Achievements: DD2 is completely potty trained, again, lol. It was much easier the second time around.
Challenges/How I'm doing: This time of year always feels overwhelming. Start of a new school year and soccer season for DD1. I also rather unexpectedly decided to sign DD2 up for two mornings a week at a co-op preschool. I wasn't planning to enroll her but we heard good things, I decided to check the place out and I liked it a lot. So we signed up. I'm nervous about doing co-op because that's an entirely new concept for me and I'm feeling unsure about sending DD off to preschool when she's already had a lot of transition to home and back to daycare and then back home again in 15 months time. Basically just in general overwhelmed.
Plans for the week: The weather is a little cooler this week around here so I'm hoping to spend some time outside. Picnic with the new co-op Wednesday. Friends over Friday morning.
Vent: We went out for our anniversary Saturday, our friends offered to babysit. Went to a hibachi place. Dinner was good but so ridiculously expensive and service was not good. It's so frustrating to spend money on a sub par experience. But it was really nice to get out.
GTKY: Favorite hobby is definitely reading. I just recently started getting back into it and it's really just the best!
Happy belated anniversary @mommatotwo! I'm sorry the service wasn't very good
Achievements: First dentist appointment went really good. Let the dental tech clean her teeth and floss.
Challenges: Can I just say Threenager? All week we've been fighting over getting her to eat dinner...because she wants me to help feed her. Of course the logical argument that she can feed herself breakfast and lunch, so she is perfectly capable of feeding herself don't work. Although tonight we didn't have any problems.
Plans for the week? Try to be outside as much as possible to make up for having to stay inside all last week. There's a horse show down the street Friday and Saturday, so we might walk down there and watch for a while.
How are YOU doing? Not too bad, DH let me sleep in today so that was nice. We also are in the middle of planning a big vacation next year for our 10 year anniversary, so I keep going from really excited to being terrified of leaving DD.
Gtky- What is your favorite hobby? Do you want to learn any new hobbies? It would probably be a tie between playing music or reading. Both are things I don't seem to have nearly enough time to do. It's not really a hobby, but I'm attempting to learn French.
@auri- we've struggled with DD2 wanting me to feed her too. For us, it came along with the potty training regression right after she turned 3. I'm not sure what causes them to want to go backwards like that, I think it might be them feeling overwhelmed by growing up. I just stayed persistent with the talk about how great it is to be a big girl and all of the things that come with it, and she's slowly turning around.
Achievements: DD is eating breakfast without a fight everyday for the past week or so. Part of me feels bad because she's been eating pop tarts, but the other part of me is so happy she is actually eating breakfast that I don't care.
Challenges: Keeping the house clean still. I sweep almost every day. I really need to have H mop, but we were so busy this weekend. I might end up doing it on my own, but I'm trying to delegate.
Plans for the week? field trip and park play date with SAHP today, library sometime this week, Mommy and Me Thursday, Midwife appointment Friday, and hopefully a play/movie date with my cousin and her daugthers sometime this week
How are YOU doing? good, just indecisive about paint colors for DD2's name craft. I did turquoise and purple, then pink and yellow, which I love the pink and yellow, but the pink is a hot pink and I don't like that so much.
Q's/Vent? Nothing really.
Gtky- What is your favorite hobby? Do you want to learn any new hobbies? I like to sew, but really have to be in the mood to do it. I'd like to learn how to make an afghan.

Achievements: summer break is nearly over! I survived!
Challenges: just getting ds to not dump every.little.thing he plays with. Currently I have potato head parts, Legos, & magnetic blocks to not trample over that have migrated into the hallway
Plans for the week? School starts this week! Yahooo! Tomorrow is open doors where we meet the teacher, etc. Dh is coming home early tomorrow & off Wednesday so we can have a day all to ourselves. SO looking forward to it.
How are YOU doing? Pretty good. Just tired. Today my internet has been wonky. It's taking me forever to get through this episode of my show. Frustrating.
Q's/Vent? I guess I vented in the previous question lol
Gtky- What is your favorite hobby? Do you want to learn any new hobbies? Honestly just watching TV in peace, uninterrupted is my idea of a good time. I don't have many hobbies I guess. I'm too tired to think of a new hobby I'd want to try.
Achievements: We left DD overnight for the first time this past weekend. It was nice to have some time away with DH. And she did great for my mom.
Challenges: She has been an absolute terror since coming home. I think we all had a taste of not being told what to do by each other and now none of us wants to go back to that.
Plans for the week? We don't have many plans, which is stressing me out. Neither DD nor I do well without mixing things up during the week. I've sent out some texts to mom friends to try to get together. I'd like to go to the beach too. But I'm getting tired and big and more nervous about chasing her around.
How are YOU doing? I really enjoyed getting away for the night. It was so nice to see that life still exists out there. But since being home with DD acting up sooo much, I feel like being away is a distant memory already.
Q's/Vent? Guess I already vented
Gtky- What is your favorite hobby? Do you want to learn any new hobbies? I like reading if I can find the right book. I like crocheting when I have a project I want to do. I liked gardening when I could.
Plans for the week? Projects, errands, playing, maybe an event this weekend.
How are YOU doing? Feeling eh today but otherwise good overall.
Q's/Vent? Nope. Gtky- What is your favorite hobby? Do you want to learn any new hobbies? Hmmm. Tough choice. I have a fair number of hobbies. Rather than new hobbies right now, I would like to learn more skills and techniques within some of my areas of crafting and similar hobbies that I am already into.

