I'm not sure why it isn't Friday yet, but whatever... Still trying to get in the groove of school + work + mom. It's not easy this week with DH out of town, but that's also kind of nice because I can just do school work at night. Downside is I have to do school work instead of indulging in trashy tv shows I don't get to watch when he's home. LO seemed to do fine yesterday, so the HFM isn't bothering him too much I guess. Poor fella is covered in the rash though. Happy Hump Day!

AW!! Airplanes are our favorite now, so daddy took him to a local airport last weekend. At the kiddie park where he probably got HFM (that I didn't want him to go to, for the record) And two consignment sale buys - kitchen and tv chair!
laceysbryan, glad he doesn't seem to be too bothered by the HFM! BabyStandish, OMG! I am not looking forward to LO figuring that out.
It's not even noon, but I feel like it should be like 4 p.m. already, while at the same time being painfully aware that I have not even billed one hour of time yet today. I should probably get on that.
Butttt I did find a 14-piece set of Rachael Ray cookware on zullily for like $150 today, and H gave me the green light to go ahead and buy it for myself for my birthday (next week). Yay!
So woke up still not feeling well and low grade fever. Made an appointment with our employee health at work for this afternoon. So we will see what the order. DH stopped by for lunch (perks of living 5 mins from work) LO lost it when he walked in the door. I hate feeling like this! I'm not a good patient at all!
laceysbryan doing school and mom and wife-ing altogether is super hard. You will find your groove! I totally miss trashy tv too- I think it was the hardest thing to give up when I went back to school this time!
BabyStandish that photo looks professional! What a funny kid! I can honestly say not one of my kids ever did that- not even my oldest boy, who used to climb on top of the fridge. You've got a creative one there!
dashook how are you feeling? And yay for new cookware! That's the BEST!
Being a lazy slug today. School starts for me on Monday and I DNW to go back yet!! I'm watching as much crappy tv as my life will allow and reading non-school related books like mad. Hope everyone is having a good day!
babyw15, ugh being sick is the WORST. Hope you feel better soon! kcrus, I'm feeling great, thanks for asking! I can't believe it's already time for back to school. In some ways it's been a long, hot summer, but in most other ways it has totally flown by.
laceysbryan glad lo seems to be feeling ok, despite the HFM. You'll totally find your groove, just give it time. You totally scored at the consignment shop! That chair looks so cozy. BabyStandish you've got a little daredevil on your hands! dashook how's the new job going? babyw15 hope the doc can work some magic and that you feel better soon. kcrus enjoy your you time! Reading anything good?
Lazy morning here. I was tired from being out late and lo was kinda cranky. The highlight of lo's morning was going out to watch the garbage truck go by.
He's napping now, but earlier he was fighting nap so hard. I went up there to check on him and he was rocking his stuffed bear back and forth saying "Cuckoo, cuckoo." He was totally singing the Cuckoo clock song we learned at story time, all on his own. Melted my heart.
Going well so far! In my first week I've billed around what I would have done in 2-3 days at my old job haha, but it's normal since I'm still getting acclimated to how our system works and the cases, etc.
I love that pic of Baby H mushing the play dough. Such concentration!
Sitting in the parking lot at the hospital waiting for my 3:30 appointment. I was hoping LO would fall asleep on the way and he did. Now I am going to have to carry him in my carrier and hope he stays asleep I'm not in the mood to have to deal with a crank tired toddler on public.
It turned into a rainy afternoon here. Dh's coworker shared some zucchini from her garden, so I decided to make zucchini bread. The house smells like cinnamon and now I'm wishing it was fall already.
We got our truck back! Now, it looks brand new on the driver's side, but the passenger's side still has a gash (another accident) and a paint scrape from a hit and run (not our fault) in a parking garage. And we have one really nice, bright headlight and one that's fuzzy and needs refinishing. We're hoping to hit another deer to even things out. lol My mom went with which means a Target run is usually happening. LO got a new book (can't have too many!) and some watercolors. It's hit a stormy patch here and it should be a good indoor activity. She's so active and wants to bounce around everywhere, but she does like colors. It should be fun. Folded laundry, and now I have to put it away. That's the part I hate the most, and it's probably the easiest lol. At least everything is folded.
Well, it's been an interesting week here. I fainted on Monday (in front of the kids, they were traumatized I think) I am now monitoring my blood sugars, which haven't gone above 90. Which means I have been a weak shaking mess and to top it all off we have visitors from New Mexico visiting (who DH invites without telling me until the week before they showed up, but that's a different issue) They also told us they will be staying until Sunday. I don't mind visitors but only for like 3 days. Anyway here we are at the Iowa state fair on Sunday.
raven those are the cutest! Hope you got them. nemomof2 sorry you've been having such a rough time with this pregnancy. Hope things get easier for you ASAP!
