I was trying to finish up some paperwork before 5 o'clock yesterday. At about 4, my computer decided it needed to do updates right then, so I had 10 minutes or so to save everything, which involved several documents. THREE flipping hours later, I was finally close to getting the computer started back up and finding all my programs that had been moved off my start area and task bar, etc. I still have some settings to check yet. Grr! So now I have to work on the paperwork today that didn't get done yesterday. I hate that automatic updates can't be turned off anymore, only deferred. Microsoft is on my shit list right now for not allowing me to get my work done when I needed to (spelling that out since I am sure they will find this post with their name in it).

Oof. What a day. Swimming lessons, grandparents came with then we carpooled to a cave. It was intense. Dinner out & then late bday presents for ds. Legos. Real Legos. Damn they're small.
All day long though everything was reminiscing about when Dh & his siblings were young & how they didn't have this or that when they were ds' age & blah blah blah or do you remember this person, that person. Every single time they come out it's the same convos. This can't be normal. & Dh doesn't know how to switch subjects so it's like being in a hamster wheel. I'm just there mentally rocking in the corner.

I keep getting the psycho idea of going back to school & getting one of those medical associate degrees, either radiology tech, dental hygienist, something that involves a test at the end & good chance of a job afterwards. But then I think damn. 6 years of already doing school with a masters degree was for what then?! I wish I had this way of thinking back when I was 18. I'd resent the younger classmates. 😑
namastebiotches, are there part-time programs, or programs that aim at people who are going back to school. There must be more people who get this idea when they're 'not 18'. I am taking a shortened part time school to become a teacher, and most of my classmates are 30+ with kids.
Visited my sister yesterday and DS had a blast with his cousins. Today DH took DS to the Lego store for the first time while I went to yoga. He had a blast picking out legos and making our lego family. He picked a crazy skirt for me along with a lab tech top.

if anything I'd want an accelerated program since I sah. I know the community college is made up of a ton of adults going back to School but I just feel like I have all this student loan debt for a masters degree that isn't really being used or getting me a job :/

Another super freaking long day full of telling MIL to stop taking photos when I'm not looking or when she's behind me. She insists she zooms up on whatever she's taking but every.damn.time. she's behind me I hear the shutter go off. So mothereffing annoying they are. We did the zoo for what felt like the whole damn day because they're so slow & ate at a fantastical place that does gourmet grilled cheese. Ended with ice cream because fil mentioned it at the restaurant, then we said our goodbyes & ds was all sad & cry-y. They thought it was about them. No... He wanted ice cream that you mentioned. Oy vey. So we're done with them. Allelu.
