I'm chugging coffee before K wakes up. Not sure what we'll be doing today, but K LOVED the aquarium yesterday. Especially the Sharks, go figure. She kept pointing as they swam by and yelling "Ooooooo." It was funny. We also got to walk the entire boardwalk before it got too busy. I'm hoping for a zoo day or maybe a trip to liberty state park. I really want to take advantage of MHs vacation.
GL to all M15 teachers and kids on their first day of school! Bonus points for cute 1st day pics
P.S. Anyone else's school districts start the week before Labor Day? It's so dumb! We always started the week before Labor Day and then had a 4-day weekend. So weird.
malvo yup my area started Aug 22. Md some started then some the Wednesday and others theb29th. Hogan just signed saying next year school will start after labor day and has to be done by June 15.
Morning. I was mostly lurking all weekend, but I'm back! Glad it's a short week.
A has had some sort of cold since Friday. She's just full of snot and is being a total mouth breather. Poor girl. No other symptoms though and perfectly happy for the most part.

OK, I know most of our kids are years away from starting school, but a couple things...
1. Make sure your child knows their name. First and last. Their REAL name, not whatever nickname you insist on calling your child. No, your name is not "baby" and I will not call you that.
2. Make sure you child knows their address, but also write it down and put it in their book bag, especially if you bring them to school and they will be riding the bus home. My job right now is to figure out what bus all these rascals should be on. NOT FUN because none of them know their address, nor do I have anything that says where they live because we are still enrolling kids.
3. Be on time. How you gonna bring your kid to school an hour late on the first day?
4. Put on a bra to bring your kid to school on the first day. Required if you are over a B cup. And if you absolutely cannot wear a bra, make sure your shirt is not white.
5. Wear shoes. Not house shoes, real shoes.
I'm sure I will have more to add to the list as the day progresses.
Yeah, we have already been back to school in our area, so I'm like, WUT? First day of school again? Hahah! Good luck to all the teachers & kiddos! :-)
Weekend was good, I like long weekends. Lots of time outside yesterday! It was beautiful weather. Getting hot again, though, this week. UGHGHHGHGH. GO AWAY, SUMMER.
graciest719 haha I hope your day gets better. The 1st week of school my idiot neighbor when it was her turn to get their daughter to school she was late. We are not sure why the kids is back she was gone for a year because her parents are that bad.

graciest719 Remember the story of SO's cousin posting every detail of her kid's first day of school? The crazy has continued. She ranted about her son's school because she called THREE TIMES to check on him and how dare the teacher ask her to stop. Her son goes by Junior because he shares a name with his father. The teacher wasn't having it and SO's cousin ranted about that as well. She's a real peach.
Okay. One more thing. I'm a post a whore. I have a dentist appointment at 2. I'm terrified. I know I have a cavity and I need my sealing redone. It doesn't matter how often I floss, how much I mouthwash, the amount of brushing I do. I don't drink soda. But when I'm pregnant, my teeth go to hell. I also have horrible dental genetics to begin with. Sooooo. I'm not looking forward to this.

back to work for me today after two weeks home with D. I have shut my office door and somehow need to find a do not disturb sign.I have an audit due on the 20th and I would love to get it done before our weekend getaway this Friday.
Declan cried at daycare this morning I think he just gets used to doing somethings and then gets upset when it changes again. But I also know that approx 2 mins after I leave he runs around like a mad man in a toy store.
