I want to walk ds to school but there's a part of me that feels bad for making him walk just so that I'll get exercise. If we only lived a smidge closer, I wouldn't have this internal battle.

I asked ds if he wanted to walk & he said yes so we walked. I think the way back is worse but that's only me so I don't have to worry about him. He seems just fine when we get there so we'll see how often we do it.
namastebiotches, how far is it? I feel like I remember thinking it was a very reasonable distance, but I'm not positive I am truly remembering correctly.
Up way too early here too. LO got a whopping SIX hours of sleep. That plus he isn't feeling 100% equals me being scared to find out what will be in store for the day. I have GOT to keep some motivation flowing though as my already full to-do list just grew. The plan is to focus mostly on the enjoyable tasks on the list for today.

Yea our town doesn't have a bus limit to how far you have to live out. DS can ride if he wanted to but he doesn't like that it's all mixed up so I drive him. We're considered 'walkers' because I park behind where the car line is & 'walk' him up to the front playground. Literally just a few steps. The car line is crazy.
cam it's under a mile. Around .9. We've done it a few times since school started, I'm just second guessing myself. As usual lol
Obviously every kid tires at a different rate and responds differently (i.e. some calm, some get jazzed up, some get cranky, etc), but that distance wouldn't even cross my mind as being too far for my own LO. Your LO sounds happy about the walk and able to handle it well, so it sounds like a great thing to do.

I finally calculated how many speech appts we're up to. There was some discrepancy in the beginning of the year but my number & insurance's numbers are pretty spot on so that means we only have 5 left. They will cover more but they need preauthorization. Gotta email the center we go to & see if she can do that now or if we have to wait the 5 weeks.
I've been sending out e-mails to let people know that I'm leaving next week and give them my replacement's contact info. The responses I'm getting back are so nice, a couple of them made me tear up.

Feeling better today. Much less exhausted too!
Finally got caught up at school since it was technically a half day and I stayed and got reorganized. Feeling much better about that!
This evening I might be heading to unload the remainder of wedding pieces to my friends parents house. Or we might go catch my nephews soccer game. Either way it's beautiful here!
Hugs and well wishes all around for illnesses, rough times, etc.
Someone please get my tablet some coffee. It just tried changing "around" to "winner." As if its usual deleting letters and even whole words after I've typed them (and they were present) isn't bad enough.
