So, I told DH I need to sleep. That I can't function. Which was basically the kiss of death, and now I want to hurt him. Because I've been up every 2 hours to feed this kid and he hasn't been sleeping in between. And DH is being an ass and hasn't helped. And between the two of us, which one of us is on paternity leave and has the luxury of naps tomorrow?? Definitely not me.
My alarm goes off in 3 hours and 25 minutes. And I'll be up at least once more, I'm sure. At least.
Ugh k3am I'm sorry... I would probably wake him up and tell him to get up I'm going to bed. Dh is good with Ry but absolutely no help at night it frustrates me a lot esp when I have to work the next morning too
I am working full time this week filling in for our director cause she on vacation... Hopefully it goes well! But of course I'm laying in bed wide awake for no reason
Eating again. Alarm goes off in in 1 hour exactly.
When I was looking for DC for DD, there was a couple stories about terrible in home DCs getting shut down - one because they were grinding up sleeping pills and putting them in the bottles. I obviously would never do it, but sometimes I dream.

The babies were hellions last night. Gwen and Damian didn't want to fall asleep. We got them in bed only to have Laurel wakeup 30 minutes later and want to chatter and eat. Then she didn't want to sleep in her crib. Plus extra wake-ups at random times the other hours. I am thankful my husband took the day off and helped out during the night a lot.
Me: 30 DH: 29; Married: September, 2010 TTC #1: April 2013 Benched: May 2013 Cancer(DH) Off the Bench: September 2014 July 2015 ER low sperm count and motility(radiation side effect). FET September 1,2015. BFP 9/9/15.- 3 on the way.
I did a dream feed last night just to use up the rest of the formula that I had premade and lo didn't wake up to eat again until 6! Of course my children can't coordinate and ds1 was up for awhile around 3 and I could not get back to sleep after.
I'm home with a sick baby today. She has had a cold for a few days but now she has a low fever and what looks like viral pink eye. Hopefully she naps well. She woke up an hour before we had to get up and woke the whole house up too.
Sorry for the crappy sleep k3am 😤 birkmmm MH is also awesome except for at night when he is worthless. He's a super heavy sleeper and I'm paranoid he'll fall asleep holding DD. I very rarely ask him for help at with the baby night but then I end up suffering. The toddler is another story... If he wakes up, he is DH's problem!
Also sorry for crappy sleep nerdykitten but yay for a helpful DH! Boo to a sick baby fishbulb. I love daycare for so many reasons but I am dreading DDs first bug.

My SIL called me at 6 am when I didn't answer she texted me a few times before calling me again. Her texts said she was just bored so I knew it wasn't an emergency. I texted her I was still sleeping. She sent a million more texts apologizing and then asking what my plans were for today. Finally at 8 I answered and she wanted to know why I sounded crabby.
Um you've been waking me up since the crack of dawn? What's wrong with you???! 😡

Sorry for the crummy sleep everyone.
teraiin, who in their right mind calls someone at 6 am??!!! Whatever happened to phone etiquette?
DS was up at 5 am and DD was up at 6....apparently my kids don't realize that Monday's are the one day they can sleep a little later. No quiet time to get ready this morning for me.
Also, morning rush hour traffic = people who are assholes. I missed my exit to get to work because of jerks not letting me over and was fifteen minutes late for no good reason.
Also sorry for crappy sleep nerdykitten but yay for a helpful DH! Boo to a sick baby fishbulb . I love daycare for so many reasons but I am dreading DDs first bug.
I'm surprised it took her this long to get sick. J picked up hfmd in the first two days of daycare.
Wow ladies!!!! Hugs and coffee all around!!!! I am at vet with my feline daughter. They want to do a ton of blood work. I'm going to go the route of new diet first. #unpaidmatleave
Ds1 has his 3 yr well child visit in two hours. Last year he wouldn't even stand on the scale. I hope from coming to all my appointments he realizes that it's nothing to be scared of.
I've got some tendonitis in my right elbow and I'm almost positive it's from lugging around the baby bucket. Time to start leaving the car seat in the car.
The problem is two fold.. (1) He doesn't function well on no sleep. Never has, even before kids. A bad night sleep and he is legit puking. (2) DS sleeps in a cosleeper on my side of the bed. He's quiet enough that I can roll over, insert paci, and he'll settle, and DH doesn't even notice.
I would kick him out into his own room, but that would basically mean me having to get out of bed every 2-3 hours, potentially waking DD, etc. I can't win.
What do you do with your babies all day? I find myself really struggling to entertain her enough to keep her from crying to be held all day. Do I need more things? I've been thinking about getting a chair of some sort for her because she likes to sit up, but I don't know. Help?

❤️❤️❤️❤️ You asked right?! This is my fave topic in the world, so please, shut me up if I've said too much. No, you probably don't need more things. Start with what R can do and build off it. Right now Baby I can unintentionally flail and hit things and he is working on realizing he can do it on purpose. So we put him in an environment where he can see the repeated action over and over. We build block towers and he knocks them down, we hand mobiles in reach and he bats at them, we prop up books and he knocks them down. Next, lately he grabs at the clothes on his chest to feel the embroidery or zipper or whatever so I show him an item (spoon, fuzzy fabric, block, rattle, whatever) then put it on his chest and he grabs it, shakes it around, then drops it so I show and put a new item on his chest. We sing songs, chant rhythms on one syllable (bah, doo, tah) and he watches my lips move, baby massage, walks, sit under a tree, listen to Spotify and classic FM apps, read books, anything sensory like if I am eating I let him smell my food or I have him hold a variety of objects to feel wood, metal, fabric, etc., outside materials are good too (a blade of grass, leaf, acorn, stick), we look in the mirror together. We do one activity for about 20 minutes or so. Does that give ideas? I have more. I could go on forever. I'm obsessed. ❤️ Thanks for letting me word vomit. Done now.

I am thinking the same thing. DD is 15 lbs now and it's getting way to heavy for me to comfortable lift in and out of the car.

Anecdotal, I know....but Lucci was waking up every 2-3hours. For the past three nights we have removed ourselves from the room and he's down to 3am and 6am. Maybe worth a try for a few nights? I was skeptical, but w/o the food source right there, he's sleeping WAY better!
She's her normal self....puking daily! But now has some runny poops! And needed rabies shot. She's also now getting some de-worming. They want to do a texas GI lab profile on her but $$$ and I have spent A LOT of money this month, the one month in which I am not getting paid and our nanny started and such. So have to wait until next month or at least talk to husband first!

We do floor time where I hold up two toys or books and let her chose what to play with (working on choices) and then she plays with said toy. She also likes to roll around a lot. We sing songs and dance around together.
I also couldn't live without my seat (https://www.summerinfant.com/deluxesuperseatislandgiggles). She enjoys sitting there and playing with toys. I also sit her there to read to her. She also has the Jumperoo now as of yesterday to play in. She likes it.
Other things we do: I sit her in the chair and she watches me cook while holding a spoon and/or measuring cup. We splash in the bath tub.
We sit in front of a mirror and chat so she can stare at herself.
We also go somewhere daily (Sams or Target mainly) so she can see other places and I can get out of the house.
This is an awesome question! I'm excited to see other responses and get new ideas.
