Fearsy I wonder if insurance companies are involved - they know how to cover C-sections and risks.
It still sucks, though, for sure.
But if that's the case then it's total bullshit that insurance could be a driving force behind women losing their abilities to birth how they see fit.
It is, but unfortunately insurance companies have the upper hand in health care right now. They have changed the medical climate and call them "best practice guidelines" that basically force the physicians' hands. It's disgusting.
I had to wake up DS only 30 minutes into his nap so that we could leave for my OB appointment. He hasn't napped any more since then. It's looking like an early bedtime may be in order tonight, which is ok by me!
I hate short naps when they occur, but I much prefer early bed time when it actually happens. Feels like I have more time to relax, even though it's the same.
I just found out we're going to be finishing our basement in 3 weeks! While I'm super excited, I didn't think it'd actually happen until Oct/Nov/Dec. DH originally said, "please let the basement be my project", to which I said, "great!". Well, as I knew would happen, I can already tell it's going to be my baby, as all projects are. His idea of "taking care of a project" is hiring someone to handle A to Z. In this case, we're hiring a friend who has his on contracting business, but we are also helping to keep costs down. This means I have to learn how to get the right permits, research best flooring/insulating/back up sump pump options, etc. I asked H to at least call a plumber and electrician tomorrow to figure out logistics and he said, "the electrician comes from your family using him, why don't you call him?". I'm now sitting here, researching like a crazy person, and he's off playing computer games and complaining about needing to take 3 days off from work to help our friend.
This basement better be amazing when it's done! (I should note my H is wonderful, I've just always taken care of the details with projects/finances/anything adulting so the times I wish I didn't have to, he doesn't have any clue what to do).
