Has anyone tried one of those online eyewear sites? I really need some new glasses and I don't want to pay the outrageous price at the doctors office.
I used glasses.com last time. I got a cute Kate Spade pair with the lenses for under $200. They also ship 5 pair for you to try for free. Plastic frames (mostly what Warby Parker has) don't work on me so I needed somewhere with many metal options. Whenever I get new glasses again I'll probably go the same kind of route.
Owen and I finally went to the playgroup I've been trying to get to since he was born! Two of my good friends run it which made the 40+ minute drive worth it. Then we went to Old Navy and he screamed the entire time we were in the dressing room. As soon as the door opened he was all smiles and giggles for every person who passed him.
Oh! He took his first steps on Saturday! To my husband's best friend. Three whole steps, then looked at me, cried, and sat down. Today at playgroup he took 3 steps to me and was so damn proud of himself. I think we need to go grocery shopping because (sob) I have to go to work tomorrow for a meeting. My technical first day back is next Tuesday. So only this week and Monday are left with my squishy boy. Oh summer, I love you.
A and I are at the beach for the week with my mom. He rode a merry go round for the first time today and loved it. It is so hot and humid that we can't stay outside for long though. Since we're in Maine, a lot of places don't have AC, so we can't even use that to cool down. At least we should get cooler weather tomorrow.

Yep! I always forget the name of the place I used, but I paid less than $10 for my glasses. They're a bit big, but I only wear them at night/early morning and when my contacts are bugging me so they're worth it. I can look on my case when I get home!
This is pretty much all I'm going to do with them too that's why I hate paying so much. Thanks.

I don't know how I always get sucked into Catfish so quickly. I'm always like, "I'm just going to turn this on for background noise," and then 8 episodes later, I wonder where my day went.
Love this show but I do NOT understand how people seriously think they're going to be the 1 in a million to have all this shady shit work out to be the catfish actually being who they said they were. It's like an accident and I can't look away!

I just watched an episode where everything was real! Well, except that he had an IRL girl friend and that's why he wouldn't meet this girl. But by the time they found him he didn't have his girlfriend anymore and the catfish'd girl moved to CA to live with him.

DS' fever has gotten worse. It's not call a doctor high, but it's high for him. What's weird is that other than a little sniffly nose, I can't figure out the bug. He's definitely tired and cranky, but it's weird the only symptom is fever. He has that tooth poking through, which I know can cause low grade fever, but not 102, right?

This past teething bout C had a pretty high fever (101.7). She cut 4 at the same timer this time, but has never had a teething fever that high. I would stay UTD on Tylenol/Motrin for a few hours and see if it brings it down.

Did it get worse after you gave tylenol? Or have you given anything yet?
It came down after Motrin, which we gave after that post. We had tried holding out because we wanted to give it closer to bed, but he was hitting a wall. Motrin was given, and he finally is asleep. I'm hoping he's able to sleep at least halfway decently and is doing better tomorrow.

Sitting in a Farm Bureau mtg, eating margerita pizza with italian sausage, and guzzling water to rehydrate after attempting a 4 mile run in 80+ degrees. Confession: I showered post-run, but forgot clean underwear (was at IL's house). On went the sweat-soaked underwear because commando in my LLR maxi wasn't going to happen.
LO had his first day of the transition to daycare and it went great then we had a visit from my mom and then I found some Little People I'd been searching for!

Made it to the eye doctor where they said I might have an infection so gave an Rx for steroids and antibiotics. Get it filled at the pharmacy and they want to charge me over $300 for a teeny tiny damn bottle of drops! I called the doctor to get them to choose a different med and now it's 6:30 and they didn't do it. The office receptionist even told me sorry everyone that anyone that could do anything for me left early (although after I called) without finding my chart. Really?

Wow heartofglass. That's horrible that they couldn't call it in before leaving! What did you end up doing? Hope your eye is better.

They're calling me in a new rx now. I'm just stuck with no contacts for two weeks along with staying out of direct sunlight...
