R woke up just in time to ruin my awesome dream. It may not sound interesting, but it was about newspaper writers and conspiracy nuts and trying to teach the new guy how to identify them or something. I think. I don't know. But I was super into it and then BAM! Crying. Dream ruined.
Y'all. I am so sorry I've been MIA. The last week has been insane.
My mom was in town for a week - she left yesterday.
Last Tuesday B had a tiny bit of blood in his stool. Got an appt for Wednesday. It's MSPI 😩 So got him some formula. Wouldn't take a bottle of BM or formula. So for the last week we have been practicing with bottles and finally as of yesterday he isn't fighting it. Today I'm going to start mixing formula in.
I'm pretty upset about not nursing anymore but it will actually work out better for work and not having to pump there.
THEN with my mom here I decided I would potty train DD. So we did the 3 day method and it worked like a charm. We started on Thursday morning and she hasn't had an awake accident since Friday morning. And she's even done well while sleeping - but still iffy about if she will wake up wet or dry.
So there's all that. And I go back to work on Tuesday. Eek!!

Why is my kid waking up so freaking early?!! She hasn't slept past 5:00 in ages. Last night, I moved her bedtime up an hour thinking going to be early might help but nope! She has been up for the day since 4:00! Thankfully DH took her so I could sleep until 7 because she had me up practically all night because of her cold.

Thinking about taking the kids to the park this morning to burn off some energy. With all the hoopla of the gymnastics camp DS1 got angry at the gym daycare center yesterday when a little 1 year old knocked over his tower. Out of frustration he threw the blocks at her and I was promptly called to take him home. Like WTH!! Where did my sweet boy go? I'm just at a loss... I hope he is better behaved today because I really don't want to give up my gym membership because my kid can't behave. We will have a good talk about throwing blocks prior to dropping him off.
On a different note, DS2 has a sweet mullet/rat tail going on!

I'm so sorry. That must be so hard. I wish I had tips but I have no toddler experience!

DS slept well again last night. About 8:30pm - 4:30am. I'm feeling a bit weird now after eating my salad for lunch. I joked with H that if I die it's the salad, because some of the leaves are brown on the edges and the chicken is just over a week old (i cooked it last tues). But now I just feel super sleepy and light headed. Considering going to the pumping room to "pump" and taking a power nap in the recliner. Employee of the month??

You know nursing is more gentle on the stomach than formula, right? Or do you not want to give up dairy/soy?

Try moving bedtime back by 15 mins. Give it a few days then move it back another 15 mins. Works better for some babies. Also it usually takes a few days to see a difference.
I feel so behind on the boards - life with 2 kids and full time job is busy for sure.
I'm mobile so tagging sucks - I'm sorry for the MSPI MrsW but I'm glad baby is taking the bottle and you are finding the positives with your return to work
walkek85 sorry for all the toddler troubles we turn 3 next month and I have no good advice. DD1 sure gives us a run for the money most days..

walkek85 that made you take him home over that? That's ridiculous. They have to learn how to play well with others. It's not an inherent ability. I mean some adults still don't know how to play well with others

Last night DH offered to help with watering the plants and some other garden/outside stuff that is typically what I do. I agreed and thanked him for taking care of it. This morning I noticed that he "weeded" some of my potted plants....by pulling out the accent plant in the middle. Apparently he thought it was grass. I couldn't help but laugh at how his helpfulness backfired. The rest of the flowers look good though!

We had a crap night here. DS was fussy because of his cold and ear infection and kept kicking me all night; A decided that 11:30 was party time; and I have a cough (thanks DS) that kept waking me up. On top of that, DS decided to get up at 4 and that he wanted to go downstairs and would not accept "it's 4am, go back to sleep" for an answer. Since he was screaming and I didn't want him to wake the baby, I went downstairs, turned on Disney Jr, handed him some cheerios and a cup of milk, and napped on the couch for an hour and a half until DH relieved me. I think someone might get some bendryl tonight to help with his congestion. Yep, just the congestion.
OMG be jealous. R let me sort of sleep in until 11a! Granted she was sleeping next to me which means being kicked constantly and with my boob in her mouth for half of it, but she didn't wake up for the day until 11a!!! I needed that so much.
Today I have to take her in a taxi to my doctor's appointment all by myself. I'm nervous that she'll cry the whole time. Or that I won't get the car seat in tight enough and it won't be safe. Ugh. I really hope it goes smoothly. I'm so anxious about this!
I need to figure out what the heck I ate or drank yesterday/today. I pumped a full 4oz over what my kid eats at daycare - feeling like a freaking champ lol

I was going to spend this afternoon building Blackboard websites for my classes, but the whole system appears to be down. Guess I might as well pick up the kids early.
mrsw062610 - I don't blame you! I like food too much to give up that much of it.
mrsw062610, both my kids are MSPI! I am counting days to my next slice of cheesecake. What formula were you "prescribed"? I have to buy a back up plan just in case but am not site which one to go for! I I kwow the options, but have to talk to pedi about it.
