teraiin I may be totally making this up but I think they can run a little warmer when going through a growth spurt? DD is always a bit warmer than H and I and she always slept more during a growth spurt. So could be that!
So because its nearing the weekend and I'm paranoid.

DS Is still hovering around mid 99 for temperature. He's eating fine, plenty of wet and dirty diapers. Seems more or less okay, however he slept 7 hours last night (not unheard of but unusual). Then he's been napping most of the day. I just had to wake him up to nurse because he had been napping for almost four hours. He sounds possibly a little hoarse but doesn't seem to be having issues with congestion.
H thinks he fine. I know if I call they will want me to bring him in to be safe. I don't want to bring him in if I'll be told to KOKO but I don't want to ignore something.
So tell this ftm what you'd do and help me relax.
As a person who has done this baby thing A LOT..... I can only tell you how I would deal.....
Wet diapers =👍🏼 99ish degree temp = not too worried, give 1.25 ml of Tylenol and if that brings temp down then 👍🏼. If temp doesn't respond to Tylenol or increases above 100.5..... Then call doc
Sleepy baby = not unheard of for teething or leaps.... Let them rest. Only become worried if lethargic and listless.....
If there aren't any other symptoms such as difficulty breathing, congested sinuses, excessive (and I mean, EXCESSIVE) amounts of drool with a spiking temp.... Then it truly wouldn't concern me.
But, with all that said, if you are concerned, call your pediatrician. You need to be comfortable, and your pediatrician would rather see you in their office or talk over the phone vs have you worried.....
Thanks for the birthday wishes! I am a little obsessive about my bday but this year is a weird mix of emotions. I will be 30 tomorrow. It feels strange. And I have a kid. I feel kind of grown up.

I find it so weird that I have kids, a husband, house, responsibilities, etc. I still feel like a big kid. I'll be 30 in December and my H was 30 in April. I like to tease him now about being an old man, I only have until my birthday to do so. Lol
Pissed and resentful at DH right now. At 4:30 the dog woke me up to go outside ...I know it's because MH dumped a bunch of leftover chicken in her bowl late at night when we were cleaning up after dinner. Then the baby woke up after the dog was whining and I had to shush her back to sleep.
Hubby sleeps in the guest room during the week so none of this affects him. And I've asked him before not to dump leftovers in her bowl, especially late at night. Pissed!
Could the dog sleep with DH since you are taking care of the baby? Let him deal with his own actions?
Thanks walkek85! We gutted the kitchen and living/dining room, removed a wall and expanded the kitchen into the dining room. It was a month of pure hell living at my in laws when ds1 was 7 months but I love it and I'm so glad we did it!

Yes I think in the future I'm going to insist that he take the dog for the night! Pretty annoying that it wasn't even the baby who woke me and it was the dog needing to go out(when she usually makes it through the night just fine).

