Strollers, Travel Systems, and Car Seats

Have you ladies decided which strollers, travel systems, and/or car seats you will be getting?

If you are going for a travel system (with infant carrier) will you also be purchasing a car seat? Or will you wait until the baby is bigger to buy the car seat?

We are doing the Uppababy Mesa car seat with the Uppababy Vista stroller because it has the snap and go for car seat, a bassinet for infant and then the regular stroller.

We were between the uppababy and Peg Perego car seat because the uppa is a little heavier, but decided the ease of having one system with no adapters needed was best for us.

My husband also got a BOB jogger because he's a runner.. And I've heard joggers are easier for parks, etc.

We have the Britax b-safe, a baby jogger city select and a Bob. I love both strollers for different reasons and especially now that we need a double with two 15 months apart.

Another vote for the UppaBaby Vista and the Mesa car seat. Because decisions are hard.

We're going with the Baby Jogger City Mini GT in Sand/Stone. The adjustable handlebar, foam wheels, ease of folding, and maneuverability sold us. 
 
We've also purchased the Graco SnugRide Click Connect 35 LX in Hadley.  (PSA: it's on clearance right now at BBB!)  Ratings were positive, the seat felt comfortable, it looked good, and the colors more or less matched the stroller (sorrynotsorry aesthetics mattered to me).  It's also super easy to click in/click out of the base. 

To make it a travel system, we're buying the $30 Click Connect adapter for the stroller.

I'm irrationally excited about our gear and can't wait to play with it.

Last time we got the Chicco Keyfit 30 and Baby Jogger Elite. We're reusing both.

Almost this exactly.  We're going with a Britax B-Safe and a City Select.  We know we'd like two close in age and the City select (stadium seating esp.) is perfect for this.

We decided on the Britax B-Agile/B-safe Travel system a while back. I was waiting for the 2015 version to come out and the only real difference (that I noticed) was the base of the carrier/car seat. We're just doing the one stroller and that's it. I think we're going to hold off on getting a bigger car seat until the baby outgrows her carrier/seat.

A word of advice that one of my friends gave me was to absolutely get a child tray if the stroller doesn't already come with one. She said it was the best thing ever.

We bought the uppababy vista in navy and a maxi-cosi mico max 30. The car seat is so lightweight (the reason we were leaning towards it) and the stroller is perfect to grow with baby from newborn to toddler. And is convertable for 2 kids should we have another down the road:)

After Dh has done all of the research we are looking at the Bob Revolution Flex. We still have to go into a store and see how heavy it is/if I can fold up the stroller myself. DH said its a 2 latch system and that the car seat is one of the lighter ones. But seeing as how I am going to be doing 90% of the drop offs and pick ups it has to be something that I can easily hold (I have a bad back so light weight is important). For a while he really wanted the 4moms stroller that does everything with the push of a button, but financially its not realistic.

We purchased a Graco Travelling system, I forget the name of it but it was extremely light weight compared to the others. We will wait until baby is bigger to buy a car seat. I think the one it comes with goes up to 30 lbs, so we are good for a while.

We are doing the same and pateintly waiting for the 2015 model to come out. I know there is probably not a big difference, but we can wait, so we will.

Besides the awesome safety rating, what sold me was the weight. I am short and drive a mid size SUV. I wanted something ease to load in and out of the car by myself. I can't imagine lugging a strolled that weighs 30 lbs in and out. This stroller is barely 17 lbs!

we THINK that my FIL and his new wife are going to get us the stroller and car seat so while price is a priority its really not because im fine with making them spend a little bit more money!

Yes bc we have it from DS1. We have a 2010 Uppa Baby Vista in Myles? (it's turquoise). And the car seat is a Graco SnugRide 30 (classic connect), bc we have the Graco UB attachment from DS1. I have a love affair with the Vista. One of the top 5 "I can't live without" items from DS1. (best tryp chair, UBV, Ergo, Medela PISA and the UB bassinet stand for sleeping inside as a newborn)

eta: the Britax stroller was our other top choice, but the push bar was too low for me and I have some chronic back issues.

We went with the Graco snugride click connect 30 and the frame stroller rather than the travel system (it was on sale at Target so we got them both for $169). All the mom's in the area that I talked to said that the frame is just easier for getting in and out quickly than messing with the big stroller. We live in a very car oriented city. We plan to look at light weight strollers in about a year (whenever baby reaches 30lbs)and will probably go for more of a jogging style at that point. I just found out yesterday that my DH's job has a program for car seats at a HUGE discount. Since we already purchased the infant seat we are opting to get the convertible Graco (got good reviews) for $20(!!!) so that we already have our next upgrade ready to go!

We bought the Graco Snugride 30 classic connect and plan to purchase the Snugride Elite frame stroller (hoping to find one used!) and use that for the first few months while we research a more permanent stroller option. I liked the idea of doing it this way, because then I don't have to worry about any sort of compatibility between the car seat and stroller.

We got the Britax B-Safe and B-Agile on sale around Thanksgiving. We registered for a carseat for once LO grows out of the carrier, but I figure that we won't really need it for a while, so if we don't get it, we can do that when it comes time. I noticed a number of carseats for sale around Thanksgiving, too, so I'm hoping that LO won't outgrow the carrier for at least 5 months and we can aim to get another deal then.

I am registered for the Graco FastAction Fold Sport Stroller Click Connect Travel System. We tested them all out at BabiesRus and that was the one we liked the best in our price point.

So happy to see all the Uppababy Vista love here! I've got one too, in Silver with a black frame. Can't say enough good things about it, worth every penny and I might throw myself into traffic to save it. Ok, not really but that stroller is probably my favorite baby item.

We have the Britax B-safe car seat, not compatible with the UBV. Car seat is very sturdy, if not a tad on the heavy side. If I had to do it all over again, I would go with the Chicco because it's lighter and seem easier to lug. Bonus is that it would be compatible with the UBV, but I didn't find myself needing to click the infant seat into the stroller very often. I either baby wore, or wanted him in the stroller bassinet anyway.

I 90% decided on City Mini GT. I wanted good steering and something light. I'm choosing a Britax Meridian car seat that will work from newborn to 4yo so I can save money on capsules. I also can't imagine carrying baby and capsule together without struggling. Hopefully this is the right choice for us. I've gone back and forth so many times regarding the capsule in stroller thing.

Might want to do some extra research into this. This was my original choice but the adapters for the B-Safe have been recalled due to only locking in on one side. There isn't new adapters yet or adapters that accommodate the new models of the B-Safe. I've also heard that Britax will likely not be giving the okay on their rights to make new ones in order to keep it a more exclusive to their strollers and BOB.

We are going with the Britax B-Agile3/B-Safe 35 Elite System.

It's the 2015 model with the elite car seat. BRU has the seat in stock now, but nowhere is selling the travel system yet, so we are just patiently waiting!

DH's 3 cousins and aunt are going in on the gift together and getting it for us and we are super excited!!

We have the revolution flex and while it is on the heavier side for a stroller, I don't find it horrible. Lifting it 20 weeks pregnant hasn't been an issue. We also have a car that is really easy to get it in and out of.

I never used one.

But I didn't really want multiple strollers.  I wanted one that would work for everything.  (with the exception of jogging - I really didn't want a jogging stroller because I use my running for "me" time)

We are getting the UppaBaby vista and mesa for the stroller and car seat also due to the interchangeability and the fact that it can accommodate up to three children so hopefully it till be our only stroller purchase! And I was able to lift it pretty easily by myself.


Also, if being completely honest - I didn't look at joggers because I don't like to jog...
