We had a pretty fun weekend just spending some quality family time. It was nice to not be as busy as usual.
I'm trying to get DD to nap since her new wake up time is precisely between 5:21 and 5:29 every.single.day, then we're going to a kiddie park with my sister and her 3 girls. I'm excited to see how DD likes all the rides since we're heading to Disney in just over 2 weeks!

I just finished a "typing test" for a job application I put in a few weeks ago- it would be a WFH position which would be amazing!
Yesterday I deep cleaned the bottom floor of our house like I haven't since I was nesting. It looks so nice and I'm excited for a couple of home improvement projects we're planning to start this weekend:) just a little paint and searching for a nice floor lamp. Starting my hunt online today!
My surgery today moved from a check in time of 6 am to noon at the hospital, so I'm watching time crawl by. It should be illegal to schedule surgeries for the afternoon - I am soooooo hungry and thirsty right now. And whiney, if you can't tell. Can't wait for tonight to be back home, have this be over, and have a massive sandwich in hand.
Thinking of you jillywilly! Eye exam for me and then trying to find tiny rubber boots for lo before heading to work. Fingers crossed my little man makes it the whole day at daycare today.

Thinking of you jillywilly Taking my dad back home today. I'll be sad he's gone, he's always a good time and he has been amazing with LO. He even cut his drinking and smoking way back. Also going to a raw dog food place and starting the pups on that today. Hopefully my one dog will start eating now!
Back into work today. Short week this week, I'm going to Tulsa for my dad's cousin's funeral. We were close as kids, and always called him "uncle", but haven't seen him much the last couple of years.
S is SO close to walking, but she will not do it yet. I had to hear it from DH's grandma that she SHOULD be walking by almost 14 months, and she's being too lazy and I hold her too much.
This is LO's last week in the infant room at daycare. He learned to walk just in time (they would have taken him either way but it's easier if he's walking).
Got woken up at 3 by heavy rain and wind. Then got woken up ten minutes later by a tornado warning on my phone. We are the western most city in my county so the threat had passed us by the time we got the warning. Not sure how I feel about that...
I am waiting for an oil change at the dealer. They have an "ice cream" freezer that is always stocked with popsicles (not ice cream ) so imagine my surprise today when I saw it was filled with klondike bars, including the Reese's ones. I have decided that 10am is not too early for an ice cream.

I got a lot of this from people. He was making progress so I let it slide off, but it was rather annoying. He finally started walking at 14.5 months. Next I'm sure they'll comment on talking...
It's a rainy Monday here, but I only have B at home so I feel motivated to do as much as I can before DD1 is back. We spent the weekend in the mountains and it was amazing. B was so good, and it was fun to see her little personality shine through... she's typically more of an observer when her sister is around. I really missed DD1, but we facetime every night and she is having sooo much fun on her little roadtrip with Grandma.
H is back to work most of the day today and tomorrow and officially back Wednesday.
I actually got a lot around the house accomplished this weekend and after sadly cleaning out the camper yesterday morning we went to the lake for a beach afternoon, I'm so glad we made the last minute plans because the weather was perfect!
DS passed out on the way there and for about 15 minutes DD just quietly played with his hair while he slept. It was so adorable.
Oh dmoney! We finally got around to trying the Old Bay seasoning on some shrimp this weekend! SO good! I feel like we are going to use it on everything now haha!

I'm having mixed feels about "sleep training" C to fall asleep without needing to be rocked. We started on Saturday night and had a 3 hour bedtime nightmare. She just kept talking to me and giving me kisses through her crib slats, ha. Last night was muuuuuch better (under 30min!). And she cracked me up because she's so damn stubborn she fell asleep sitting up, lol. vimeo.com/179771257
I miss the snuggles but FX this helps her napping improve!
My Monday really started off on a bad note when the dog puked 2 times last night..then puked another 2 times right as i was trying to walk out of the house this morning. Thankful DH was still home so he got to clean it up. But who knows what kind of a mess I am going to be coming home to today. We think he either ate something at the dog park yesterday that didn't sit with him or, he drank some of the rain water that has collected in DD's pool in the back yard. The only bright side to my day is that I get to go shoe shopping at lunch because my dress shoes have holes in them and I have tried to doctor them up enough!
Our weekend was super nice and relaxing. Went to my niece's soccer game Saturday morning, and then we had a family BBQ. We played volleyball and then some of us went late night bowling. I am a horrible bowler, I usually can't break 100, but one of the games I got 4 strikes in a row and bowled my best game at 140! Then we talked one of my brothers and his girlfriend into staying the night so we could go to breakfast in the morning. Love hanging out with them, it was really nice!
And yesterday we just worked on an Etsy order and I sold a bunch of G's clothes on Instagram. So it was fairly productive but also one of the most laid back weekends we've had in a while.
This week should be awesome. We're moving to a different office building at work so I am working from home Wednesday while my stuff gets moved, and Friday is my 9/80 day off!

What's her current nap situation?
She will fall asleep just fine as long as someone is holding her- still 2 naps a day. But as soon as you make the move to put her in the crib she jerks awake and starts crying and can't be soothed back down unless you hold her-__- If you hold her/snuggle her for naps she'll sleep for like 1.5hr each time...

MIL told me that BIL (her oldest) didn't walk til 18 months. Aside from being tone deaf, he's completely normal, and pretty athletic.

I still nurse DD to sleep for all sleep (one nap only most days, unless she's doing these ridiculously early wake ups). She'll only nap for up to 50 minutes at the most unless I sleep with her though-which is fine for most days, except when she's at the sitter and is then an exhausted mess.

turtle yes to ice cream! carrots get both, and keep one as a present for him to give his sister.
Monday started out with me losing my bra somewhere in our house, while packing up stuff for a day at the beach with the kids. I gave up looking for it and grabbed a different one. Then DD found it in her backpack.
My flight is booked. Spending 4 days in Oahu next month. SO EXCITED!
