Morning! I still feel crappy, but we're up and waiting to do anplay based research study at my college campus. We might walk down to the museums afterwards!
mrsmonogrammed how did you feel after your last round of Whole30? Did you notice a big difference? Did you lose weight doing it? Sorry for nosy questions but I've always wanted to try it.
I really really liked how I felt on it! (Way) flatter tummy, more energy, less interested in crap food. I lost about 11lb and have kept off most of it. This time I'm adding in a semi-regular workout routine while last time I only focused on the clean eating. I have several good recipes if you do end up doing it:) There are some ladies on parenting who did it post-baby to help get back to PP size and have had pretty good success if that's what the appeal is for you:)
We'll be doing the local Terry Fox Walk and BBQ this morning (if you don't know it's a Canada-wide cancer fundraiser walk). I might try to make some cookies today too, bexcuse cookies are good too.

Morning! I literally have nothing exciting happening today, and I kind of like it. Unless a giant stack of accounting excites you, that is, then I have a thrilling day on tap!
My mom made me an offer last night though - my dad will be in China the week of 10/17-10/21 I think it was. She normally watches DS on Thursdays, so she offered to take him Wednesday night for a sleepover at her house, and then he's just there Thursday like usual. She would have taken him a Friday or Saturday, but those nights don't coincide with my dad being gone, and he's a little less enthused about the possibility of waking up at night by a crying baby than my mom. At any rate, I told H, and he thought we should pass, with a "what's the point" mentality since he's already taken a bunch of work from home/time off recently, and doesn't want to take a morning off to sleep in. I think it would still be nice to get out, even if it is the middle of the week, have dinner, and not worry about being home in time for bedtime. I honestly can't figure out why he's resisting the idea.

This is me, if you sub "security investment models" for "accounting"
jillywilly I would go for it just so your mom gets her first overnight out of the way and would be less hesitant (and maybe more willing to push your dad) when something comes up that you want him to sleepover. Maybe your H will be more open to it with that reasoning.
That's kind of my logic. I mean - obviously I would prefer a night where we could take advantage of sleeping in the next morning, but in a family where we still have the occasional MOTN waking - I'd take a night of guaranteed sleep any night. I'm going to keep working on him. Or just drop DS off at my mom's from day care that Wednesday and tell H I "accidentally" left him at my mom's.

A is finally getting a little better. H's man cold seems to be on the mend too. A STTN yesterday night. I'm talking about this now because he's was up constantly last night so I'm not jinxing anything unfortunately. I have no idea what our day holds. I need to go get another eye glass rx since I lost mine. I really want to order some new glasses. Now to make pancakes!

We went to a toddler class this morning. We had gone last year to the baby class, but we were the only ones there so it was kind of weird. There were 10 or so kids today, so a bit more fun. J needs some work on his social skills. I'm also convinced that he will grow up and attend Barden University so that he can join the running in a circle club.

48 days til I get to see DH! I booked the trip to South Carolina and will get to see him on November 16 & 17th for Family Day and Basic training graduation! Flying into Charlotte NC though, does have anyone have recommendations on what to do there for a day?
It's the first time in flying alone and staying in a hotel alone, I guess I'm a big girl now.

DD and I went to HomeGoods this morning to get a new piece of art to go in the freshly-painted dining room, which of course my H doesn't like.
DD is still sick with her cold a week later, but she doesn't have any symptoms I can really justify taking her to the pedi for. I am SO ready for her to feel better and sleep better. If anyone would have told me before she was born how bad her sleep issues would be, I would have said they were crazy...
My H turned our fireplace on today. It's currently 63 degrees out...not fireplace weather, H.
I'm sorry, but I think I'm going to side with your H. It's in the 60s here today, too, but my house thermostat was saying it was about 69 when I ran home over lunch, and it felt cool. Unless DS' room is absolutely too freezing for him to sleep tonight, we're going to be turning on the fireplace in lieu of turning on the heat. I'm really trying to hold out until October to turn the heat on... only three days to go!

My body is aching everywhere. The Sculpt class I did on Monday killed me but I powered through UJAM yesterday anyways and now my body hurts even more. Can I just be fit already?!
Right now I'm just waiting for Baby G and my mom to get here to go to lunch with me. And then my work group is going to get pedicures this afternoon because it's the boss' 10 year work anniversary. I'm way overdue for getting a pedicure and it's even more awesome that it's on the company and there will be champagne and snacks. Even better, it's right by my house since the boss and I live in the same city and it's my all time favorite nail salon. Woot woot!

I used to be a freeze baby, but not since having kids. I do know my thyroid is high though, so I'm just a waking furnace anymore.
Or snow storm...we say snow storm a lot around here.
I'm hoping no to the blizzard, it will probably melt tomorrow. But, we've gotten almost an inch in the past hour. I took A outside for a minute and he was a little hesitant about it.

I'm so excited to see how DD reacts to snow this year!
