Called the pedi because at 10m, this is the first for either baby! They've had colds, teething, tummy aches, etc. but never spiked a fever. Darn it I really wanted to get some shopping done.

AW I hope she feels better!
Tylenol didn't help but Motrin brought it down to 100 from 102.2. She's pretty unfazed, mostly just annoyed that I keep sticking a thermometer up her butt.
Oh get better little one schmella! Glad it's not really fazing her though!
Baby boy had a very slight one too but after checking him everyday for almost 2 weeks I have discovered he just seems to get slightly warmer everyday at some point. He was always under 100 and the dr said not to worry until its that or over. (he is just a month old) it kept us from shopping too. I was sad. It was the day to be our first big outing.

The hard part for me is knowing that low temps run in my family, so I'm never sure how serious a fever is. For me as a kid, 99.5 meant I was REALLY sick. So 102 was crazy to me!

We went to cos.tco today and put B and L in different carts (DS1 wanted to sit with B). We had at least 5 people comment on the fact they are twins and every one of them assumed they were both boys. B looks like a girl, she was wearing a little red tank top onesie that said America's cutie. Girl is wearing bows from now on when we leave the house.

Everyone always assumes L is a boy when we go out without her headband. It's so annoying!

I could put them in onesies with "Boy" and "Girl" on them and people would still reverse them. A is just a really pretty boy, and W is so rough n tumble that people just can't figure it out!
FWIW, they wear onesies around the house but I usually put W in a dress when we go out (it slows her down and skirts are so much fun to play with apparently) and people still think she's a boy
schmella and @ pbandj714 so apparently people just don't pay attention when commenting on children.
Apparently, when I was little, my mom had me dressed in head to toe pink and someone still commented on how I was such a cute boy. She really struggled for a response to that one.

Seriously?! That is terrible! And why do people always assume boy? Not every baby is a boy. They never shoot out with "aww 2 girls."

My mom got the same comments when I was a baby. She thinks because I was a baldy. Apparently not even pink will sway people.
This conversation about all babies must be boys is hilarious this morning.
FWIW, I get it often too.
@feegan I refer to R as "the big one" and G as "the little one" sometimes. I guess that'll have to change come February. I don't know what I'll call them then. Maybe their names?

When I'm talking to MH about the kids I'll say the big one (DS1), the middle one (DD), and the small one (DS2). Or I'll group them by the big ones or the small ones in sequential order or the boys and the girl. I don't think I use their names in conversation with MH often.
nomnom, I'd probably pair them. The big ones, and the babies. My 2.5 year old is still "the baby". Depending on who was involved, maybe the girls and the boys. I can definitely see myself saying something like the middle two did x today and the little one did y. Or the littlest one did x to the biggest one. You'd have to start with the assumption that if you are referring to your kids with some sort of ordering words that they are placed in birth order. 1st set of Baby A, Baby B and then 2nd set of Baby A Baby B.
anakah We may indeed have to stick with birth order, no matter how far apart the births were.
I feel so brain dead that I can't even come up with that on my own.
Honestly, half the reason I dont' use names often is because I mix them all up. I will literally be staring at one child and call them their siblings name.
