I'm dragging my feet this morning to go and get J out of her room. I swear I am such a time waster.
I have to clean a lot today because DH's friend is possibly staying with us maybe starting today. It would be nice if I actually was told when.
I'm just going to babble on and on this morning. I'm super psyched to say I'm going on an impromptu road trip with my sister this coming weekend. DH is not so excited because we need to find a babysitter so he can go work for a couple of hours while I'm gone. He's still on the kick of complaining how our date night got canceled and we're not going to be able to find anyone. Get over it dude!

Morning everyone!
I have 2 photo shoots today and my mom is taking the girls at 10 am. I won't be done until after 4 and thus the longest I've ever been away from B! I'm excited and sad.
My day can only be surmised as: teething is the devil. DS has one that's juuuuuust started poking through, and we have all the fussiness, sleeplessness, and low grade fever fun that comes with every single tooth it seems. Hoping it's in all the way soon. In the meantime, he got a nice dose of Motrin and went off to day care. I'm hoping being back into some of his normal routine will help, since I think this weekend really also threw him for a loop being at my parents' house. Ugh. Less than five weeks to go...
Morning everyone! It was a good weekend that included a trip to a water park about 45 minutes away. We only went there because I was meeting a friend who lived in the area. I was annoyed because they charged me full price for DS based on his age, and then turns out he wasn't tall enough to go on the big water slides. He was bummed but took it in stride. It still made me wonder why they charge $15 for a kid who can only enjoy half the park? I'm thinking of sending an email.

They have new episodes of Wentworth on Netflix and I have tons of paperwork to get through at work so I'll probably be a little scarce today. Hoping everyone had a good weekend!

I probably would, veggiemo. That's silly to pay full price when he couldn't even use any of the attractions! Even if they don't "do" anything for you it might help to air your frustrations:)

Ah, thanks tiffbot, you reminded me I wanted to check out a new place for DD to take swim lessons at! My mom wants to sign her up again as a Christmas gift (in sept? Lol) and I need to pick a day/time that works for us.

stinybean I was dragging this morning also. Even after I got her, we snuggled in my bed for 15 minutes or so, watching Sesame Street. I blame the rain.
Morning ladies! I'm super tired. H and I stayed up watching our last few episodes of Stranger Things. So good, but man I need to be going to be earlier.
I saw Bad Moms yesterday and it was soo funny. Super silly and unrealistic, but I laughed so hard, it was nice!

We're now a full day into unpacking and I'm convinced it will never end. Even with help this time. I'm so over moving. This is the fourth time in a year and a half - thanks to DH's work. Although it's the last time for a while, I know we'll be moving in the next year or so to buy. Ugh.
Has anyone ever been to a flotation therapy spa before? DH decided he wanted to plan a date for us and booked us two "floats" at this place next week, abettermespa.com/
Morning! I'm trying to stay off my phone (I zoned out for an hour on Friday and it freaked me out) and that means today I've already grocery shopped, prepped dinner, and done my PT exercises. Yay, productivity! I still have to get an oil change later, but my mom is watching LO so I will enjoy that time on my own!
One of DH's friends was here yesterday with his wife and two girls. The youngest girl is about 3 weeks older than E and it was fun to have them all play together. Today is definitely a Monday. E seems a little off, either due to the excitement yesterday or just not enough sleep. I have bad hiccups that won't go away. I'll have to make sure we do something fun later today when we go run some errands.
tjanca22 that looks like a super relaxing therapy! Let us know how you like it...I kind of want to try now!
I am continually surprised by how much less intense it is to care for someone else's child now that I have my own. Obviously I want the baby to be happy and content but when she cries, it isn't completely heartbreaking like when H is upset. I just calmly try all the things like a rational human 😉 I'm actually thinking of trying to get an online job, like transcription or something, that I can do during all these naps! This family is also very big on the baby doing independent play for at least 1/3 of her waking hours so that leaves me with even more time to get stuff done!

Back at work today after my vacation. Vegas was super fun and I won $300! I am trying to decide what I should treat myself to with that money.
Our bag got on the wrong flight on our way back, so we should be getting it back today. Spirit gave us a $50 credit, so we are looking into maybe going back to Vegas in December, haha.

No plans here today beyond trying to get an eye appointment. A has been nursing like a new born the past few days, fun stuff. The snuggles are nice though since he's running around like a mad man now. The repairs are finished on the house so I'm hoping we can go back into negotiations with the buyer. We had 3-4 showings while it was being fixed and it tanked all of them, which I understand. It's just super disappointing because it's the most interest we've had since we out it on the market.
Has anyone tried one of those online eyewear sites? I really need some new glasses and I don't want to pay the outrageous price at the doctors office.
I have done coastal .com and gotten some decent glasses for pretty cheap. Google for promo codes, they seem to always be running something. Also Warby Parker glasses are all around $100 and they will send you up to 5 to try on for free.

The measurements are what throws me, but if Warby Parker lets you try them on I might use them. $100 is still better than $500. Thanks.

If you have your current pair of glasses, you could try to get the measurements on them (sometimes they are printed on the side) and find something similar.

Yep! I always forget the name of the place I used, but I paid less than $10 for my glasses. They're a bit big, but I only wear them at night/early morning and when my contacts are bugging me so they're worth it. I can look on my case when I get home!
