J just figured out what the mute button does. So for the last hour she's been turning on and off the mute. Thankfully she's moved onto destroying the room. You know the norm.

My friends are coming over tonight to visit. We're going to get some pizza from Blaze.

This is my last weekend before heading back to work. I started printing stuff out yesterday & hopefully today I'll setup my students' homework folders. I just need to put real clothes on and get the folders from my outside storage unit (my car's trunk).

I'm trying to shake off my shittastic week. DH came home yesterday from a work trip and today he's doing a FF draft. We have friends that flew in fromseattle for it so all the wives are going over later this afternoon after it's over to drink and swim. I ran 3.5 miles this morning to get all the negative energy out. I haven't done that distance in a while and I'm excited about adding on since we are contemplating a half in April. Tomorrow is brunch and swimming and drinking with the same friends.

We're meeting friends for lunch at a pizza place and then going on a kids' boat ride with my parents and nieces. I'm not happy about the boat ride; I imagine LO will be all over the place and it won't be much fun, but my mom bought tickets without asking me so I'm kind of obligated to go. Meh.

SIL is on her way over.. we spent the morning tidying up the house and making groceries. Now fighting LO down for a nap (she's disastrously tired this morning for some reason) then time to pack a bag for our overnight and getting ready to go to a wedding!! Happy weekend

A and I have our third party of the week today. We went to a 5k race this morning to see the start and finish and now we're home for nap.

We went out to breakfast this morning and then took our first trip of the weekend to Home Depot. I got a haircut, and now am waiting for DS to wake from his nap eventually so we can go re-measure and measure more things at the house. Then tonight is date night! I've been looking forward to it all week!

I was supposed to be going to one of my few remaining high school friends' baby shower right about now, but woke up with chills, fever, body aches and nausea this morning. So instead of day drinking, I get to feel like crap and still get stuck taking care of a crabby DD. Cool.

It's going to be a co-sleeping nap day...

Today is a pretty lax day here. Just doing laundry, some light cleaning, and playing the with babe and pups. We've already gone for 3 walks today. J's new favorite thing is holding the dog leash on walks. Thankfully one of my dogs doesn't pull too much and is off leash trained so it doesn't matter if J drops her leash.

Probably my most productive Saturday in awhile, but that's just because I'm behind from being stuck in bed most of Wednesday.

Just got back from grocery shopping. H wanted to take J to the library, so I told him to go for it. It's rare for him to take J anywhere. I'm supposed to be cleaning the kitchen but...yeah. in a few minutes. I have to go into work for a couple hours this afternoon, then we will be heading to a nearby festival. My parents had gotten tickets, not realizing they would be out of town, so they gave them to us to use.

Tomorrow no plans yet, other than an Usborne party tomorrow night. If anyone wants an invite, let me know!

A was actually sleeping in this morning until H's effing alarm went off that he didn't even get up for. So we ate breakfast without him and I plan on taking a nap soon.
The vet just called with Boateys results and said they want him to get an X-ray of his bladder to check for stones maybe we'll get some answers though.

Rant: I don't give a damn how nice/cute/little/well-trained your dog is, when you are out in public, use a leash. There are plenty of people with dogs at the market, and I don't mind, but DNW your mutt wandering into my booth unattended while you chat 50 feet away.

Last night I had a pool board meeting. This morning DD tried on some hockey skates that a friend was getting rid of. My heart! After naps today will be closing day BBQ and swim at the pool!

Tomorrow (or tonight?) I'm hoping we can get our new curtains up! Then in the afternoon will head to the city, I need a new phone and hopefully can fit in a new school clothes trip for DS as he's starting preschool at the end of September ahh! Also on that board so I've been dealing with year end pool stuff and year beginning preschool stuff a lot the last few days!
So Sunday night will be the last pool meeting of the year.

That's all. Lol! A lot going on but like I said just some overlap between boards so at least the massive group texts and meetings should slow down after this week again.

Today's my birthday - wooohooo! My best friend, her husband, and their kids came in yesterday. Today we took her daughter (2) & DD shopping. All the kids are going to grandparents houses tonight.

We have a girls happy hour with some other ladies at 7pm and then we'll be meeting all the guys to go out dancing. I'm so looking forward to a night out!

It started raining. Both kids are napping. At 5 we are going to our friends house for beers and for H to set up one of their bikes. They have a little pet bunny that Ali loves to play with too.

She finally showed up at like 545! Giel, I said to SO this would have been tolerable if there was a bar, but the ceremony was in a garden, separate from reception.. no bar yet!

Oh no! That is the worst. This is how all of us felt on our 5 hour whale watching trip. 5 HOURS!! I don't know what I was thinking when we booked it. I hope the dizzy feeling passed and you could enjoy it.

We went to the zoo today! We had a good time, but it was so hot, and there wasn't much shade, so we didn't go all the way through. We ended up riding the train back to the entance/exit. O wasn't being fussy or anything, but she was getting red, even with the sunscreen. I think it was more that she was hot though, because she isn't red at all now.
