I love all the subs. Jimmy Johns is probably top...I also really like Potbelly's and Subway. Jersey mikes is good too. I've never had Firehouse though. Their commercials say they steam the sandwiches which sounds weird to me but whatevs, as long as it's delicious.

I'm a vegetarian, so I like the places with the most fresh veggies. There's a family-owned place by me that has tons: cucumber, carrots, avocado, tomato, sprouts, spinach, etc. So that's my favorite. If I'm getting it from a more regular place? DiBella's or Wegmans.

I love Wegmans subs, I actually had to go grocery shopping there this morning so I treated myself to one for lunch!

I really get grossed out by Subway but we do eat it on occasion. My MIL owns a sub shop so I will say her subs are the best! Other then that I really only like the mom and pop places we have around.

Ooh I forgot about Potbelly. I went there all the time I college. Love their hot peppers.

I like the small, family owned places best. We also have a chain here called Port of Subs, I'm not sure if it is a local chain or if they are everywhere, but they are pretty good and have better and fresher ingredients than Subway.

Subway and Quiznos are pretty much our only options. I could eat Subway every single day until recently. I got super sick after having one (I don't think it was the sub, just bad timing) and I think it will be awhile before I can rekindle my Subway love. I do like Quiznos, but I feel as though they've gone downhill in the recent year, at least the ones near me!

Any little hole-in-the-wall deli in Manhattan. They usually give you a huge sub piled with meat for a reasonable price. (I'm not talking about Pret-A-Manger or something. I mean a place like, say, Carl's Deli.)

Barring that, Subway.

Publix subs are the best!!! Publix is a grocery store down here.Jjersey Mikes is a close second.
I rarely eat at subway - there is only 1 sub I order there. H likes Firehouse, I'm OK with never going there and I've only been to Jimmie Johns about twice so I don't really have an opinion.

There is a local place that is my favorite, diplomat deli
For chains, Jimmy Johns is my fave. I had one right before and after having DS. They deliver to the hospital

I'm pretty much on the same boat as you jnetx, I LOVE Quizno's but rarely see them anymore. We have a subway right beside our house so when we're in a pinch or I forgot to take meat out (happens a lot, lol) we end up getting Subway.

Like you, I don't like their subs toasted. It makes their bread go all funky.

There's this Italian specialty shop by me that has the best sandwiches. I like subway for a quick lunch but if I really want a good sandwich, I go to that shop. We don't have jimmy johns by us but everyone raves about them.

I worked at a Subway for about five years when I was younger, so I am pretty much completely burned out on subs. If I am going to eat one though, I prefer Quiznos. Jealous of all of you with local shops around you, all we have are chains.
