and say "all done!" DS did it too when he was a baby. Don't worry, they get over it.
Eh, plenty of other things that are more annoying. Right now he's obsessed with the toilet. Flushing it, playing in the water, lifting up and down the seat, etc. Keeping him out of the bathroom is such a PITA.
