C is almost 100% back to normal. H is home. I have a girls night scheduled for Thursday and we are dinning out at an expensive place but it's magical dining month so it's a 3 course meal for $33. I am overly excited and counting down. Dinner out with no kids, yes please!!
I am tapping away at keyboard in N's room/office while DH is parenting in the living room. I don't want to go out there, DH is taking off today and I feel like he should put his time in now.

It rained all night and we have water in our basement. What kind of fuckery is that? DH is at the office today then he's heading to Menards to get some asphalt sealer...we think we know what the issue is. I hope we're right because what the heck else do you do for water in your basement?! If this doesn't work I guess we'll have to call someone. Owning a home is annoying as fuck sometimes.

So my reward for making it through my first week back to work was M sleeping through the night!!! 6:30-6! You rock little man! He also seems to be weaning himself off of bottles. The last three nights he has refused his bedtime bottle, only wanting his soother and books before bed. I don't want to say it too loudly, but we might be done with bottles!
Not much else going on today. Have to clean and think about make ahead meals or attempting to meal plan. It's to tricky to figure it out during the week. DH has offered to be responsible for meals one night, but in all honesty I think it will be more hassle. Unless we have breakfast for supper once a week, I honestly don't think he can do it! I told him he can be responsible for making lunches if he wants to help out. Tomorrow we are heading to a Blue Jays game/bus trip. So it should be fun

tmclawchick, I feel your pain on water in the basement. Sucks big time. If you find out where it is coming in, you can fix it, but sometimes its a trick to find out where. GL.

I'm a little annoyed because there are 3 puddles in the basement, yet the seller didn't disclose it on the disclosure sheet. This is not the first time we've seen water in the basement; it seems to happen after heavy rains. How was she not aware of this? I need to figure out what recourse we have...

That does definitely suck, especially if it's consistent. GL seeking recourse. Similar thing, when my dad bought his condo a couple of years ago it came with appliances, but they weren't pulled in because there was no one living in it when we toured it. I asked about whether they worked. Lawyer said he had the weekend to check when he took possession, turned out the dishwasher did not work and somethings were broken on the stove. When he went back to get them fixed or reimbursed, he was not able to get anything. I can't remember why, but it was frustrating.
