The twinkies were doing gymnastics last night so I didn't get much sleep. It was the most movement I've felt so far and it was really cool but it also made me naseous.
@feegan It was somewhat intentional that we kept going before R&G got to the toddler stage. They're adding tantrums when they don't get what they want, picky eating, throwing food, and ripping toys out of each other's hands (or trying to, in G's case... R's a little too big and strong for her most of the time). Daycare reported that R spend a chunk of yesterday pulling G and another smaller baby over, though he may have been trying to use them to stand up. He's done that a lot. At least G is kind of getting the idea of "gentle."
I'm having one of those days where I think those of you that went on to have subsequent children after your multiples are crazy. Especially you nomnom ! Lol! We are in full toddler mode over here and sharing is for the birds as are "gentle touches" and eating anything I make. Sigh.
I often think about how I must have been crazy to have another. Especially now that the 2yo is very into his tantrums in every way. Why oh why???

Damn you Carter's, your sales, and cute clothes! How am I NOT supposed to buy stuff when your prices are only a couple dollars higher then the used kids clothes store?!?!?

These were just a few items from my Labor Day shopping but I ordered more yesterday...oops!
I have two shipments coming from carters this week. I'm telling DH they shipped half of the order early. Oops. Those clothes are just too darn cute. I can't help myself.
I'm on day 3 back to work, first day back in the office since April when I went on bed rest. It's weird being back here. Monday was tearful and sad, but yesterday and today have been infinitely better. I was even running EARLY this morning and had to drive the long way to the sitter's so we wouldn't be early. I don't count on that happening very often!

Left R with the new babysitter this morning and took E & A to the new moms coffee meetup from 10-12. It was sooo nice to drink coffee without a toddler climbing on me and so nice to spend some time with just the babies. Plus, I met lots of other moms in our area so hopefully some turn into new friends.
mc13 Gawd, that sounds nice. I'd love to have people to talk to.
It was so nice to be with adults other than DH. Lol We moved here in May and did not know anyone. It's so hard to make friends as an adult, let alone as a parent so I'm really hoping to find some mom friends to hangout with more often.

I really need to work on getting out like that. If MH were more capable of watching the kids it'd be easier. Maybe I should just invest in the babysitting time, but $15/hour is pretty steep to go and chat about nothing in particular.

Funny, MH and I were just talking about how we've lived here almost 5 years and didn't meet any of the neighbors until I started sitting in the front yard with the babies! I think the families around us didn't know what to do with the childless couple on the block!

Our area is more college students than stable families. I really don't like living in a college town.
@feegan Holy crap, there actually is one in my town! Unfortunately it's Mondays 9-11, when I'm at work. Sometimes I wonder if I'd be more isolated as a SAHM or working mom.
@feegan, I'm totally tempted to go the one at Christ Church in Oak brook just because their childcare facility is AMAZING. They do charge, FYI. But I'm not surprised.
schmella, You're right, there is a charge per semester, but childcare is included. I should've clarified. nomnom I also forgot to mention it was aimed at SAHM's
No, the moppets program at CCOB is $5 per visit. Again not surprised and I might call- if that's for both kids I'd still be cool. They have these amazing play areas, their daycare center is bigger than my house and has a big climbing area for bigger kids

Our MoMs sale was today, but I was just too tired to get up early and go as the littles fought bedtime last night again. I think it might be time to move bedtime up.

Wow! Those are some awesome deals! Between the weather and the way I feel I skipped our huge resale this week, I'm kind of regretting it now!

We're on our way back from our nephew's 1st birthday party and I am so irrationally irritated by MIL that I'm afraid to even open my mouth lest I say something unfairly hurtful. I was so excited about this trip but forgot that my favorite part of road trips are the conversations with MH in the car... Which is impossible with MIL in the car... Which is why I'm irritated... But I'm the one who insisted she ride with us... Did I mention I'm hormonal? UGH GET ME HOME FASTER!!!

schmella oh no. I did a trip like that a few months ago. Totally sucks the fun out of the trip. I'm sending you time warp vibes so the drive home ends quickly.
