The kids well visit on Saturday were... hectic. And long. dd is great and did great. Just one thing kind of freaking us out- the ped realized they never had her 2 yr blood work on file (dd is THREE) so they got them from the lab and saw she tested positive for lead. Wtaf.
Ds got 2 shots, a heel prick blood work, and a platelet test in his arm that we have to bring him back today for the ped to check. He did surprisingly well. So now today with him will come dd to the ped for a finger prick to run labs for lead.
I'm refusing to Google because I don't want to panic, but jfc I'm panicking a little as it is because I have no idea what to expect right now.

Crazy fun weekend. We had fun on our mini vacation. Traveling with two kids is tough though. Sleeping in a hotel room with two kids is tough. But it was fun.
PT this morning. Then I might try to get to the park with the boys. 8 more days until school starts and 10 more days until the big evaluation.
We did have some issues with DS1 this weekend at the Tall ships event. It was super crowded and I think it overwhelmed him. I told him to get in the stroller and that calmed him. He's way I big for it though so I'm sure he looked silly. I'm finding I love wearing E on my back though
@betweenthelines that sucks. I feel like it can't be that bad if your doctor just sent you home for 2 days with that info and a "come back later" hope your follow up test comes back ok. (Did they give you a number or just say positive? Cause the number matters, positive is probably fairly common)

She didn't give me much info besides she tested positive and needs blood work done. It was late Saturday evening (birthday, and drinking) when I spoke with her and they are closed Sundays so today was the next soonest day to get her in. I didn't think to ask all the questions then over the phone.
@betweenthelines, the office drew the blood for the lead but never looked into the results at 2 years or they forgot to test until now?
Different ped. We moved and I guess labs never made it. Our old ped office went on the basis of no news is good news so I didn't think anything of it not hearing back for any results. But now I know that this office calls with good or bad news which I wasn't aware of.
Late morning cause baby has her 12 month well check today. Was going to run but it's down pouring instead so I'm being a lazy ass in bed until baby wakes up and it feels good.
Had a 3 day weekend. Think I've decided to get the Acura RDX. I had some hesitation wondering if I'd regret not getting more space, but i really don't want to drive a truck and we have H's highlander if we need the extra storage for some reason. Just need to go in and actually buy the thing. Bye bye money!
It's been a rough morning. C up half the night again, 1 too many glasses of wine, and then I went and spilled my coffee all over my lap whole I was driving to work. Yea Monday!!

Moving day is tomorrow so it's a busy day! Spent the weekend getting stuff done around the house and packing more. Our place is about 90% packed and, since our house is only like 10 minutes away, I can make small trips for other stuff until our lease is up at the end of September. Woo! Running to the grocery store with the kids this afternoon, then I may start making trips to the house tonight once DH gets home...if I'm not dead on my feet lol... So ready to be settled already, ahhh!
@betweenthelines good thoughts to you, keep us posted!
@betweenthelines Happy belated birthday to you! I'm sorry about the lead test. That is scary. Someone really messed up at the doctor's office to miss that. The good news is that you've moved since that test was done, so hopefully that has limited whatever environmental exposure she was getting. I hope her lead levels come back normal with today's test.
We woke up and opened presents this morning. W is having a blast. It will probably be a lazy day for w and I because H is tiling all day so we don't have any special plans. I can't believe he's gotten so big.

We had M's party yesterday! It was so much fun! We had about 30 people in total and a TON of food (I'm terrible at predicting how much food, and always err on the side of caution...tacos for weeks!! lol). Thanks ampaints for the taco bar suggestion, it was a huge hit! I went a touch overboard with the pinterest, but that's all for me, more than anyone else. I was exhausted last night and slept like a rock (until M woke at 2:30 that is! lol).
