I'm so tired. DD1 has been waking up so early this week and wakes her sister in the process. She won't stay in her room at bedtime either, so she was up way too late and is going to be super grumpy today. Wish me luck... And patience.

Good luck today carrots! We had a wicked storm here last night. I don't think I've ever seen so much lightning at once. It was awesome. I saw this on Facebook today. It's a seatbelt safe parka. I'm surprised no one thought of this sooner. I'm not sure they look warm enough for the winters up here though. bit.ly/29SKoZk
musicfrk2002 we had breakfast for supper last night too, complete with scrambled eggs lol, even though I'm one of the meh on many eggs..but there's BACON.
A friend of mine just posted ice hockey skates on our buy and sell that might fit DD this winter. Might buy them.
We have a family Saskatoon afternoon date planned, hit up the fun park with the spray pad, playground, and a couple rides with a friend of mine and her almost one year old, then we're thinking supper by the river and ice cream at the vintage double decker bus turned ice cream shack, it's a cool little place and I've been by it many times but never stopped for ice cream!
Morning! Good luck today carrots! You are finding out the sex, right? Keep us posted!
LO was supposed to have his OT evaluation yesterday (for lack of chewing) and I ended up canceling it. H and I agreed together to table it for awhile longer since he seems to be showing some improvement. Plus I really don't feel like getting a $300 bill in the mail for them to just have told me to keep working on it. We've been down this road before several times with DS and varying issues he was evaluated for. It's always just a "we'll keep an eye on it and re-evaluate him in 6 months" kind of answer and I'm over it. This time I'm going to wait until I personally feel more concerned.
I just sat down at the computer and smelled pee. The dog peed all over his clean bed and blankets last night. After I gave him a bath. I don't think he smells like pee but now I have to rewash everything. Not amused. It also means that H most likely didn't put him out like I asked. Super not amused.
Update: H did let Carl out. Either he was marking, being an asshat, or is sick. I'd like to pick asshat. If he was marking, it means he'll do it again.
Just a boring Thursday here. Yesterday I thought I was going to have to take today off, so I was scrambling to get ahead. Then late in the afternoon I wound up switching the procedure to Monday. So now I'm enjoying being ahead of the game, and am ignoring the fact I'll be scrambling Tuesday to catch up from Monday. Oh well.
I'm also heavily debating leaving my Lean Cuisine in the freezer at lunch today and opting for a sandwich instead, most likely from Jimmy John's.

Did your older son have chewing issues as well?
No, he was evaluated for hearing and speech delays. Speech is no longer an issue, he's all caught up.
I'm glad it's nearly the weekend - although it's going to be a busy weekend! Next week should be a good week. All our groups and classes are starting up again and I'm so excited. L will be delighted. And we're having a date on Saturday because my mum recently informed us that she thinks we should have a date at least once a month :-)

Would you not get DS2 checked out incase there's an underlying swallow problem that might be easily fixed. Have you researched how common chewing issues at this age are? I don't know anything about it so for me I would have kept the OT appointment for piece of mind at the very least. Has the chewing improved drastically? Is that why you cancelled?
I canceled it because I am not concerned about it now, like I was when I initially brought it up to his pedi. There is definite improvement, but I wouldn't call it drastic. He used to gag on things like puffs and now he can eat them by the handful, and can handle crunchers which he was unable less than a month ago. I'm happy with his improvement and his pedi told me from square one we could always cancel the OT if I felt we didn't need it anymore. They have already followed up with me to discuss my choice to cancel it and they agree it's fine to table it for now.
I'm hanging at my sister's today to watch the kids while she's out. I have the two Littles (including mine) napping & the two oldies (3 &8 yrs old) watching a movie. Score for the aunt!
