Poll: Diaper Bag or Regular Bag?

Because it looks like Pink is bringing Clicky Poll Wednesday to our board, here's a question that's been on my mind. Now that I've had several months to use it, I realized I want a different diaper bag. I didn't get to pick one out for myself, but now's the time. My diaper bag always slides off my shoulder and I can't use it when I'm wearing the baby, so I'm in the market for something else. Feel free to share specifics in the comments.

It's large enough to fit diapers / wipes / nursing scarf, along with my wallet, lotion, and makeup bag. I am in LOVE with it. Life has been so much easier with one less bag to cart around.

I chose SS because I have two I use regularly. If I'm just taking the baby, then I use a hobo purse. If I've got all three girls, then I carry a diaper bag. I have a messenger style diaper bag that I actually picked out with the intention that DH wouldn't be embarrassed to carry it around. But quite frankly now I'm embarrassed to carry it (too manly). I love all the pockets that it has but DS's favorite kind of bottle doesn't fit in the "bottle pocket" which is annoying!
Definitely in the market for a Mommy diaper bag!

Regular black diaper bag. I also have my purse separate both because DW uses the diaper bag too and because I leave the diaper bag in the car most of the time. I prefer to change LO there vs public bathrooms and hate schlepping it around. I only bring it in places if we'll be away from the car for a long time, if getting back to the car would be a huge pain, or if we're at someone's house. Our system is working fine for us.

My diaper bag got destroyed when a bag of sliced apples leaked and rotted. I now use the changing pad from that in a regular purse. I never liked the way diaper bags looked anyway and I didn't need all those compartments.

I have a Lug tote that I bought for a travel bag... and then H and I decided to use it as the diaper bag because he wouldn't be ashamed to carry it. "It's manly enough". Whatevs. It's my purse now because I carry the few "me" things I need in it too.

We only use the Vera Bradley bag these days. DH has no problem wearing a girly backpack. We both like it much more than the Diaper Dude, probably because it has more space. We cloth diaper so it's nice to have room for a days worth of cloth diapers, his bottles, and extra clothes for daycare. The changing mat in the Vera Bradley is better than the one in the Diaper Dude, too. I don't even use a purse anymore. I just stick my wallet, phone, and whatever else I need in the diaper bag. I can't have a purse at work either so I just use my pump bag or cooler bag to hold whatever I need while I'm at work.

I use a diaper bag. I really like it because it fits everything, but then I find I end up cramming so much into it. Hopefully when J potty trains I can just leave a change of clothes in the car for him and get something smaller for Max. I have a little kids backpack that I use sometimes for small outings.

something like that and I really like it. I picked it purposely because it was a little more plain with a little graphic ness to it. DH doesn't mind carrying it either but he has his own Bears one (which he hadn't used once yet) I usually wear it cross body and I like that it's not too huge. It has a lot of pockets but it doesn't expand a whole lot so it forces me to not bring a bunch of crap we don't need.

I have a clutch for purse purposes. When I'm out and about with the little miss, the clutch slides right into the diaper bag.

I have a blue Petuna Pickle Bottom bag. It's great, love it. I got it on sale on the website. I use it in place of my purse. It's not too bulky which suits me.

It's been super handy and practical. I just throw my wallet in when I'm out with the baby. When I'm out by myself I have a purse.

The diaper bag works great for packing things in for the babysitters the two days I work. It's also worked really well for travel. I also don't mind when it gets beat up.

I bought a Coach diaper bag from their outlet store for $150. I can't remember the last time I used a purse as I just throw my wallet in there. It has lasted longer than a handmade diaper bag that I bought for the same price on Etsy. I like it because it doesn't really look like a diaper bag, it's big enough, and easy to clean.

I started with a diaper bag - which worked great when I was on mat leave (basically it became my purse too). Now that I'm back to carrying my purse, I moved everything into my backpack because it is just easier.

We have two diaper bags. One is a Kate Spade diaper bag I got from my shower. I love that bag because it's just a giant version of my Michael Kors purse. It doesn't have a lot of pockets, so that's annoying, but it works and looks adorable. I also have a small clutch that I put 'purse stuff' in and then toss in the bag.
We also have a Skip Hop messenger bag that we never use. My parents are going to start picking DD up from daycare early once a week, so I'll probably send that bag to daycare with her for my parents.

I have a Vera Bradley diaper bag and love it. I also have a small Vera purse that I can put in the front flap of the diaper bag when I'm out with LO so I only have 1 bag to worry about.
