Week/Team/Fruit: 28/Pink/tropical coconut
Symptoms: heartburn. Omg the heartburn. I have been waking myself up in the middle of the night when so much acid has come up, it's awful. Also, glad to see the peeing constantly has returned, along with the pelvic pressure.
Appointments this week: OB appointment and GD on Friday. It's my first 3rd tri one!
Rants/Raves/Questions:
GTKY: I'm most surprised by how fast this pregnancy has gone and how unprepared I am at this point. Least favorite part is all the aches and pains. Not sure if I forgot about them or if they seem worse since its been 5 years since I was pregnant, but it sucks. Favorite part is the kicks, I love love love the baby kicks and rolls and will miss that.
Week/Team/Fruit: 25w3d/pink/napa cabbage Symptoms: Lots of movement lately. She was going crazy last night until I called DH over to feel. It's starting to get harder to bend over for things.
Appointments this week: None until October Rants/Raves/Questions:I can't tell what baby is doing or how she is oriented. She's still giving me a lot of kicks in the cervix but then sometimes she's higher up. When do they flip around or start kicking in the upper parts of the belly?
GTKY: Many of us are nearing the 2/3 mark of this pregnancy (eek!). What has surprised you most about this pregnancy? What has been your least favorite part? (so far) What is your favorite part? Tomorrow is 100 days! I can't believe it! So far I'm suprised at how generally easy it has been. I had some MS, but mostly at home in the evening and I've gotten my stomach issues under control. I feel like it's flying by, but I know that feeling is going to go away soon. Least favorite has been the MS and then my stomach problems. I deal enough with that not pregnant, dealing with it pregnant has been really yucky. But I think I've gotten it under control...waiting for the next shoe to drop.

Week/Team/Fruit: 25w1d/Boy/Cauliflower
Symptoms: Constipation..the hip and pelvis ligaments are destroying me. I am getting up and barely able to move at work. I might go for a walk at lunch to try and loosen up my hips..it hurts a lot.
Appointments this week: No Appt till next week...lovely Glucose.
Rants/Raves/Questions: My belly button...okay this thing just shows up through my shirts, dresses anything. I mean its not like I can Band-Aid it down or duct tape lol. BUT I guess I could. Maybe no one is battling this. OH and I have great pregnancy bras except my damn torpedo nipples that when I put on my bra point down and show through most of my tops. OR I adjust them and they stick right out...I can't win. I am sleeping like CRAP'OLA, I just can't get comfy by any means. I toss and turn all night and I try to get up and pee and I am in so much pain.
What has surprised you most about this pregnancy? What has been your least favorite part? What is your favorite part? OKAY, so they say that girls take your beauty and they are harder on your body! UM NOPE. DD was so much nicer to my body, I was not in this pain, my face didn't not look like supreme pizza. LEAST FAVORITE: I think I just said it...all the pain and acne. FAVORITE: ...just give me a sec...I am excited to have a new squish and know we are both healthy and things are going along smoothly. Its hard sometimes when you are tired and in pain and you just have to go on with life.
@kc295905, holy cow...three weeks shy of 30. That's crazy!! that's 10 weeks after that and then single digits. I hope your glucose test goes well, I am sure it will!
mrsp121308, omg it almost makes me cry that you are also experiencing the same pains and I am not alone. I am sorry..misery loves company. I mean I have almost been brought to tears getting out of bed. I just don't get it. But your farther than me by 3 weeks. That terrifies me at home much worse this is going to possibly get.
@cahistoryteacher, I read your issues with tummy and MS and I feel like I need to just go sit down somewhere and shut up. Your a trooper and I am just whinning! Sigh. I hope it doesn't get worse for you as the time progresses.

WineNChocolate you are so right misery loves company. It does make me feel better when I know I'm not the only one going through stuff. The aches are awful, I feel like a turtle on its back when I try to get out of bed. It just plain sucks.
WineNChocolate,My stomach stuff has gotten A LOT better. The nice doc I saw at my 24 wk appointment was very helpful. I've probably doubled my fiber and then I take Miralax when I feel like my system is being sluggish and it has really helped. I've gone almost 2 weeks now without any problems.

