I have a ton of errands to do today so I can be in full-on project mode this weekend. I need to get back on schedule with Halloween and birthday projects, but now the sofa reupholstering project has jumped from the "want to do" list to the "must do" list then quickly to the "urgent" list as a seam burst (upon inspection, a few others are ticking time bombs to do the same).
I've got a nasty hacking cough. Hoping I can enjoy myself this weekend. I'm co-hosting my BFFs bachelorette party and bridal shower. I also have to get my bridesmaid dress fitted, which I'm not really looking forward to. I was hoping to have slimmed down a bit more by now. I am excited to see it though, we weren't able to try on the right color in the shop. Anyway, should be fun overall!
I'm sorry lildis . Your DD is pretty young right? I don't think DS (4.5) really understands death yet.
She is just 4. She talks about people having "died" but definitely doesn't understand it.
Yeah. Does she see grandma often? Will she wonder why you guys are sad? I've had to try to explain a recent death in the family to DS just because he's noticed how upset I've been. I just kept it simple, "I'm sad because my cousin died, which means he's gone forever and I miss him." IDK if that's the "right" way to do it but he seemed to get why I was so sad.
Feel better, the handful of you under the weather. My tablet was prompting me to type "sea" instead of "weather," so if anyone is under the sea, I hope you feel better too. Also, I now want soup.
I had my nephews again today and I'm beat. They're good kids but they're ACTIVE. Helps the OAD status for sure! DD put herself to bed tonight after her bath, she asked for her water and said night and got into bed!
Can you just get new frames to pop the lenses in, or are the lenses broken too?
the arms are completely broken off. When walmart's vision center is open (our place is closed on weekends), we're gonna see if they can either try to fix it or see if they have frames that would work with his lenses. FX! The rip you hair part about it is he confessed he was holding them & effing around stretching it & they snapped. Dude!

His frames were a lost cause but they were able to find a pair that most resembled his shape & trimmed his lenses in a new frame within an hour. I think I may like these new ones even better. He was very excited about the red in his old ones but these seem to fit better. Still planning on calling our place Tuesday & asking about a replacement set. Doubt it'll be free though but we'll see what they say.