I'd honestly call. Last spring A had a cough and didn't sound right to me. He was acting fine, low-grade temp, everyone told me I was being paranoid. I called and described what I was hearing and they wanted me to take him in. Turns out he had the onset of croup and could have been much worse if I had waited the weekend.
Ok ok, so I am WAY late to today's thread. teraiin, I would just monitor. Take him in if the fever goes up or if he is truly uncomfortable/increasingly fussy and what not, but I really think he's just teething!
mrssqueegy, I'm sorry about the teacher and so much going on for your DS1.
fishbulb, I did and it was a bit of hassle for not a lot of gain. The only reason I did it is because at the end, anything we didn't sell, was donated directly to a local "girls only high school" where all the students are pregnant or moms. Now I just donate directly to them unless it's a big item I can sell for great bucks and then I just do swap groups on facebook.
ellesea, that wrap is gorgeous!!!!! I love it! mrssqueegy, I can relate to awkwardness...our new nanny isn't living here but i'm still getting adjusted to this idea. Especially when I asked her to fold the laundry while I'm totally just willey nilley on my computer having fun...
@led, yay for sleep!!
Well, I hope I got everyone!!!
As for me, I kept DS1 home from school today. We went to visit a friend about 40 min away for a play date. The ride home was disastrous, DS2 cried non-stop for about 35minutes. But there ain't no pulling over bc honestly it would have made it worse! I would then have had TWO crying kids. By the time I got home, both were quiet! I felt really bad for DS2! But nanny was here when we got home, she had swept the floors and cleaned DS1's room! Then we organized a whole bunch of toys while both kids slept!
I also almost shit my pants this morning when I got an e-mail from my dad saying our tickets to Brazil were NOT going to work with our connecting domestic flight once in Sao Paulo. Thank you Air Cananda for letting me cancel our entire $5K reservation w/o ANY penalty AND for even telling me that I should check out the delta option. All this, happened while I was in the car on the way to friend's house. The Air Canada agent was AWESOME. I want to move to Canada!!! Ya'll are so nice!
THEN, we found out that the SECOND TV we bought to replace our broken TV has been LOST in the mail. Yeah...soooo we got a refund because "LOST" really means "stolen". At least Amazon was able to refund, no questions asked! And DH and DS1 went to Best Buy and we now have a new TV that is being set up right now! We don't even watch much TV, but DH and I enjoy a little bit every evening!
Well, off to help hubby set up new shiny TV!
Also, we ordered sushi for dinner. And I"m going to have some Soy sauce with it. This will be a test to see if soy really does mess up with DS2 or not! I'll be very conservative on my soy though...DNW a ton of gassy toots!
My BF came over to babysit for us tonight... I really needed a night out Ry has been really difficult this week. We went to dinner then Dh bought me two new pairs of shoes 😀 yayyyy

I went to a consignment sale last night and scored lots of good stuff - including clothes for both kids, some shoes and boots for DD, Halloween costumes for both kids, a jumper for DS, a bouncy seat/rocker for grandparents house and a mini high chair for grandparents. All for just under $200. I love good deals!

Also, I may have convinced DD that the costume for her brother is Pascal, the chameleon off of Tangled since I got her a Rapinzel costume for cheap. In reality, it's an alligator costume but she was thrilled to think that he would be her sidekick!

I have to vent for a second. H's cousin posted a picture of her son (7.5) in a towel with a second towel on his head. Cute pic I guess but in the comments she said it embarrassed him but she put it up because she thought it was cute. 😡

@led it's an Indio sole occidente. I'm actually surprised how thin it is, it'll definitely be comfortable to wear in the summer. I had it on for a bit while I was out with the boys this morning in 27c weather.
babycaps Air Canada has a pretty bad reputation here for not being very accommodating and toonnns of late or cancelled flights. I'm glad they were able to help you out!
mrssqueegy I'm down with a baby wearing pic thread on the private board!
Ds2 has been going through something, he's been much fussier than normal this week. We went out to dinner tonight and sat in the bar area with huge TVs and as soon as he saw them he started crying. I had to wear him and bounce him in the entrance for 15 minutes before I could sit down. And he isn't eating much again. He has 10oz over night but daytime is so hard to get much into him unless he is completely starving. I managed to get 17oz in but his bedtime bottle he had to eat AFTER he fell asleep because he was so overtired. I'm debating doing a dream feed, not to make him sleep longer but to sneak in a few more oz. It just goes to show that feeding babies/children is stressful anyway you do it. lol

babycaps, I feel weird about stuff like that too but it's the nanny's job. We pay them for it. And they get to give the kids back at the end of the day and sleep. So I will TCF while she folds the laundry. Haha
How did your PT go? Did I ask you this? I forget. Mommy brain.

Hi guys!!! Just checking in. E is a fuss and wants to nurse all night, but I am flying solo while DH picks up overtime. I need to eat dinner, shower, and get stuff for E to go to daycare tomorrow since I work across town at 7am. No sleep for me. How do I get a baby to daycare by 6am?!
