Almost 2 months pp.
Slacking on all goals. It's too hot for cardio. Seriously, sometimes I think something is wrong with me--I am sooo hot, all the time. I'm usually a very cold person. How to motivate myself to get back to running?
Basically, I walk the dog. I've started doing a lot of floor work, yoga, and stretching, because nursing is wreaking havoc on my neck, shoulders, and arms (I posted a long question about this on the breastfeeding board, if anyone else is having similar problems). I have a long way to go.
Also, athn64, I'm counting all things toddler. Especially when carrying the 35 pounds up and down the stairs. And happy early birthday!
What are you doing to stay active? Not much. It's so hot outside so I don't want to bring DD out for too long. When it cools down more I think DD and I will join DH, DS, and the dog on evening walks around the block.
How are you doing with your health and fitness goals? Mentally? Meh not great with health and fitness goals. I think I need to lose about 15 pounds still to get to pre pregnancy weight. I'm eating ok. I'm doing great mentally.
Anything else? I would love to go swimming, but I am still bleeding. I feel like I am the world's longest bleeder. This happened last time too. I'm sure that if I start exercising my bleeding will pick up more, so that's also discouraging me. I just want to stop already.
What are you doing to stay active? I am running 4-5 days a week. I walk on the other days. I have been strength training 3 days a week as well.
How are you doing with your health and fitness goals? Mentally? I am about 4 pounds to what I was when o got pregnant. And the have about 8-9 to what I want. I am exercising great now but worries what it will be like when o go back to work. Mentally I am good. Getting a little sad about going back in 3.5 weeks.
Anything else? I just want my hips to go back in size! I don't to buy new work pants.

manybellsdown. My almost 4 year old goes to school in the mornings so I run with the baby. I try to do a 20 minute strength session during a nap time. Running is my go to stress reliever so I have to do it. It is too hot to run in the afternoon so no matter the crappy sleep I still do it!

Thanks for this thread! I've been thinking we need to revive it.
I'm 12 weeks PP.
I'm on week 5 of an 8 week 5k training program which involves 4 workouts a week - it's a combination of running and interval training. I should be on week 6 but I'm behind because of a combination of horrendous heat and being on vacation the week before last. I've also been walking twice a week with some people from my local mom's group. DH and I have hiked a couple mountains but that was several weeks ago.
I'm glad I'm doing something but I feel way behind on my fitness goals. I'm just not getting in enough high-intensity workouts to start feeling stronger yet. I'm at my pre-pregnancy weight (plus or minus a couple pounds) but that's not what's important to me. I plan to start biking to work on good weather days when I go back next week. That's 6.5 miles each way, so it will be helpful.
Mentally I'm doing fine for the most part. I'm sad and anxious about going back to work, but I guess that's to be expected.
I've been going for daily walks with the baby and my dog. Bringing my dog means I can't walk as fast and make a lot of stops. I guess it's at least still something, but I'd like to walk faster and further.
I'm about 15 pounds below my pre-pregnancy weight, but I still have weight to lose and would like to tone up. I'm feeling good about the weight loss though. I had this fear I was going to hang onto the baby weight forever.
I need to stop snacking at night or if I do it needs to be healthier. I don't need to make eggless cookie dough to eat while watching the Olympics.
What are you doing to stay active? Not much this week! Dealing with mastitis and a cranky baby is taking all of my time. I hope to start some at home workouts next week. (Would anyone be game for some 30 day challenge thingies on here?)
How are you doing with your health and fitness goals? Mentally? I have my 6 week OB appt on Friday and I'm dreading what the scale will say. I'm not thrilled with how I look in the mirror lately. The clothes situation isn't helping.
DS is 8 weeks tomorrow. I'm trying to go on walks when it's not too hot. I'm back to pp weight but would like to lose 20 more to be healthier. I'm starting to get worn out from the night wakings. He's a great sleeper and I get a 4-5 hour stretch but I'd like more help as I've done 100% due to breastfeeding and DH being back at work while I'm still on leave. I would like more help in general but DH has been working long hours so I feel bad since I'm home all day and have less outside stress now than he does. But seriously I don't remember the last time he worked less than 60 hours a week other than his leave.
Oh and today I tweaked a muscle in my back and can't turn to one side now or pick things up. So I feel awful tonight but hoping it heals quickly.
Kevinmac 15 lb below pre-pregnancy weight? Wow. That's amazing! Good for you!
Thank you! I weighed a lot when I got pregnant- as much as a man- so I still have plenty to lose :-)
That's still pretty amazing. Haha, also I hope you don't compare yourself to men too much. I weigh more than many men too, but I'm at a healthy weight. This is true for a lot of women.
I need to exercise, I just can't find the time with work and ds1. I go on walks everyday but it's not enough for me to lose weight. I want to start going to the gym in the afternoon but I'm waiting until lo is 3 months old to put him in daycare there. According to my phone I'm getting on average 5,000 steps a day. Those are steps with my phone on me. My goal is 10k, but I've only done that maybe 10 times since baby.
Mentally I'm good. Last week was hard with my husband gone, but I survived. I think working out and getting stronger will just increase my happiness. I haven't stepped on a scale since my 6 week appointment. I know I probably have atleast 10 pounds if not more to go.
Not a ton right now. Walking a bit, but it is insanely hot so can't do a lot of that. Next week should be cooler so I can start walking more.
Not good. With all the stress of FIL's surgery I have been eating horribly. Mentally this week has been really tough and not everyone is handling the stress well and so tensions in the family are high. Hopefully when FIL gets out of the hospital things will calm down.

How many weeks pp are you? 2 months
What are you doing to stay active? Nothing?
How are you doing with your health and fitness goals? Mentally? 2 weeks of visiting family, back to work, a baby (and toddler) who never wants to be put down, the toddler deciding she wants to potty train, and overall laziness means my workout streak is over. I'm doing pretty good with not buyimg crap food and I've been too busy to snack as much so I'm actually losing weight. Still about 15 lbs to go. Really I just need some of my clothes to start fitting. Getting dressed for work is quite a challenge. Mentally I'm doing pretty good. Just trying to find our groove now that we're both working

10 weeks PP.
Still have 15 lbs to lose to get to pre-pregnancy weight. Grrr. Still wearing maternity leggings and loose dresses.
I'm mostly walking while carrying baby in the K'tan. I've run twice, but only a few miles. I obviously am not wearing the correct bra for the job. Can someone recommend a great running bra for my milk-bloated boobs? I was a small B and now I'm easily a DD. it's actually really painful to run right now, but I'm convinced with the right bra I can do better. As it is, I have to hold my chest when I run...it's hilarious.

tumbleweed I like Moving Comfort bras. The Fiona style is my favorite and goes up to a DD cup size. I used them pre-pregnancy too as I have always been a large-busted runner.
tumbleweed I second moving comfort. I was a B before and now am a D. The bras make it easy to run. I also use tank tops with the liner bra in it which adds to the support of the bra IMO.
I ran today for the first time since lo. I can't move my legs. Holy eff I'm sore. I am looking forward to building up my strength again. Although it hurts, I love the feeling of being sore. It makes me feel like I did something.

Oddly, your post is so inspiring! I miss that soreness! Nice work getting out there.
I am just so not motivated. I went for a 2 mile walk with the stroller yesterday, thinking I'd do it again today & start a 30 day flat abs challenge but instead I'm sitting on my cough eating skittles.
I am trying this week to get up early and run. That will have to be my schedule once I go back to work in a few weeks. I was up this morning and was successful.
