My LO does this also. She will literally shove everything that's on her tray in her mouth. So I have to put pieces of food / puffs on one at at time. And often when I do that she will scream and point at whatever I have in my hand with a full mouth. Babies are cray.
Yeah that's our life too. I have to remind him he's got food in his hand or his face already while he's pointing at the container.
Bro. YOU GOT SOME ALREADY.
Henry does this too. It's like if he doesn't eat it all right this second, I'm going to take it away from him and he's going to starve or something.
Yes! It's the same way she screams and cries as I'm preparing her food (or my food). I swear it's the only time she will not eat puffs when I try to use them to distract her as I finish making her food. She will dramatically throw them off her tray while screaming and pointing at whatever I'm making. Calm down child!
heyitsmamac I caught up on yesterday's FB and just want to say I hope your H buys you flowers today!
He apologized quite a bit this morning. He blamed it on the fact that he didn't eat dinner because he swears that he didn't drink more than usual (doubtful.)
But what pisses me off is that I cooked dinner. He sat there and watched Henry eat and then helped me give him a bath and put him down and then he went out.
Ass...I cooked you dinner. You didn't eat it. You could have eaten that or eaten at the bar. You puked because you drank too much and I'm going to throat punch you.
pearsforpoops, I normally just cut a slice of bread into 3rds, so it is easy for him to pick up. LO does a pretty good job of taking small enough bites though.
Hopefully we'll get there eventually!
Based on the fact that I looked over last night and my kid had 3 entire crunchies shoved in his mouth like a damn chipmunk, I don't think we're to that point quite yet lol
DS1 used to do this as a baby so we had to limit what was in front of him at one time. At 3.5 years old,he still does this sometimes when he's really excited about whatever it is he's eating.

I'm just going to talk to myself until people show up.
What do you guys think I should do about daycare for H when little sis is born? Do I keep him at home with us for the whole maternity leave so he can adjust? Do I send him part time so he still gets his socialization and can keep his routine? Do I keep him full time so he can really keep his routine? I don't know what to do. I'm leaning towards part time, but I feel like a crappy mom wanting to send my kid to daycare 3 days a week while I'm sitting at home.
What would you do?
Oh no, I would not feel guilty sending him. If we have a second I fully intend on continuing to send C to daycare. He loves it there and I wouldn't want to mess with his routine. His life will be changing so much, why mess with the things that don't have to change you know?
Some improvements on the eating front! C had no problem with some rolls last night and was able to eat mum mums without me breaking it up. I'm trying blueberries or carrots tonight

Yay!! Great news! Go C!
It's so awesome to see them improve. I never thought I'd be so excited to see my kid eat a tiny piece of food lol

----Blueberries had issues for us...I would try carrots first. Or maybe zuccini. Something super soft and mushable

What about peaches; have you tried them? I'm just trying to think of something else that doesn't have much texture and are easy to chew.
That's awesome normadix ! I'm sure you have tried / heard a bunch of suggestions but have you tried scrambled eggs with him? For some reason that was the first thing that DD could eat without gagging. Maybe bc she could grab a big chunk and would only actually get a few small crumbles in her mouth.

We would squish the blueberries a little first so the skin was broken before giving them to LO.

Agreed - my LO still gags on the skin of blueberries.
mrsp, Char is so stinkin cute! I'm ready for her to be Henry's girlfriend.
**Stuck in a box**
Yes! We also need to meet up one of these days when the weather gets warmer. Henry needs to teach Char how to eat her veggies. I love that he eats them so well. She wants nothing to do with veggies, unless they're the Plum food pouches.

Oh yeah cbowl Haden LOVES the Gerber raviolis. He just conquered pasta and they are his new favorite.
Also EatsRitz I'm fairly certain (I haven't looked it up lately or anything) that jealousy requires a 3rd party that you fear taking something of yours (or diminishing your experience). So like I'd be jealous of my H's relationship with another female. Envy only requires 2 parties so just when I want something someone else has I'm envious.
