We bought a new one last year - I can't remember what it is. My biggest piece of advice - take the time to go and try them out. Find a helpful and knowledgable sales person to help. It took us a few hours to make a decision.

I tried the tuft and needle and loved it, it's firmer than the Casper I've read but for me it's soft where it needs to be. Their return policy is great and trial period is too. And a cal king for $750!!!! We paid over 2k for our current one and it's gone to shit after 5 years.

The price is amazing! The Casper is a little more, but after reading comparisons, I'm leaning that way. I think I'd like that it's a little softer.
It's why my sister wants to get it, my H likes the firmer and since I tried it and didn't think it was excessively firm I think it will work for us.
I get way to excited at the thought of a new mattress... So sad lol

We have a regular coil mattress for our room, but for the guest room since we didn't have any furniture we got a Leesa. It is pretty similar to the Casper but it's made of a more durable foam top. Price wise they're in the same range. I really like it - I have slept on it a few times while DH is sick and its very supportive. It also does a better job absorbing movement so sleep partners aren't disturbed, though all foam mattresses should do that. My mom loved it and was surprised it was so cool. She has a memory foam mattress topper that doesn't vent heat well so it can make you hot while you sleep.

I was wondering about this. I've heard memory foam can sometimes hold heat. I don't know that I would mind (I generally make a cocoon of blankets when I sleep anyway), but mh would probably get hot.
I think they're all designed to be cooler - but gel foam is the coolest. Non gel foam will get hotter if you tend to sleep hot. But it's all come a long way in the last decade.
It is not any warmer than our old coil mattress. The movement absorption is amazing - I'm a very light sleeper, and I no longer wake up when my husband gets out of or into bed.
We just bought a sleep number yesterday. Prior to that, we had a Cas.per which we are moving into the spare room.
I liked the Cas.per, but I didn't think there was anything special about it. I didn't get into bed and think "omg! My bed is so comfortable." That being said, I never woke up uncomfortable. We would have kept it longer but wanted to put a queen size bed in our guest bedroom.

I highly recommend the Serta icomfort. We bought the least expensive one because it was the firmest. It does not hold heat like the tempur pedic. With that said we both have tempur pedic pillows and they were completely and totally worth the $100 each. My neck thanks me daily.
