1). Anybody read the new Harry Potter book? I'm halfway through but not that impressed.
2) I want to convince my wife to go on vacation this fall. Since E is sleeping pretty well I think it will be easier now than later when she is mobile.
3) anyone have any recommendations for vacationing in fall? We live in Midwest but I was thinking New England possibly or Chicago or NYC. Although thought of dealing with kids in big city sort of scares me.
4) I'm getting excited for fall
5) even asked C what she wants to dress up as for Halloween. She said "dress up. Frozen" and went to pull out her frozen dress my bros fiancé got her.
6) we went to park this morning on morning walk. Now trying get enough energy to go to library.
7) I've been off refined sugar since Saturday and I think I'm finally feeling better.
8) had some killer headaches last few days though.
9) L and I have been reading "The 5 Love Languages" together. It's actually been good for our relationship. And surprisingly, L is the one that suggested we do it.
10) we also went on our first date since E was born on Sunday afternoon (can't do nights right now as are too hectic). We played racquetball and had a very early dinner!
1. mahler5, I did read it. It's very different from her other books obviously, but I really enjoyed the story. I don't want to spoil anything but after reading it I really really want to see it. I think part of my problem is that since scripts don't read the same as a novel and I need to see how the actors bring the story to life.
2. It's just me in the office today. I love days like this. Pandora is going to be blaring
3. I saw mom yesterday and she's finally doing better. What a ride this has been, and it just started.
4. We're less than a month from our beach staycation. I'm so excited!
5. It's supposed to cool down a little this weekend, thank goodness!
6. Amazon Prime Pantry is my new favorite thing.
7. I'm getting back into reading, finally. Right now I'm enjoying Into the Forest by Jean Hegland and I just ordered That Night by Chevy Stevens.

1. So sleepy today 2. At 4am a noise woke us up, sounded like a dying battery alert. Could not figure out what it was. 1. DW and I had a lunch date today, it was nice. 2. She got a PT job after I got pregnant to help with expenses, but it's a grocery store job, so lots of standing bending etc. Her back has been acting up pretty badly, so she went to the chiropractor today, I am hoping this helps, bc the extra cash is really helpful. 3. I need new tires before next summer... It's about $1400 for all four. Better start saving. 4. The Claritin I took today really helped my headache although I hate taking meds while pregnant, but I absolutely can't suffer. 5. Counseling tonight, looking forward to our date after. Two dates in one day! 6. I've been eyeing new engagement and wedding bands. It'll be for our 10 year, so two years to go, but there are so so many options now. 7. Our baby's closet is filling up fast! 8. I can't wait for Labor Day weekend 9. I really hope at my 9/1 appointment we get to hear the heartbeat and find out all is well. I have been deathly afraid of a missed miscarriage at this point. 10. Drinking a gallon of water a day is hard work!
1. We had a planned power outage last night for maintenance. It was scheduled to be off between 9pm and 7am. Right before I felt a little stressed about the idea of not having power but it luckily ended up being a bit anticlimactic.
2. M and I are headed to Santa Fe tomorrow so M can meet her Great Grandmother and Grandfather. My mom is meeting us there and then my sister and brother in law are joining us for one night on their way back from dropping my niece off at college in Boulder. I always forget how popular Santa Fe is. We had a bit of a hard time finding a place to stay but ended up finding a house on Airbnb. A lot of hotels were full and there weren't many house options. I think the only reason this house was available was they just started renting it (we are their first guests).
3. Packing and laundry are on the top of my to do list today. Along with a bunch of other things. It's going to be a full day.
4. Baby sleep smiles just melt me.
5. Time to wake M up so we can go exercise.
CETs
6. Somehow I ended up being a horse trainer again. Teaching lessons twice this week after work, and then attending a show as a coach this weekend. I really like it, but things are busy!!
7. Booked my last trip of the year this week- Quito, Ecuador! Taking a friend with me on her first mileage trip.....never actually thought she'd take me up on the offer, so this could be hilarious.
8. Work's been on and off kinda annoying lately. I can't put my finger on exactly why though, I think it's a bunch of things.
9. We had a fun and very random weekend hanging out with a couple of different people we've met because of travel. It really takes all types.
10. Baby seems to be having an every other night schedule for sleeping really well through the night vs waking up a couple times and needing her paci put back in. If the pattern holds, tonight is a wake up night.

2. This weekend we went mini golfing, cleaned out a ton of stuff from our closets, did a night tour of the monuments, went out with friends (and their kids), and the kids had friends spend the night. Add in crappy behavior for the kids and impatience from DW and it was less than stellar at times.
3. Yesterday we had the kids' friends over all day and they alternated between playing video games, doing an art project with L, going to see Petes Dragon, and doing a team building activities with L.
3. Today we went to a couple of museums and then C started to punk out and complain of being cold. Turns out he has a fever of 102. Sigh. Poor bug.
4. He's been sleeping all afternoon. The kids have another friend on her way over since her parents are out of town for the night (with full disclosure about the fever.)
5. We had a whole day planned downtown tomorrow, but don't think that's going to happen.
6. Sadly we can't reschedule to later in the week since Thursday afternoon is back to school and Friday afternoon is their annual physical. Oh well. Maybe we can go when it's cooler out.
7. OMG. this heat needs to end. It is 6:45pm and the heat index is 100.
8. By next week it is supposed to cool off. YAY!!!!
9. I slept till 8:30 this morning. That is the latest I've slept in 10+ years. It was amazing and disconcerting.
10. I was up yesterday at 6am to get G signed up for winter swim. It took 2 hrs and multiple emails to the coach to get him registered. But that's done!

1. I go back to school tomorrow! (Technically classes don't start for another week but my schedule is actually worse for the next week helping with orientation for new students.)
2. I just got home from "escape the room" where you are locked in a room and have an hour to follow clues and get out. We just barely made it out at 60 minutes on the dot! It was definitely tricky!
3. One more week of my TWW!!
4. We're going on a little getaway for a wedding this weekend. Super excited!
5. Watching the Olympics right now. DW just goes "well he's an attractive fella" lol lol.
6. I went to a friend's baby's bris last night and saw a circumcision up close. It was very interesting. The baby handled it like a champ but it was pretty sad to watch. Apparently I had a horrified look on my face that I wasn't even aware of!
7. This is all I can think of for right now... I'll start getting super random if I try to think of 3 more things.

I've been teaching a local Pony Club lesson about once a week, which is mostly intro/training level dressage. We also have a new kid leasing our horse once a week now, so I've been doing lessons with her. She's hunter/jumper and Pony Club, so 2'3"-2'6" fences and flatwork. I do enjoy it, and it's a good way to cover the better part of our horse expenses. I prefer teaching riders with some experience- it's more interesting, and less stressful!
