Starting this because I finally remembered one of mine!
I don't understand why people get all up in arms about little girls wanting to dress up as princesses or liking Disney princesses. I get that the older ones (Snow White, Cinderella, etc) aren't exactly icons of strong females, however the more current ones are pretty kick ass IMO. Plus, those older characters are traditional fairy tale characters, so vilifying the Disney versions confuses me. I've never seen this reaction to little boys wanting to be/liking superheroes, and that irritates me a little. Superheroes aren't always fantastic, wonderful people to look up to either. (Shhhh, don't tell DH I said that.)

I sometimes still fantasize about being a princess.

I agree. .I know I said I didn't want dd1 to be a princess for Halloween. That had nothing to do with because of what princesses symbolize or whatever. I just like being creative lol. I don't get all the anti princesses, barbies being girly girl etc etc. I liked all that stuff and I turned out ok.

Oh I get the creative part for sure! It's the judge-y type stuff that baffles me (and if I'm being honest, makes me raise an eyebrow).
I love Disney! But....I watched a documentary in one of my sociology classes called the Disney monopoly. Just very interesting.
Oohh...that would be super interesting. I'm an admitted Disney-holic, but I definitely don't have rose-colored glasses on when it comes to the company.

It was real eye opening. It was a class during my undergrad. I still remember the context.

I have zero ties to my high school. Don't keep in touch with high school friends, don't visit, don't go to reunions, don't follow sports, nada. That is hugely unusual around here.

On a kid related note, I still haven't tried solids again with C since she outright rejected them. Making dinner for yourself and 2 kids is hard, yo. She is showing all sorts of signs that I am ignoring hahaha.

I already started Christmas shopping.
I also have started Evie's first birthday plans. I am going with a Garden Flower theme and making these pretty paper flower decorations. I am also working on Isaac's 2nd for November. He asked for Choo Choo trains.

I have the intent to start Christmas shopping. Does that count?

DH and I are terrible at getting gifts for one another no matter the occasion (birthdays, anniversary, Christmas), and I'm at a complete loss as to what we'd get J for Christmas!

Ditto to that! I need to get lists from my parents and brother. Dad's birthday is Christmas Day, so also have that shopping to do. This year I absolutely can't wait until December 10th to do my shopping!

We got J a water table on Prime Day - not sure if it will be Christmas or birthday gift yet. Beyond that, no clue. He'll need clothes, so probably some of that.

I started Christmas shopping in June. But I've only been picking up things if they are on sale and I was already planning to buy them at some point so that makes it okay.
