LO is still sick so I took the morning off and then DH is going to come home so I can go in for the afternoon. We have early dismissal for meetings so I won't actually see my students. After school I need to start birthday shopping. I swear everyone I know has a birthday in October.
O & I have already breakfasted and bathed. We'll be leaving in about 45 minutes to go see my BFF for her lunch break. Pretty sure he'll sleep on the way there. He has a haircut this afternoon, we need to go to the grocery store, pick up prescriptions, and get to the mall to pick up boots I ordered. Fairly busy Friday for us.

Tomorrow I am doing a fun run with the family and some friends. It's cupcake themed, so naturally I made cupcake costumes for the kids. Haha.
Sunday we fly to Toronto to spend a week with my family! Most of them have never met B and haven't seen A since she was 2 months old. They'll get to spend time with their great great grandma. I'm really looking forward to everything but the flights haha.

Spending the morning unpacking some boxes and waiting for some contractors to get here to test do radon testing and fix our drywall. Then later this afternoon my parents are having one last pool party since it's supposed to get cooler starting tomorrow, so we'll get our last splashes in!
Bluedaisy I know a ton of October birthdays too. Canada...its just so cold here in Jan/Feb haha.
We have a ton of rain forecast this weekend, and it's begun so will be an inside day for us boo. H is planning on taking DS up to the city after he's done work to run some errands and grab us supper, yay!
Tomorrow is one of my BFFs daughter's first birthday party. They insisted on no gifts, so I offered to take candid pictures for them throughout the party. Gives me a different chance to get me some practice with my camera, and because I know how hard it is to balance pictures and hosting at my kids birthday parties so I wanted to take that off her plate for her! She thought that was really nice and wants me to do that so I guess that's what I'll be up to!
So glad this week is over. Long story so feel free to skip if you'd like. My boss's last day is today, but I'm off on Fridays, so yesterday we said our goodbyes. She works in Canada, so everything we do is over the phone. She asked me to take this week and get things in place for my maternity leave and said to use her office so that it's quiet and so I can get work done (she has an office here for when she's in town). During our last call by boss told me that apparently there's been lots of drama and gossip about me being in that office and how I have no right to be in there and I can't just expect that office is mine now that my boss is leaving. Cue ugly pregnant tears because my boss is leaving me with her projects which I now need to plan for in the 9 weeks I have left, plus my own work that all needs to be thought through before maternity leave. The executives that brought this up are both 60+, total assholes, old school and have nothing better to do with their days than start petty shit like this. What makes me most mad is our performance reviews are next month and petty shit like this always gets brought up during those discussions. I'm so ready to be done with that place for a while. I'm going to try my hardest to not think about it this weekend. I'm MOH in my friend's wedding, so I'm hoping a little pampering and partying will help! Have a great weekend everyone!
sugarkissed, you did that run last year too, right? I remember you asking how to decorate a stroller like a cupcake?
That sucks tjanca22, sorry you have to deal with that.
This weekend is just getting details sorted out for DS's brithday party which is a week from tomorrow. billyhorrible thanks for the earlier tag about tsum tsums, I totally missed the sale but I appreciate you thinking about me and it didn't go unnoticed! I've been so busy at work I just haven't had much time to be here or to plan the party.
I also plan on going to the library tomorrow to get some books on being thankful/gracious, so I can really drill in those qualities right before DS's party. (obviously I'm always trying to instill that, but it's just nice to have a good focus on it for reading time). Anyone have any book suggestions in that vein?

tjanca22 I'm so sorry that happened. I feel like she didn't even need to tell you any of that. There is always going to be gossip in an office environment regarding who has what. I remember I started a new job and the owners put me in a huge office with a view and even the HR head couldn't stop being vocal about everyone's petty jealousy and told me 'You wont be in that office for long.'
my point being that try not to focus on the gossip and just focus on doing your personal best job possible. You're better then all that.

I'm old school, so I love Berenstain Bears for stuff like that. I can't think of a specific book off the top of my head, but I'm sure there is one. (I feel like there might even be a birthday specific one with sister bear? I picture a yellow book with a cake and her on the cover with a party hat?)

We have a berenstain bears about good manners called 'forget their manners'. It's a good one for that.

We've got a busy day. Lots of errands to run and an eye appointment for me. I'm hoping A does ok with H during my appointment, this cold has doubled his clinginess. If he's still in a good mood afterwards we're going for sushi.
I swear everyone I know has a birthday in October.
Yup. There were 5 kids in LBB's daycare born in October, 3 in his current preschool, and 2 in my moms group. We go to a lot of parties in October!
This is our last "no plan" weekend before the October craziness starts. Just soccer, swimming, and a show. I'm also using it for last minute party prep before LBB's birthday next weekend.

Getting ready to take C back in to the doctor. He woke up this morning covered in a rash and I'm 99% sure it's an allergic reaction to the amoxicillin he is on.
billyhorrible, @poppyc8, yes we have gotten the Berenstain bears one before about "forgot your manners". I'll take a look for the birthday one. I'm pretty sure there is a Clifford one too.

I'm hoping sushi is what H feels like bringing home from the city too!

Thanks Bluedaisy! Stopping the amoxicillin and starting the Benadryl. We are being added to the allergic to amoxicillin club (well until he's 2 and we can do a test to determine if it's a true allergy). Thankfully the rash doesn't seem to bother him (this was taken at 9am and I think it's worse now)
I'm sorry tjanca22. It's so frustrating when people don't know the whole story and spread gossip and negativity throughout the work place. Just try to focus on what you need to do and don't even think twice about the others. Hugs.
sabrinaml poor baby! Hopefully the rash goes away soon!
O had her 15 month appointment this morning. I was frustrated because they gave her 2 of her shots and forgot the varicella. I asked about it (before she gave the other 2). She went ahead and gave the 2 and then came back in to give her that one. So poor kid had to endure another poke after she had just calmed down from the first 2. Grrrrr!

We're going to see Anderson cooper tomorrow, which will be fun!
My friend had her monthly LLR sale last week and I had commented that a particular pattern was my unicorn because I loved it so much, but I wasn't going to buy any. I came home to a surprise package with the leggings - she couldn't sell a pair of them because they had irregular stitching in the waistband, so they're mine! I'm so happy!

Every night before bed LBB and I do "best part of the day, worst part of the day, what I'm looking forward to tomorrow." I ask him, and he asks me. Last night I told him I was looking forward to the ice cream surprise party we're throwing for a coworker. He got really sad because it's not fair I get to go to an ice cream party and he doesn't.
I had my first emotional breakdown earlier today about DS starting preschool next week, even though it's only usually 4 hours a week. I think it all just kind of hit me, things are going to start to change so much from our last 3 years together. It will all be good things, and I'm really excited too that DD and I will start to have some one on one time too, but today I'm just having a sad day over it.
My mother is coming to visit this weekend. My husband is going away for a few days so it will nice to have another adult around. And she saw LO learn to walk, but hasn't seen him since he could take more than 5 steps in a row. So excited for her to see him walking around.
