Appropriately enough, DS found a U of M football in his room yesterday and has been carrying it around non-stop. My dad is getting a huge kick out of this.
I'm on day 2 of a 4 day weekend! I thought that Hurricane/Tropical Storm Hermine was going to hit our area with at least rain but it looks like we're too far west. The humidity is starting to drop and it will only be in the upper 70s today. I have to mow the grass and that's about it. Maybe I can convince H to go to the pool as a family. We might have friends over tonight? Otherwise, zero plans this weekend.
Looking forward to relaxation. I have been staying at school until 5 every day and then grading when LO goes to bed. I am already burnt out and we've only had a few days of school. Family party today then nothing for two days.
Trying to get laundry done and start packing while solo parenting. Working really well!
In reality, I'm soaking up the snuggles. I don't know how I'm going to do 2 weeks away from these two. Also trying to get S to walk for real. I know I'm going to miss her first steps!!
We're going to the gym today and working out together for the first time. Should be interesting! We're going to possibly go swimming there afterwards and then taking advantage of the four 40% coupons I have for Barnes & Noble.

This morning LBB has a soccer game and BH has swim lessons. Then this afternoon we're going to a sand sculpture festival. It's going to be a fun but busy day.
I just realized that my team is playing today too. I'm sure they're going to get spanked as they have been since they moved to the bowl division three years ago. I'm actually worried the school might get rid of the football team altogether, which would basically mean the end of the marching band too.
@jemomma, we felt it here too. My family in OK got quite a wake up. Apparently my cousin was running around the house freaking out (she's 14) and her parents couldn't help but laugh at her

Of course BH fell asleep in the car on the way to the soccer game. So now I will probably just sit in the car with him until it's time to drive him to swimming.
Do we have any Oklahoma ladies here? I can't remember. If we do I hope everyone is safe and no damage to your homes! We felt that quake all the way in KS. What a way to wake up!
Also I have looked this thread title at least 5 times today and avoided it because I thought it was about football, lol. Just now read that it was also randoms
We felt it here in SEK. I was actually coming here to ask you if you guys felt it. It woke H and I up, but O slept through it. The dogs were a little rattled by it.

No plans for us this weekend besides finishing up outside chores. We're building an outhouse, I guess that's random It's starting to get cold. I've got A some mittens but he keeps pulling them off bc he can't pick things up, so I need to see if I can find him some little gloves until it gets really cold.
We are just off to my ILs for the weekend! Hanging out and watching (Canadian) football tomorrow and either home tomorrow night or Monday, we'll see what we feel like. Kind of want a day at home together but also nice to have some time there since we haven't been in awhile.

I'm cooking a roast with red potatoes and carrots for supper, but right now I'm just sitting here snacking on the baby carrots with hummus soooo I better stop soon before there's none left for cooking!

You could also see if you can locate some fingerless gloves. They're like mittens without the top. My mom knit pairs for the boys. I know little fingers and gloves can be tough.

I didn't think we had any damage from our quake this morning, but it looks like a couple of the tiles on my kitchen island have fallen off some of our floor boards are also looking a little wonky.
You should be used to the quakes but I'm sure they don't have the same building requirements in KC

Juliet slept in her crib for most of the night!!!!!!! She is currently in my bed. We were going to let her cry but she did exactly what I thought she would. There is an electrical socket where she can reach and I forgot to put the new plate over it(she can pull out the covers) because I wasn't actually planning on putting her down in her crib last night. So first thing I'm doing when we wake up is that! I'm so happy right now!! And I got the bed all to myself for most of the night since SO is sleeping on the couch because of his wisdom teeth thing!

LBB's halloween costume came last night. So ever since then I've had a lion cub roaming around my house.
BH and I are heading out of town for the day to visit a friend and her new baby. DH and LBB are staying home and cleaning the house. Tonight I'm heading out for drinks and dinner with a friend while the boys stay home.
