When DH and I both still worked we would have this probably once a week. We'd just make a huge batch of broth and freeze it in dinner portions and add the veggies in after work. We were lazy. Lol
mmm, I love hot & sour soup, but never thought to make it! Yum! I'll have to try it as well!
Sooo... the nurse just called with the results. All healthy, and she told me the gender! I was about to call DH, but now I'm thinking I should surprise him after work. Any ideas for something I could easily pick up on my way home? I'm in Dallas, so access to most stores, etc.

Maybe a bakery could make you guys a few cupcakes that have a blue or pink filling? Yellow or white icing on the outside?
So, I hate changing diapers from the side and never used a changing table and just did it on the floor. Well no more! I found a corner changing table and you can change baby from the front! My first must have.

Thanks for the ideas ladies. I'm not sure if a bakery could do the cupcakes with the filling for tonight. But maybe they could ice a cookie or something... hrm.
And I do like the onesie idea too! Now I just remembered I was planning on putting DD in her Big Sister shirt and framing the last ultrasound picture in a "baby boy/girl" frame. Maybe I could pick that up and give it to DH. Gah. Going from no ideas to to many. Now to decide!
In lunch and this new frozen meal I bought takes nine minutes to cook! It smells so good I can hardly wait.
Well... Was it as good as it smelled? If so, please tell us about this marvelous meal!
It was so good! They were on sale and I didn't even read much about them but they are very natural (the ingredients list is straight-up stuff you'd have in your kitchen) and it's vacuum sealed. If they continue to be reasonably priced they would be my first choice every time.
@amc25, that's a good point, knowledge usually does help with the anxiety!
mikaela20, I liked nikis diapers, but also just used Amazon for ordering diapers/covers. We liked flip diaper covers for OS and rumparooz newborn covers, but also used thirsties and blueberry and liked them too.
I emailed my OB re: the debilitating headaches I've been getting. They emailed me back in record time to tell me they don't treat migraines. Well, obviously. I'm just trying to figure out what the safest of the prescription RX's are. I emailed my PCP. She'll probably say I need to see a neurologist or something. At which point, I will give up and just continue to miss work for these.

I don't know what part of town you're in but Bisous Bisous is an amazing French bakery in the Oak Lawn area and they're amazing about working on last minute things if you want to do some sort of pink or blue pastry
ETA- I just remembered it's Monday so I think they're closed, sorry!
Ah, you had me all excited there.. They've been on my list of places to try!

Back from appointment! Heard the heartbeat - 165 bpm! And all is well so far. So happy and relieved!
But of course, I came away worrying about something else. The blood pressure was a little high. I'm hoping it was just because I had an insanely busy (and stressful) morning at work and was a ball of nerves for the appointment. I know I definitely need to get more active and that should help too. But I'm still in that "I feel like shit" stage so I haven't done much walking or anything else! Fx that I start feeling better soon so I can get a bit more active! And fx that maybe that was just a fluke!

I have peed at least six times in the past three hours. And I'm incredibly nauseous. Blah. I thought i was supposed to feel so much better at 12 weeks
I didn't have nausea, but fatigue in both of my pregnancies started to taper off around 11-12 weeks. I'd say I feel mostly normal now at 14 weeks - hopefully you're at the beginning of the end of the first tri yuck!
