Almost done with night 3 of 6 for my first week back at work. It's going ok but man am I tired. I have been able to take a few short naps at work which is great but then just sleep a few 1-2hr stretches during the day with nursing, baby screaming, and having so much to do since DH is away for work.

DS slept until 4am. So awesome. But of course I feel like I did yesterday when he was up a million times! I think the inconsistency gets to me more than anything. It definitely gets to my boobs.

It gets to me too. Depending on when he wakes up, sometimes I'm more tired with 1 wake up than I am with 3.

aaemommy, The exact same happens to me. My right side is almost useless! I'm sort of hoping that once I go back to work, since I'll be pumping more often than LO eats, that it will actually help a bit?!
DS2 and DS1 both are ALL sorts of adorable today. I can't handle it. I can't believe I go back to work in <2 weeks.
k3am, best wishes for a good first day back to work.

DS gave his teacher a huge smile when I handed him off at daycare this morning. It made me happy to see that he is excited to see her but a little sad that she gets those smiles during the day now instead of me. He is usually tired and fussy in the evenings so the only smiles and happy baby moments I get are usually in the AM.
Reason number 9999 I don't think I can have a 3rd child: The cost to fly the 4 of us to Brazil for x-mas is just shy of $5,000 round trip and that is for 2 adults, 1 child and 1 infant. The infant is "only" $170. In two years, we will be looking at $6500 for all four of us.... and that is w/o Economy Plus or Comfort! So...yeah. I think two is good.
Yesterday we got the letter from daycare with details on DS1's next class. He "graduates" to the next room September 6th, the same day I go back to work. A big week for the babycaps family. Next week is his "transition" week. I am going to REALLY miss one of his teachers, and so is he. They really have a great bond. The student:teacher ratio changes as well, and I think they are putting him in with slightly older kids (as in, he will be the youngest in the class).
I have to ask and make sure that in this room they still wear the harness on their walk to/from the park! Bc my child is NOT going to hold on to the little ring and walk down safely!
And....I'm excited bc now daycare will start potty training!! But my baby is growing up TOO FAST.
I just signed up to be a milk donor. If I've got a bit of an oversupply might as well use the excess to help premature babies.
This is great! I am donating mine too a girl i worked with she is about to have her third LO and has always struggled with supply. I love that I can help her out!
DS2 did pretty good in his crib last night. One extra wake up at 11pm and he was up a little bit earlier at 6am. I think he woke up early due to the curtains not being dark enough in there so I need to put up some black out stuff. Today we continue with turning off the swing after he falls asleep for nap time.

Yesterday DS2 and I went to Walmart and he woke up to eat in the middle of our trip so I wandered over to the furniture department where there was a comfy "moon" chair () set up and I sat there and nursed. It was awesome.

Water and I are not friends today. Motn I spilled 5 oz of water all over myself and my bed while attempting to mix formula. 30 minutes ago I was draining pasta for lunch and somehow poured it on my finger. I don't even know how either of those actually happened.
Lo is getting too heavy for my stretchy wrap and my ergo hurts my shoulders so I bought myself a beautiful Didymos woven wrap. H is picking it up on his way home from work and I'm so excited!!

I'm dropping L off at daycare today for about 4-5 hrs. We started doing this last week and decided to send her at least one day/week before I start work in early Oct.
MH told me to go do something nice for myself and said no chores and errands. I'm thinking gym but not sure what else to do with myself. I'm thinking outlet mall to try on clothes and see what I'm fitting into right now. Maybe that will be the motivation I need to get back in shape! I need to get some new clothes for work and hoping to not have to buy 2 sizes above my pre pregnancy size.
Uterine fibroids (removed by robotic myomectomy 11/14) and past removal of L ovary/tube d/t ovarian torsion (4/99). New diagnosis of endometriosis (5/15)
