Between the kids, crap night here too! teraiin, 8oz in one sitting??? That would be too much in my opinion for that amount of time for a 3mo old!
Yeah I realized I was silly for even wondering once DS started fussing. He's been burping and whining since. Poor kiddo.
Also and so you guys don't think I left that much milk? I left 5 oz figuring roughly 1 oz an hour. But I left a 3 oz bottle there yesterday when we swam.
She said he took almost the full five shortly after I dropped him off and the oth 3 right before I picked him up.
Dear doctor, you called me asked me to come in early. Not only that, but you called me at 230 to see if I could be here at 330! Well, im here!!!! Will you see me now??? Bc apparently there are 3 ahead of me!? Sooooo why am I paying my sitter extra?
teraiin 8 oz at once would be too much but (2) 4oz wouldn't necessarily be since he's sleeping a long stretch now and will go a while before eating again. Did you feed him right before? Some babies want to eat more when they are away from their moms and others hardly want to eat at all, and then make up for it the next time they are with mom. It could also be that you MIL is using feeding to comfort him without trying a bunch of other things first if he is fussy. I'd give her some suggestions. Also, the baby is way more efficient than the pump, so he's probably getting more than you think while nursing.
Our fav. baseball team is in town so we took the baby to his first game! He did great. He loved watching all the people and napped for part of it. The hearing protection we had for DS1 was too big, but I covered his hears whenever it was loud. So far, he has hated the ergo, but I wore him for the first part of the game and now that he will take a pacifier, he will tolerate the ergo for a while. It also helped that I can just use the pillow from the infant insert and not the whole insert, so it's not as hot.
Also, DS1 and I both loved the ergo. I got rid of the one I had and debated about getting the ergo 360, but ended up buying a used regular ergo. Of course, DS2 loves being held looking outward, so I really wish I got the 360. My kids are polar opposites as infants, can't wait to see what the future brings!
teraiin the only time baby I has eaten that much is during a growth spurt. He averaged 2oz/hour for half of a day. Have you had your 3m growth spurt yet?
fishbulb hopefully everyone feels better tonight and you all get some rest!
@led I'm so jealous of your good sleep!
DD's cold just sucks. She's also fussing in her sleep already so I'm sure we are gearing up for another rough night. She has been congested for 8 days now! I am at a loss. I just keep using saline and sucking her nose.

I thought he had because he was super fussy a week or so ago. But now I'm not so sure. He was pretty fussy last night and today he's eaten a ton. I don't know exactly how much he ate today but he took another 3.5 oz this evening. Nurses two normal length sessions tonight (usually weighed feed is around 3.5oz) and was snacking this morning.
You are probably right though, maybe he's jsut hitting it a bit late.

Have you tried maybe steaming up the bathroom and sitting in there with her for awhile to see if the steams clears it up even temporarily? fx it's not a rough night!

We had a good day here. I got to sleep in until 9:45am. We went to mom group, I got my brows threaded, picked up a yummy salad for supper and went for my first little run from c25k. Now I'm nursing ds2 to sleep.

Oooh I love your ring sling k3am . I was wondering if it works well for this age. Are you hands free with it?
I really like it for this age so far. Both hands are free, but he occasionally needs me to support his head if he's being lazy. A traditional carrier or wrap would be better for wearing for extended periods of time, but the ring sling is nice because you can put it on without putting down the baby. This will probably be my go to for the grocery store just because of how quickly I can get him in/out. (But not for Costco.. because I seem to spend hours - and $100+! - when all I want is toothpaste)
DH took the day off work tomorrow (or today rather, Thurs) to take us to a posh spa in the city for massages. Our 5 year wedding anniversary is Saturday and it's an early celebration. I'm excited!
He also offered to take all night wake ups tonight (& she's sleeping in her crib, FX that goes well). But when I was doing her bedtime routine around 11pm, he was like "I'm going to bed, I can't stay awake ....I think I'm more tired than you because I'm used to being asleep by now." He did tell me to wake him up if I need him. But really buddy? He's really sweet to plan something special for us tomorrow but I'm still annoyed by that comment! Haha

mrsw062610 - I don't blame you! I like food too much to give up that much of it.
mrsw062610, both my kids are MSPI! I am counting days to my next slice of cheesecake. What formula were you "prescribed"? I have to buy a back up plan just in case but am not site which one to go for! I I kwow the options, but have to talk to pedi about it.
We can use either Nutrimigen or Alimentrum. Trying Nutrimigen first bc I've read better things about it. I've given him some and he acts like his tummy hurts after he drinks it so I don't know.

Yeah, both are tough to pick from. They both still have the proteins in them, just very broken down. He may need a little time to adjust.