Week/Team/Fruit: 28 weeks/ B/G Twins/ A rollerblade or a coconut (UM, those aren't even close to the same size!!)
Symptoms: Intense pelvic bone pain, WTH is this?!
Appointments this week: Nothing until 9/20
Rants/Raves/Questions: I should be having an OB appointment this week and I'm mad at myself for letting them schedule me for next week. I need to pay more attention to these things and be a better advocate for myself. Also, my body hurts and I'm huge. I don't know what a singleton pregnancy feels like, but this twin pregnancy just started to get REAL. My body hurts. Ok, rant over.
GTKY: Many of us are nearing the 2/3 mark of this pregnancy (eek!). What has surprised you most about this pregnancy? What has been your least favorite part? (so far) What is your favorite part?
Most surprising - How easy my first trimester was(ducks and hides from the MS ladies....) Least favorite part - How hard everything gets once you have a giant belly. I am so used to doing all these things on my own and now I just want to my MH do everything and take a nap. I also kind of feel like a shitty wife...at times. Favorite part - feeling the babies kick and seeing myself grow! And I love the joy and excitement about having babies. It's just so very exciting. Almost feels like the best Christmas present ever.

Good luck at your GD test, @kc295905! mrsp121308, I hear ya on the aches and pains and the peeing. No bueno. @cahistoryteacher, I have a really hard time figuring out where the babies are too. Granted, I have two babies, but they seem to be kicking all over the place. WineNChocolate, I'm just over here LOL-ing at the visual of your belly button and torpedo nipples. HAHA. I'm so sorry your dealing with that.
GTKY: Many of us are nearing the 2/3 mark of this pregnancy (eek!). What has surprised you most about this pregnancy? What has been your least favorite part? (so far) What is your favorite part? -- it's been so EASY! My last 2 pregnancies were awful. I was significantly heavier pre-pregnancy and way less healthy. I dealt with high blood pressure and swelling and medication and joint pain from the added weight while being pregnant. Awful.
I've had none of that this time. My blood pressure couldn't be more amazing. Other than the occasional backache at the end of the day, I have no pain. My ankles are still normal sized with no swelling at all. I still haven't gained a single pound -- not even to regain what I lost in the first tri. Other than the baby camping out under my lungs, I have no complaints. It's so amazing. My OB is always commenting on how happy I look at my appointments. I'm all "My blood pressure was 112/68 -- I'm freaking thrilled!!!"
Week/Team/Fruit: 27w6d/Purple/Bunch of bananas - third trimester tomorrow!
Symptoms:I'm going to echo mrsp121308, and complain about the heartburn. Between that and the party the twins throw every night around 2 AM I'm getting so little sleep. My crankiness is starting to ramp up, which isn't good when you're dealing with 150 teenagers everyday.
Appointments this week: Regular OB appointment and glucose test on Wednesday.
Rants/Raves/Questions: I'm sick of baby girl kicking/punching me in the ribs. All this movement is starting to really hurt!
GTKY: Many of us are nearing the 2/3 mark of this pregnancy (eek!). What has surprised you most about this pregnancy? What has been your least favorite part? (so far) What is your favorite part? Well, I think having twins was the most surprising part, lol. My least favorite part has absolutely been the "morning" sickness. I'm third trimester, it shouldn't still be happening. My favorite part has been watching DH and seeing how excited he is to become a father.
@kc295905 good luck with the GD test! and I think at 27 weeks baby's position can still change frequently. mrsp121308 good luck with your appointment! @cahistoryteacher ha, my kiddo does the same thing, stops kicking right when H wants to feel. Lil stinker. WineNChocolate sorry you are in so much pain! requiressnacks I am really starting to not believe the size things. Like you are 28 weeks and a coconut and I am 25 weeks and a napa cabbage? Last time I checked a napa cabbage was bigger than a coconut. And a rollerblade? Wut. Lucy so glad you are having an easier pregnancy - after the tough ones you deserve it! Becca good luck at your appointment this week!
