I was really excited to go to bed at 9 last night. Then our wired smoke alarm went off at 11 and I couldn't fall back asleep because I was worried our house was on fire and we just couldn't find the source. At least DS slept through the commotion.
I really felt like crap last night and I can't describe it. I just felt totally uncomfortable. My knees hurt, my hips hurt and I felt short of breath. It's gone today- thank god!
I am starving today. I'm trying not to over eat, but it seems impossible right now. I want a second breakfast asap.
Last night after dinner I ate two cheese burgers, fries and a big bag of popcorn. I had a bagel with cream cheese for breakfast and now I am starving again.
My toaster sucks. Level two turns my waffles into hard plates, and level one leaves them cold. And then I get sick of them 1 1/4 waffles in.
And DH forgot to leave the gate to the pasture open so the guy mowing the ditches could turn his tractor around, so when he heard him coming down the road he had to 'spring' out of bed. Now the dogs thing something is wrong this morning, and we've got two extra on top of our four, so it's a lot of barking.
Home from early work shift.. I gave one of the twins a bag of groceries to carry (light). She saw I had milk, which she wanted, so she asked to carry that. I set it down and she says "It's TOO big! It's TOO cold!" while signing cold. It was soo adorable.
Got hubby out the door. The teenagers are supposed to start their virtual high school today, but we have no login. Oh well.. another day of summer and we'll do school this Saturday instead, I guess? Time for me to try and get a quick nap in!
I'm officially a substitute teacher! The board approved me Monday, and I'm subbing for the music teacher on Friday, for a half day. Then I'm leaving to go stay at my brothers for the weekend, to feed his pigs and alpacas. Because all my family is going back to Utah for the weekend, it's a cousin reunion on the lake.
They're staying 10-20 people in yurts. My hippy aunt and cousin are bringing all their hippy friends too, and putting on a concert. I didn't feel a 10 hour drive was worth staying in a yurt with ALL my extended family for two days, surrounded by hippies.
I had to do a load of laundry before leaving the house because I was out of shorts with an elastic waist. My blump has taken shape as huge love handles. Not attractive. I tried on some side panel maternity pants yesterday but they didn't fit. I'm not sure what to do once school starts...maybe lots of pullover cotton dresses with spanx?!
Quinstar I don't know....that sounds kind of worth the pain for the stories you'd be able to tell...
We went back and forth on going or not... It is my family, and I feel a little left out, but in the end... I can't be cooped up with my aunts for two days. One of them is horrible, she's told me I will end up hating my life because DH and I spend too much time together. I can't deal with her advice on children, since she's had none, she'll be full of advice.
The hippie one has a boyfriend who called us women of the family 'sturdy, hardy pioneer type women'. And my hippie cousin spends 90% of his time high, and singing. His job description is 'wandering ministerial'. He sings in the park for money.
And there will still be stories. My mother will share all the fun details, and I'll share with you all
My night started by DH saying, "I'm getting baby duty again?". To which I replied, "yes, because ive had baby duty every night for 13 months, darling.". DD woke up at 1130, then was up from 2-4am, which is so unlike her. H went in twice, I finally went in and nursed her, which did nothing to help. Then I got nauseous from being up so long so H went back in while I dry heaved over the toilet, and she finally fell asleep. I ate a granola bar, which I thought helped, until I woke up at 430 and threw it up then I threw up a preggy pop this morning. At least I made it 5 days further without throwing up than I did with DD.
In better news, we refinanced our house today to a 20 year mortgage and much better interest rate! So at least I know that our house will be paid off before we turn 50 (although my plan is to get it paid off in 10 years). Yay financial goals!
Quinstar , I had to look up what a yurt was! But congrats on the substitute teacher!
Y'all, I just finished a presentation at work for about 10k employees. I've never done anything like that before! Whew! I've been a ball of nerves all week, but it went great!
missi virtual highschool?! I wish I went to that highschool.
@quintstar your hippie family sounds awsome. UO? Lol. That sounds like a fun reunion. Minus that crazy aunt.
@justinslovo what?! That is ridiculous! I hope you can negotiate to keep the price you all originally agreed on. That would suck if you have to pay extra.
I always get so gassy and bloated at the end of the day. I just want to fart and I'm on a crowded train. The torture! Lol.
I'm exhausted and refuse to deal with dinner. Just want to relax tonight.
missi virtual highschool?! I wish I went to that highschool.
Me too! We switched to a newly offered curriculum this year called Strongmind.com. It looks amazing.. so the girls are actually bummed that they don't get to start today. lol How about that for two teenagers? Upset they can't start. We have a class gathering every Wednesday, and they're involved in two extracurricular activities.
