kaits8 I know I can be more blunt than the average person, but I would say something along the lines of "I've found a baby that has a greater need for the milk. I'm able to offer you (x amount) of oz if you want to arrange a time to pick it up" no need to lie.
This is exactly what I was going to suggest, so +1!
I've been so tired at night and sleeping really heavy. It's to the point where I'll fall asleep on one side and only wake up to move because my arm has fallen completely asleep and starts to hurt/tingle. I've also slept through a few random wake ups from the toddler...oops. Thankfully DH has been taking care of it without waking me up.
kaits8 If I were in your shoes, I'd feel absolutely no obligation to give my pumped milk away to the toddler mom, so I'd hold out until I found someone with a much younger baby to give the milk to.

Same here. I sleep really heavy when I'm pregnant.
Just got back from my Dr appointment. Everything went great so I'm very relieved. We were able to find the heartbeat with out the ultrasound machine and since this was the 5th good appointment since they removed the IUD I'm no longer high risk! Yaaay!
@justinslovo, that is perfect! I think I'll do that! I ended up postponing the pickup until this weekend b/c I realized I would be in her area anyways (she lives about an hour away), so I offered to meet her since I'll be driving right past her exit. So at least I have a few more days to work up the courage to tell her I only have X ounces for her.
Thank you again, everyone, for your help and support! I feel much better about things now
In other news..I just went and spent another $100 at Target on DD. I need to stop. But I justified it with the fact that DH just said we need to get her some 18 month clothes b/c she's starting to outgrow 12m. So it's ok, right?

A rep for one of the companies I write for just left. He told me about a feature with their company that will literally save me 2-3 days worth of work during my busy season. I shit you not, my eyes started filling up with happy tears. Hormones about got the best of me.
Guise. Next week can we start doing UO and FFFC? All we really have are randoms and check ins (soon HDBD)!
Yes!!! Speaking of HDBD, when should we start doing that? The first half of the month is into double digit weeks by now, so we'll have real bumps before we know it!
I started taking "bump" pictures at 12 weeks last time I think? I didn't have one for while after that but maybe when the first hits 12-13 weeks?

If my mental math is correct, people due on 3/2 would be 12 weeks today. So HDBD next Wednesday? I'll only be 10w5d then, but I'll play, even if it's mostly still just bloat.
If everyone is on board with it then next week lets start HDBD, UO, and FFFC!
I definitely know I hit 12 weeks yesterday.. because this migraine isn't kicking.. and my doctor said nothing but Tylenol and caffeine until 2nd tri (13 weeks in their minds). So.. YAY!! 12 weeks.. booo.. headache.
I'm currently on the way downstairs to dig up food for the kiddos and myself. Just took an hour nap with a heating pad wrapped around my neck and shoulders. (yeah, I know, most migraine suffers, do ice.. it makes me tense up and get worse.. I'm weird.)
(I didn't participate in the tmi thread.. but when I have a migraine, I drool sooo much when I'm sleeping >< It's worse when I'm pregnant. My poor pillow!!!)
For all those with MS, first I hope you feel better and second, I'm hoping to offer a glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel.
I ate a real lunch in front of people at work today! We had a grill out and I figured I'd spend the time pushing food around the plate, but I actually ate. I haven't really ate much in front of others or even much at all since starting to get sick over a month ago. I am so pumped!
I say start the threads. I'm not a HDBD person, but I'll participate in UOs and FFFCs.
I like the idea of HDBD, UO, and FFFC threads starting next week. Fun!
Should we start a sex reveal thread, too? I know we've had one person find out already but I imagine we'll have more in coming weeks for those doing genetic testing. Maybe the next person to find out could start one?
In other news, I found the heartbeat on my Doppler today! I'm only 8ish weeks so I really wasn't expecting to find it, but there it was. I love that sound.
Another random person commented on my pregnancy this am (cashier at Walmart). Then my coworker gave me the first belly rub. She can't believe that no students have asked yet, but I'm relieved bc I'm totally not ready for all the middle school students to know just yet.
I am scared that a student will ask me before I have announced it to coworkers and my boss. My plan (because I have thought it through a billion times) is that if someone asks, I'll just say "well that's not a very polite question" and change the topic. I am telling my boss next Thursday so after that I won't be quite so afraid. Here I am in the meantime, trying to suck in my belly but it refuses to be hidden. Flowy shirts for lyfe

Awww! How lovely
I was really debating getting a Doppler. I think in the end it might just make me more anxious?

FLOWY SHIRTS FOR LYFE!
I'm only 8w today, but will be 11-12 weeks when school starts. I'm going to see how long I can push it before people start asking/giving me looks.
H and I were talking about it and how would this be received if someone had done a naked Hillary? I feel like it would be completely different. Not trying to be political necessarily, just an interesting social thing going on here.

I think it really depends. I used it throughout my pregnancy with DS and found it really reassuring but I also was always able to find the heartbeat very easily. I've heard stories of people not being to find the heartbeat because of position of baby/placenta, so I could see how it would make the anxiety worse for some people.

Yeah I think if I couldn't find the heartbeat I wouldn't be able to a chill person and say "oh, I probably just can't find it, but I'm sure everything is fine" haha. I'd be calling my OB like a crazy person and they would probably ask me to give them the doppler.

That is amazing! My OB couldn't find either HB via Doppler at my 11 w appt.