Week/Team/Fruit: 25w1d/pink
Symptoms: rib pain. holy moly. I have pain around my ribcage near my bra strap area and it sucks. I have also fully embraced the old lady compression stockings to help my marshmallow man feet.
Appointments this week: I also have a glucose test this week! good luck to all of us
Rants/Raves/Questions: I never thought sitting at a desk would suck so much. sitting all day is killing me. I have tried an exercise ball, back supports for my chair, elevating my feet on my computer tower, pillows - no matter what I still am so achy by lunchtime. Back, ribs, feet, legs. When I'm out of work and can move around it's way better but at work it sucks.
GTKY: Many of us are nearing the 2/3 mark of this pregnancy (eek!). What has surprised you most about this pregnancy? What has been your least favorite part? (so far) What is your favorite part?
Most surprising - how easy it's been so far. It was so hard for me to get pregnant that I just assumed the pregnancy would be difficult. Knock on wood as I'm not in 3rd tri yet, but I've been pretty lucky. Also surprised at how sloooowly time goes when you're pregnant (at least for me). I feel like I've been pregnant for a year.
Least favorite - the aches and pains. And having to switch clothes/bras all the time.
Favorite parts - being pregnant after 2 years of failures! finding out baby was healthy on all tests! feeling her lil kicks!
Week/Team/Fruit: 27 – Green – Cauliflower (Sorry, not a fruit)
Symptoms: Occasional HB, general achiness/stiffness when I sit/lay too long
Appointments this week: GD test tomorrow …. Yay me.
Rants/Raves/Questions: I’m always proud of my husband, however lately he’s really ramped things up a notch with getting things done around the house. Not only does he work 10 hour days, but then he comes home and busts his butt getting the house finished before winter arrives. So far this summer he’s put a new roof on the house and garage, new sofit and facia, new exterior electric outlets and lights and put in all new windows and doors. Last weekend he also got the new nursery walls textured so that we can start painting, which we will hopefully finish this weekend. I’m excited that I can actually help with something for once. The only thing left on the exterior is to put up some white coil that’s going to cover the brick on the bottom of our house, and then the siding. I’m SO excited to see it all finished and so proud of him for 1. Saving us so much money and 2. Doing an amazing job.
GTKY: Many of us are nearing the 2/3 mark of this pregnancy (eek!). What has surprised you most about this pregnancy? What has been your least favorite part? (so far) What is your favorite part? I’m surprised at how fast it’s been going once I hit the 2nd tri… having had a loss prior to G, the first trimester was scary again and seemed to take forever; it’s funny though because we’re so busy with having a 15 month at home that this pregnancy isn’t in the forefronts of our minds like it was with her. I feel like we’re more relaxed, less anxious to get things done and ready… even though we need to get a move on it. I’d say my least fav part is the extra aches and pains that I didn’t have with G. More than anything, I’m excited (and anxious) to see what baby is and hopefully enrich G’s life with a sibling for her to love.
@kcnumbers – GL on your test today! We also need a boy name…. ugh. We’re not set on a girls name either, but at least we have a few options that we like.
mrsp121308 – I just heard on the radio yesterday that pickle juice is supposed to help. Worth a shot.
@cahistoryteacher – Isn’t it weird how the seem to be so active while in the ute and then once they come out all they do is sleep? I wish we could see into our bellies to see what they’re doing when the movement is going crazy like that.
@winenchocolate – I also have a desk job and once I sit for long periods of time, I’m really slow to get up and it’s painful… I def. did not have this with G. I feel your pain! OMG. I just have to laugh at your Rants…. You’re the best!
requiressnacks – I’m sorry that you have to wait another week, hopefully the time will pass quickly for you.
Lucy – Isn’t it amazing what some extra pounds can do to our body? I need to remember this for after baby comes… I’m 20 lbs heavier than I was during my last pregnancy, but ideally I’d like to lose at least 40 (from where I am now, so add that to whatever I’ll gain yet until Dec)… it’s just so hard! BUT – those feelings are what I need to remember when I’m dieting.
