Waiting To Do Something (WTDS) Week of 9/12

This is the Waiting to do Something thread posted once a week (usually on Mondays - sometimes not) for those of us that experience long, extended cycles. Whether it's medicated cycles, long (45ish + days) cycles, postpartum/breastfeeding, TTA, on the bench, or something else, this is the place we gather throughout the week to discuss and vent about our slightly unique situation.

Circumstances: TTA

RRNFNSQ: Nothing really happening right now... I've been using my new BBT and I love it. I considered buying some OPKs soon but I'm not sure if it's necessary since I'm TTA, I was just hoping to get comfortable with them before we TTC. Suggestions? Thoughts?

GTKY: What is your favorite piece of jewelry (besides your engagement ring or wedding band)?

I don't really wear a lot of jewelry. I like earrings a lot and have probably a good 50+ pairs on a hanging thing that I've bought over the years. Most of my jewelry is cheap because I'm cheap.

caitost21 Happy birthday to your son! Your ring sounds so pretty.

@veritas I'm glad you like charting! I like using OPKs, but I know some don't. Try them and see if you like them. I use the Wondfos, and they work great for me.

Numbers: Cycle 6, Month 9, CD 3

Circumstances: TTC #1 with PCOS and long/irregular cycles

RRNFNSQ: Starting my period was really hard on me this past cycle. It wasn't any different from any other cycle, so I don't know why I was upset this time.

GTKY: What is your favorite piece of jewelry (besides your engagement ring or wedding band)?

I have this pair of earrings that I wear everyday. They are silver, and they thread through my ears. They are very plain, but I love them.

gabride2010 I'm sorry it was hard on you this time. I hope this is the last time you have to feel that way.

@veritas I like wondfo opks and I'll probably start using them before we start TTC because I want to chart and track everything for a bit to see where I'm at.

Circumstances:TTA, 9+ weeks pp & breastfeeding. We will likely TFAS next year.

RRNFNSQ: I'm just kicking it. Starting the pill was easier than I thought it would be, once I finally got up the nerve to start it it's fine. I had a few days of spotting a week or two ago, not really enough to consider a period but it came with PMS and cramps so, I don't know if it counts as my first period. People are already asking us when we're going to TFAS. I don't think anybody who knows how long we tried for our first has asked though so I don't feel like getting into it and just shrug and smile.

GTKY: a necklace my mom gave me before she passed. I also just inherited a sweet pair of diamond earrings from my grandma that I love!
