By things I mean things you can set or put your baby in and get stuff done while they chill. Lol
I don't know about you guys but despite not wanting all the things I ended up with all the thing. Some where hits, some were neutral, and some induce screaming lol
Hits for us: Rock n play and kick n play piano mat. At 3 months he decided his swing is okay (but I'm still not sure if I should sell it once he out grows it and get a more traditional swing...)
Misses; swing at first, bouncy chair, any type of wrap/carrier
Any things you guys are looking forward to trying out?
Cam loves the bouncer, his floor mat, and being worn. He also loves his floor seat but he isn't quite strong enough to sit in it for more than a few minutes. He does not like the swing!

He likes the RnP, which we borrowed, and his play mat. Loves all of the baby carriers. Not a fan of the swing that we have but tolerates the one at daycare as it goes side to side.
The RNP has been great for hanging out and for naps. He looooves his playmat now, although the first 6-8w he didn't really do much on it. He loves to sleep in the carrier but won't really tolerate it if he's not tired. We also like the boppy newborn lounger. We didn't buy a swing but he loves the one in the gym childcare, apparently!
The bouncer, play mat, and swing all work for her. At daycare they let her try the exersaucer yesterday and she enjoyed that, so I guess we will be breaking that back out soon.
The swing is it these days! The play mat is lost on her now that she rolls over on to her belly. She used to love it though! She has a seat she loves but isn't strong enough to sit there for a loooong time. I feel like we are in a weird in between stage.

I guess the bouncer? I think it's a bouncer. Those little chairs on a wire frame. I feel like it's the chair of neglect much like the exersaucer will be the circle of neglect in a few months. I put him in that thing to do everything I need to do around the house.
We have none of these things, but we make our own "play mat" by setting him on a blanket with books to look at or under a mobile. He will be happy there for 20-30 min after waking up in the morning so it's a good chance to eat breakfast and wash up.

Swing and Activity Mat. I wish we had a bouncer because I think that would be his favorite. I kind of forced the activity mat on him since we don't have a bouncer.
She sleeps in the rnp so I guess she likes that enough, but she doesn't like to be set down in it while awake for more than a few minutes. She likes to be wrapped, buy if she's in a bad mood it only sometimes works to soothe her. She generally likes it though and will often nap in it. She hates our swing, but I think it's because it's too slow for her. She likes to be rocked kind of violently. Lol.
We like all the things - just depends on her mood at the given time. She loves her Kick N Play more than our rain Forrest activity mat - I guess because it's alittle less busy. Loves the ring slog and KTan but usually falls alseep, bouncer chair and RNP are good options for sitting around. The one thing I would say she didn't like much was the Boppy newborn lounger. For us it lived up to its name and she only ever used it as a true newborn. I tried the Bumbo seat the other day but we aren't ready yet. I won't put out the exersaucer or jumper u til 4ish months and better head control.
M likes most things but like someone else said it depends on her mood. Both my kids loved the swing and it was/is something we can count on if a nap just isn't happening in the crib and I'm unavailable due to toddler care duties. She likes the playmat and will lay on it while I do/ fold the never ending laundry. We don't have a rnp but she likes the bouncy seat at daycare. We got a hand me down sit me up chair that she seems to like but we really only use it at dinner time to sit her in the table while we eat. I think she likes being part of the conversation and we sit her across from DS who entertains her. We haven't tried the jumperoo yet but I think she'll love it when she's big enough!