@becca – I can’t even imagine being told I was having twins… but what a blessing. I oogle over the local photogs pics of twins --- quite a few of them actually – and they’re just SO cute all snuggled up together. Good luck at your test today!
emilie – GL this week with your GD test! And I’m in the same boat with sitting all day….. holy stiffness. I feel like my pregnancy has gone by pretty fast, but everyone else thinks it’s gone by slowly… my mom told me the other day that if I have another pregnancy she doesn’t want to know right away and to wait awhile to tell her, she feels like I’ve been pregnant forever! LOL.

Week/Team/Fruit: 26/Green for now/Eggplant
Symptoms: Baby kicks and horrible sciatic nerve pain.
Appointments this week: None until my GD on the 27th.
Rants/Raves/Questions: I'm starting to think my back pain is more than just my sciatic nerve. I have to move very carefully, otherwise I get the worst shooting pain up my back and leg. Maybe a pinched nerve? My OB practice has an acupuncturist on staff. I might see what I can do about getting an appointment.
GTKY: Many of us are nearing the 2/3 mark of this pregnancy (eek!). What has surprised you most about this pregnancy? What has been your least favorite part? (so far) What is your favorite part? Um...STM so not much in the way of surprises. The only surprise I can think of is that when I found out I was pregnant and knew DH would be gone for the majority of it (so far he's been gone for four out of six months), and knowing that I had a toddler to deal with, I thought I was going to be a wreck. I didn't see any of this going smoothly, I thought it would be a disaster and that I would just be an emotional wreck. I think I surprised myself with how well I've been able to handle everything. I'm okay and DS doesn't seem like he's been scarred for life, so we're good!
Least favorite part? DH not being here to do things like take out the trash, rub my back, run me a bath, let me nap when I need one...basically I miss having him around to cater to me so I can rest while he wrangles with the Toddler Tornado!
Favorite part? I love when DS kisses my belly and says "Hi baby!" He's so cute. And the fact that I only have 13 weeks left is pretty cool too
Symptoms: Just up and down with being either completely exhausted or feeling fine. It's a toss up every day.
Appointments this week: Currently at my 27 week appointment. All is well, so I'm waiting to finish the second hour of my glucose test. Also got my rhogam shot. Next appointment in four weeks, then down to every two weeks.
Rants/Raves/Questions: Just feeling like this baby will be here so soon, and my schedule is full of trips and events. I want time to be home, relaxing and hopefully nesting. The closer we get to meeting the baby, the less I want to share her with other people.
GTKY: Many of us are nearing the 2/3 mark of this pregnancy (eek!). What has surprised you most about this pregnancy? What has been your least favorite part? (so far) What is your favorite part? I'm surprised with how relatively easy it has been. I assumed I would be miserable, but I'm not so far. The least favorite part so far is the nosebleeds/congestion and constant peeing. They're small things, but super inconvenient. Favorite part is the shopping and getting to feel the baby move. It's so fun, every time. I thought it would get old, but it doesn't.
Symptoms: Not sleeping very well, but otherwise feeling pretty good.
Appointments this week: Had the glucose test this morning (fingers crossed that I passed!); nothing else until the first week of October and then I switch to every 2 weeks.
Rants/Raves/Questions:
GTKY: Many of us are nearing the 2/3 mark of this pregnancy (eek!). What has surprised you most about this pregnancy? What has been your least favorite part? (so far) What is your favorite part? Surprised: probably just how tiring being pregnant is in general. Maybe also surprised that I haven't been super hormonal - people always talk about / stereotype hormonal pregnant women, but I've been pretty even keeled. Least favorite: definitely the hyperemesis gravidarum first tri. It's so nice to not feel nauseated all the time anymore! The kidney stone was also no fun, but that was probably less pregnancy related except for related to when I got crazy dehydrated 1st tri. Favorite: if you had asked me two days ago, I would have unequivocally said baby kicks, though that was before baby rotated around and spent 24 hours kicking my cervix and jamming his head up into my lungs, which is less fun. Still probably my favorite though. I also love shopping for baby and getting his room set up.
