I'm not sure how to limit the distractions while BFing W..... Because she is distracted by her own desire to chit-chat while eating. She literally latches on sucks a couple times, unlatches talks, relatches, repeat. It is super cute..... But feeding takes a lot of time. Cute little chatterbox I have.
Hah. Baby I has his eye on the prize. No distractions here lol. On one or two occasions when we are having a particularly sweet nursing session he can't decide whether to suck or smile but that was maybe once or twice.

my DS was like your's. He turned into a butterball super fast because he was a power nurser. W is more interested in talking instead of eating......I think I may have a social butterfly on my hands.
DS gets distracted a lot. Noises, people moving,if I change my position at all. He doesn't like covers.
Both the LC and the doctor jokingly said he eats to live rather than lives to eat. He will eat but he's not a power nurser. He always gets plenty during weighted feeds.
Everything! He likes to stop and coo and smile at me, too. I've started going longer between feedings because he seems to focus more when he's hungrier. If he starts nursing and unlatches, but there's no real distractions around, I'll offer again, but then I'll burp him and if he doesn't seem fussy anymore, I'll stop nursing.

+1 She likes to pretend to eat but really is just playing with my nip. She licks it a lot when she's distracted.

O loves to eat so nothing distracts him, haha. B is distracted by other people. If I'm talking to someone or there's a lot of noise, she tries to look around and isn't very focused on sucking. If I'm in public, I just cover her and that helps. At home, if there's people around, I just go in my room so she can focus.

As usual we have the same child. If he's eating with any level of focus I have to freeze like a statue if I want any chance of him going longer than 3 minutes.

Pretty much. Don't sneeze or breathe....
OMG DS freaks when I sneeze while nursing. It's kinda funny actually. His eyes get gigantic and he pulls off and just stares at me.

Not much distracts him. He gets right down to business. There was one day this week where he seemed distracted and was pushing with his feet off the back of the couch. But that was a single event which has passed I guess.
