Ahhhhhh vacation time in 3.45 hours. We are headed to Sea Isle City NJ for the week with family, including my grandparents and parents, so DD's grandparents and great grandparents, along with my brother and his daughter. I am SO excited. Nap time here is going to DRAG because it's so quiet! My husband has the day off, so he is meeting with the cat sitter, dropping the dog at the kennel and loading the car.
So excited to be at the beach, but certainly not looking forward to the feeling of being 10x hotter then any non-pregnant person.

harfamilyof3, happy vacation to you! That's super exciting. Sounds like a lot of good babysitters to watch DD while you try and stay cool.
I am STILL SICK. Just still gross cough/cold situation but this is going on two weeks now. Luckily my parents are coming in today and staying the weekend so I can take it a bit easier. DS is SO excited. He wants to know EXACTLY what time they are arriving so he can open the door for them. Kids are weirdos.
Other than that we have a couple of birthday parties and soccer this weekend. I'm going to do some newborn photographer research -- most of my friends didn't do it so don't have recommendations. I liked our woman from last time but she was a little expensive and I loved our pictures with DS and our dog so want to get the trio this time. Has anyone else booked already who is getting them done?

harfamilyof3, I LOVE Sea Isle! My extended family goes there every year - we took DS there for the first time this summer to get Yum Yums
My parents are hosting a final summer BBQ at their house tomorrow since they are moving next year. I'm looking forward to eating ALL the food.
My MCA numbers were better this morning, after some were alarmingly high yesterday. DH had a job interview this morning and it went GREAT! It's not for a guaranteed permanent position, but when the hourly pay is TWICE what he gets now and it's guaranteed for six months, it gives us more time to figure out what to do in six months instead of trying to figure out what to do next week because of his current pay cut.
So lots of relief all the way around today, and looking forward to a more relaxing weekend!

I finally caught up at work this morning (working from home with a toddler is not very productive). FX I don't have to come into the office tomorrow morning.
This weekend I want to prioritize stuff that has been neglected too long. Even if DH has to work tomorrow, I can do 2 of the 3 things. a. weed the garden. b. remove the bed frame, it broke. the bed will just sit on the floor until we can buy something. c. buy DS a booster seat for eating. I think he's gotten too heavy for his chair that attaches to the table.
Plus we have a wedding to go to tomorrow night. DH is trying so hard to get out of going. But we rsvp'd yes, so we gots to go.

Working around the house tonight and tomorrow. I'd really like DH to finish stripping DD2's dresser so I can paint it and we need to paint the hall bath which was just remodeled.
Sunday, I'm co-hosting a baby shower so I have a few last minute projects to finish for that and then just enjoy the fun.

littlelion, mrsp121308, sounds like everyone has a few house to-dos this weekend! Good luck getting it done.
mrsp121308, silly question but how long do you think it will take to paint the hall bath? We have a few small walls in our office (wonky shape) that need to be painted before we wallpaper the rest and I'm considering having DH do it to save some money. Like could that be done in a day?

legalbeagle, I'm hoping to get it all done tomorrow. It's pretty cold in our house with the a/c so I'm thinking if I do a coat in the a.m before I go shopping I can do the second coat when I get back and that will be enough.
I'm hoping to finish getting our house unpacked, since I didn't manage to finish last weekend. We also just renewed our Disneyland passes, so we'll probably go there for a bit this weekend too. Tonight I promised DD1 and DD2 that if they behaved all day, I'd take them for a surprise after dinner (which is going to be Coldstone). FI doesn't yet know what the surprise is either, but he said they've been behaving well so far.
legalbeagle I definitely want to do photos but they are SO expensive. My cousin takes really nice newborn photos and I'm hoping I can get her to take some, but it's a 3.5 hour drive around the holidays, so we'll see.
We are going to register right now, and I'm super excited! Other than that, I'm looking forward to a lazy weekend with no house guests!
Dh is making a pizza and something fell onto the bottom of the oven... Ugh. I hate that... It's so smokey in here so he opened up a bunch of the windows and now our smoke alarm is going off. Lol, I'm just sitting here typing away!!!
I haven't felt very good all day... I'm hoping it was just bc we did a lot of running around and I didn't really eat lunch and we haven't ate dinner yet. Hope everyone has a good weekend!

Yeah not enough food will do that to you. I had the opposite problem. So busy at work I kept reaching for sugary stuff. And now I feel blah.
I just spent 2 hours talking with a brand new teacher, some other teachers on campus have got her all panicked. I'm happy to spend as much time as she needs to get ready but I was holding my work bag for half of it and my shoulder is all tight now.
Not sure what we're doing this weekend, hopefully not too much. Maybe we'll get all the nursery art up on the walls. Maybe we'll plan out what we want to do in our yard now that it's down to pretty much nothing with the trees gone.
Ooooo, and I got my AncestryDNA results today. I didn't think this was possible, but I came back 100% European. 53% Great Britain, 32% Western Europe, 10% Ireland. Then 5% of "trace regions" in Spain, Scandinavia and Greece. It even gave me a few connections to other people's trees now. I'm looking forward to delving deeper into that. I am thoroughly enjoying doing my family tree.
We're down to just 1 kid tonight, then 2 tomorrow until Monday AM. We have the loudest kid though, so it's not quite as peaceful as it sounds.
H has plans to play some video game that was just released for the majority of the weekend. This goes along smashingly with my plans to be lazy. It's been a long super busy week, and I'd like to have nothing to do for a while. I do need to run some errands in the AM, but it should be fairly quick.
We might go out alone for dinner tomorrow night, but at this point, I'd be just as happy NOT going out and ordering take out or grilling instead. Anything where I don't have to change out of PJ's.
My 3 year-old DD was reading The Very Hungry Caterpillar to her younger sister, and she got to the part where he eats through a piece of a bunch of things. Then she said that the caterpillar made a stomach-cake. Haha so adorable.