We went to an amusement park yesterday and DD1 stayed dry all day and even used the bathroom there. I was very impressed.
Getting DD1 to actually tell us she needs to go potty. She is doing really well at staying dry but she's not really telling me she has to go. I just put her on and she goes so I'm hoping the telling us part clicks soon.
Library today so we can get new books and a new movie, a field trip to the park tomorrow for some painting and a scavenger hunt, and I think the splash pad Friday if it's warm enough.
Pretty good, just tired.
I don't know that I really have any hobbies. I am going to get myself a book at the library today and hopefully get back into reading.
He learned how to "high five" and tried teething biscuits for the first time.
He has been waking up motn again, screaming for more food.
This Thursday we are taking a day trip to my bestie's new house and having ourselves a little 6 month photoshoot. Otherwise, nothing planned.
Me, ugh. Here's my vent. We can't catch a break. Over he past few months we have spent almost $2000 on car repairs, and still have to get new tires on my H's vehicle. Last week I blew a tire and had to buy a new tire on my vehicle. We just spend $500 on the dog's surgery (getting some bad cysts/tumors removed). Today my H just cracked a tooth and a chunk is missing. Our dental insurance sucks, so this will be a lovely bill. I've just been watching our savings account drain. Not only does that suck regardless, but I'm worried I won't be able to stay home with the baby as long as I'd like the way it's going.
was there a lot to do for LOs? We haven't been since having DS yet.
Yes I thought so! My DD is only 2.5 and she was able to ride quite a bit of the kiddie stuff, a lot more than I thought actually. They have three areas for kids and two of them are Snoopy themed. They also had an extreme sports show which was pretty cool with bikes, skaters, gymnasts.

tkford216 I'm so sorry about all the money troubles, it's really tough and frustrating because it always seems to pile up at once. We have to take our dog in soon for a lump so I'm sure that will be a pretty penny.
May I join you? Achievements: DD tried to take her first step away from a wall. DS is waving! Challenges: just started a new WFH gig for a few hours a week. Balancing that and trying to navigate this new SAHM thing is hard. Plans: impromptu trip to see the in laws this weekend. Zoo with another twin mom on Friday. Me: enh, struggling with my relationship with DH. It's obviously changed and I'm not sure if I like it... A work in progress, for sure. I'm also trying to figure it how to get out more with the babies without the house going to shambles or feeling like I'm neglecting them or screwing with their schedules. Vent: nothing at the moment... Hobbies: I miss hobbies. Should probably pick some back up... New hobbies? I think I'd just like to get back into some I already have...

schmella welcome! Both times now the first year has been super challenging with dh. It takes some time to adjust to a new life and finding that balance. Hopefully you can work something out and get to where you want to be soon
schmella, welcome. It takes quite some time to find one's family's new normal, especially when you have a moving target (a.k.a. babies changing so rapidly during that time). I hope you guys get to a good place soon.
schmella Welcome! I remember some of the worst fights H and I had were when DD was in her first year. It takes times to adjust. Things will get better eventually. I know I was adjusting to staying at home DD's first year so that was a big factor too.
Challenges: I have PPD and PPA and I'm struggling to come up with a plan that will work this time around.
Plans for the week? It's already Wednesday... we have a play date with a friend we haven't seen in two weeks on Friday. I'm more excited than DS1.
How are YOU doing? I've been better. Anxiety and a teething baby have been kicking my ass.
Q's/Vent? DH is just in general annoying me. Dude has a PhD. It's not rocket science to keep the house moderately organized while caring for both kids (basically I come home to a god-awful mess on any night I go out for more than an hour).
Gtky- What is your favorite hobby? Do you want to learn any new hobbies? I'm taking a beading class on the 31st. And I've recently gotten back into Zumba. I also have a very long queue of books to read.
mrsmuq I'm sorry to hear about the PPD and PPA. I hope you can find what will work for you as soon as possible. Have you talked to your doctor? Please keep communication about it going on, whether here or with DH or your doctor.
