Happy Monday!
We are a group of women striving to live healthier lives, whether that means losing weight, gaining weight, sticking to a specific diet, counting calories, avoiding counting calories, starting to exercise, continuing to exercise or anything in between.
We check in on Mondays. Feel free to use this ckin throughout the week if you are struggling or have an awesome achievement to share!
QOTD: Light sleepers: have you ever tried ear plugs to help from noise waking you up? I need to try something! Asshat construction workers show up next door at 6:30/7 and I want to murder them!!

The Good: I lost 4 lbs last week because of all the salads - woo!
The Bad: I drank two bottles of wine and ate a vat of buffalo chicken dip over the weekend... Oh and an ENTIRE loaf of my pumpkin chocolate chip bread. Because yum.
The Proud: I started the week off with a salad...?
The Plan: Keep with the salads. I think I might give up the alcohol for a while. Although our anniversary is this weekend... so I might cheat.
QOTD: I have a fan in the room, but thats about it. I'm a light sleeper always and forever.
The Good: I've lost 9-10 pounds since I started trying to loose some weight. Seem to have hit a bit of a plateau though, as I keep bouncing back 'n forth between 65 and 65,5kg. The scale went below 65 a couple of times last week (barely, but still hah) but I've been stress-eating so wasn't surprised I'm back up a pound.
The Bad: I polished off half a bag of licorice in one day... oops. I am thinking now that maybe I should just finish it altogether so that it's gone, rather then spread it out over the rest of the week lol.
The Proud: I dusted of my bike last week and went on a short ride twice.
The Plan: Now that the heat seems to have left for the year, I hope to really pick up running again. Mum gifted me an awesome set of running gear (shoes, pants&tops, special running bra!) and I'm ready to give it a proper shot again. I went for a walk to walk in the shoes after we bought them and they just máde me run! Also, continue to eat smaller portions as I have (which is easier then I thought it'd be), and try not to stress-eat.
Oh forgot the QoTW. Starting sleeping with ear plugs has made a huge difference for me. It's not a magic problem fixer, but has definitely helped me sleep. I am a light sleeper and at some point every single friggin sound during the night would wake me up and I'd lay awake for ages before falling asleep again. With earplugs in I sleep for longer stretches, and also sleep deeper then without. Added benefit for me is that the silence in my ears is also giving me a bit of silence in my head and helps put a stop to grinding thoughts some as well. Unfortunately wearing them for too long makes my ears hurt so I don't use them every night, but as much as I can (sometimes I'll pull them out after waking up in the night, and/or wear them from halfway the night on, etc). I say, give them a try!

The Good: I'm getting myself back together
The Bad: steps were still on the low side. Yesterday I rocked it at my friend's wedding with 20,000 steps though! Food left much to be desired unfortunately!
The Proud: My step count yesterday!
The Plan: actually hit 10,000 steps everyday this week. I can do this! Also to eat much better than I have been over the past few weeks.
QOTW: I sleep with a fan on, so that helps me to sleep better. It's white noise and it helps to muffle other sounds. I'm a very light sleeper and this works for me. I've never tried ear plugs...I'm not sure I'd like them.
