Milestones: Adding more words by the day it seems like. At this rate he will be able to talk in complete sentences before he decides to sit up. He did tripod sit by himself for 2.5 seconds yesterday, otherwise there has been zero interest in it.
Challenges: The saga of The Tooth That Refuses to Come continues. He screamed all day then chewed on my nipple the rest. This damn tooth better come in pure gold for all the hell it has given us. Oh, and sleep is f-ed up again thanks to said tooth. Up every 2 hours when he was doing a lovely little 7 hour stretch.
Funny/Cute stories: My step sister came over yesterday and she was playing with him. She was making faces at him and she raised one her eyebrows and looked at him. He did the same back except with his serious face on. So. Freaking. Funny. Wish I had a pic.
How are you? Tired. My whole body aches. I see why sleeplessness is an effective means of torture, it effects everything! I'm happy that H is taking off the rest of the week. He can spend time with our little that randomly channels Satan and I can sleep!
QOTW: What movie will you always watch if you come across it on TV? LOTR The Two Towers. I will watch any of them, but that is my favorite. I know the whole movie by heart. It's sad really.

Age: 1 mo.
Milestones: rolled belly to back a few times, but it's a fluke thing for sure
Challenges: Wonder Week 5's metabolism changes have brought sleep destroying gas
Funny/Cute stories: if you tickle her mouth with her paci or give her a kiss she will give you a huge grin
How are you? Stressed about baby sleep. I am a nap nazi and MIL who is not (but is lovely) is visiting. I am trying to balance letting MIL hold the baby with the baby's need for sleep and getting stressed and irritated.
QOTW: What movie will you always watch if you come across it on TV? TV? I rarely make time for TV.

I promise I'll come back to read later, but only have 7 more minutes on my lunch break...
And I have to do this check-in because it's my 2nd to last - I will have a ONE year old in 10 days!!
Eats all the solids. I feel like he's close to walking, but have also been saying this for almost a month now. Also, finally getting a solid 2 hr nap at DC
Not too many challenges. He had a rally rally bad night of sleep a few days ago - didn't need us to help him go back down, but woke up sooooo many times crying. Not sure what was up, maybe more teeth??
He's had the MOST ridiculous bed head lately. The past 2 mornings I've had to take pictures because it's just been so crazy.
Adults are much better this week. OT has died down (for the time being) for me, and DH is likely accepting a new job.
DX: MFI TTC April 2011 BFP #1 7/15/11, EDD 3/22/12 - CP Varicocelectomy surgery 9/4/12 - T improved to normal, but still MFI IVF #1 w/ ICSI Jan 2015 - 11R/6M/6F, ET of a 3AB expanded blast w/ none to freeze.
Milestones: You guys were right, DD2 is consistently rolling belly to back, so not a fluke! It's only one way though. If she could figure out her arm she could get back to belly as well but keeps getting stuck on her side. Lol
Challenges: None. She is seriously the happiest baby ever. My only concern is how long is too long for a baby to sleep overnight? Don't hate me, but she sleeps 8p-6a without waking but I feel like that is waaaaaay too long for being so young?
Funny/cute stories: I love that when she wakes up in the morning and I pick her up she coo's and is all smiles. Her sister screamed at wake up until she was a year old or more and still isn't the most pleasant morning person.
How are you? Doing ok. Everytime we have a "routine" figured out with the two girls one of them changes things up and we are back at the beginning trying to adjust. I don't foresee that stopping anytime soon.

taberbtb that is a long stretch of sleep! I am jealous! I wouldn't worry about it being too long of a stretch unless there are other issues like growth or something.

Hi ladies! Hope you all are doing well!
Age: 6 months tomorrow!
Milestones: Another tooth has popped through, so we're up to 3 now. He's gotten much better at standing/supporting himself with his legs.
Challenges: He's still not rolling over, which has me a bit concerned. This tooth was rough coming in - hoping the worst is over.
Funny/Cute stories: Oh my goodness. This dude in his exersaucer is so entertaining to watch. He's so busy when he's there! He tries to chew on one thing while using his hands to play with another, then will remember there are other toys there, and then he finds himself in the mirror and admires himself for a few minutes, then it all starts again.
How are you? Surviving! My grad classes started, and the work load seems manageable so far. It's just a matter of adjusting and figuring life out.
QOTW: What movie will you always watch if you come across it on TV? Hmm. Legally Blonde usually sucks me in. Or any other girly chick flick.

taberbtb if she sleeps through the night on her own and is gaining weight appropriately, she's doing just great. No need to wake her up. This kid slept through the night starting at 5 weeks (he was back at birth weight by day 6 and was packing them on very well) and the pedi said that's marvelous. Enjoy it!

readinglove we just started rolling (one way, still can't do the rest) last week. As long as he's hitting other milestones, I wouldn't worry about it. Babies do things "out of order" sometimes.

That's super reassuring. He sits unassisted like a champ, but rolling is apparently hard. Granted, he's a chunk so I'm trying to go with it being hard to heft 24ish pounds around. Some days it's easier than others to not worry.

readinglove - has his muscle tone been checked? My DD1 has mild low tone (no other issues, it is totally benign for her) and rolled late but loved being sat up. That said, some kids also just roll late. Take it from me, though, that if there is a small issue it can be addressed. We did 6 mo. of PT through Early Intervention and truly lived out therapist and the experience.

We have also been sitting like a champ for a couple months now. I also attribute it to him being "solidly built." LOL. Also, I finally got the roll one way after doing it with him on the floor for a few days. Nothing else seemed to motivate him. I basically laid down opposite him (like our faces at each other) and took his arms and rolled him across the floor with me. Somehow that caught on. Maybe try that?

It hasn't been checked yet. I'll bring that up at his 6 month check next week - thank you for the advice!

Solidly built, extremely healthy...all of those definitely apply to Chunky McChunkerton. I think this weekend we'll definitely be rolling around on the floor. He'll get himself half-way, but hasn't figured out he just needs to push his leg to finish it. Silly child!
