I started telling a few people about the baby yesterday, which was fun. I'm kind of dreading being back at work today bc I've been in the middle of some drama, but I'm hoping it's settled down by now.
ugaqueencity our dog also comes in the bed at 7 am everyday. He's basically an alarm clock.

Hi ladies!
I finally have my next appt with the OB today! I'm anxious/nervous/excited. It's not until 3:15pm this afternoon but luckily, I have an insanely busy morning at work to keep me occupied.
I start endocrine/female reproduction today and I am excited because I find it interesting and might want to go into OB/GYN. Not sure how I will like learning all the things that can go wrong though :/
I'm taking my dogs to get detailed here soon. They've never gone to the groomer, so it should be interesting.
Then I'm finishing cleaning, so I can judge how well this groomer blows out their coats, by judging the amount of hair around the house tomorrow morning.

I am waiting on my OB's office to call back. The bleeding never picked up and neither did the cramping pain, but the brown spotting and mild cramps remained pretty consistent throughout the weekend. I've already talked to the nurse once and I'm hoping since the bleeding wasn't a result of having sex that they'll want me to come in.
After several phone calls to annoy the building inspector (who said it would take 1 week to get my building permit yet we're going on 2 weeks and I kept getting "we're working on it" as an answer...we're finishing a basement, not building an addition, geesh), my building permit is ready to pick up! So renovations start tomorrow! I asked my H to just promise we don't get divorced this week (jokes, of course), b/c I know this will be a week from hell dealing with his frustration. But hopefully this time next week we will have an almost finished basement!
@justinslovo is Holisitc Parent your go- to for diaper supplies? Im looking for decently priced, good covers. I think I will have to buy them online to get a good price. I just need somewhere to start- I am liking the price of Thirties but wasn't sure if they are good or not.
So my coworkers know now. After bringing cupcakes and sending an email, the beans have been spilled. Just an hour of the awkward congratulatory conversations and now everything is back to normal. Feels great to just let it out!
Just finished my one year sub application, for the other school I want to sub at, and wouldn't you know what came in the mail today.
My fingerprints, they came back because they weren't clear enough. Now I have to drive all the friggin way back into town and pay another 6 bucks to have them done for the third time.

I've been taking my time going back to work after lunch in case my OBs office called but still no call. She was in surgery when the nurse called me back at 10:15 so hopefully I hear something soon.

I've found www.nickisdiapers.com has a good very affordable cover. Like specifically nicki's brand.

mikaela20 I love our Thirsties covers! It's basically the only kind we use. I got mine through Green Mountain Diapers, which I think I picked at random after feeling overwhelmed by choices.
BIL and stbSIL visited this weekend. If they were a lot younger than us I could understand how they were while they were here, but BIL is exactly my age and his fiancee is actually older than him. I just feel taken advantage of...they drank our booze and ate our food and took our metro cards and borrowed our car, and they couldn't even be bothered to help clear the table (let along offer to do the dishes) after dinner the last two nights, or refill the gas tank. I don't know if it bothered DH much - we haven't talked since they left. But I'm honestly glad they're gone and I'm not looking forward to when they return next month.
@priss08, sorry about the strep throat. Hope you get to feeling better soon. Popsicles and pudding FTW!
moutonrouge, seriously?!? Ungrateful houseguests are the worst.
mikaela20, I found it such a relief to tell. I don't like keeping things hidden like that. Glad it all went well!
erinshelley21, hope you hear back from them soon. But I am glad to hear things have eased up a bit.
I called my OB this morning. I had blood drawn 2 Monday's ago for genetic testing and have not heard a thing. Hoping the nurse calls back soon. This is very unlike them.
