I'll try to do a pic later, but right now I'm trying so hard to not lose my breakfast at work. The winds definitely shifted and the fire in the mountains is bigger and it just smells fire at work. It's pretty nauseating. I have a meeting right now for a student who got in my face the other day, and apparently has done this with a few other teachers(though his mom swears this has never happened before...right). Ought to be a fun start to the day.
Here's my bump photo from last night. (Excuse the workout clothes and slippers, I had just gotten back from barre class.).
FTM, team pink, 28+5. I feel HUGE, which I know is a joke considering I have 11 more weeks of growing to do. STMs, is the last part fairly gradual, or did you get noticeably bigger each week? I know everyone is different, but in just trying to figure out what's in store for me!
I feel like each week I was noticeably larger - and I had gained 25 lbs... however, I only made it to 34 weeks & 6 days so I don't really know what to expect if I make it pass that point this time around. I'm already so achey!!!!

I have to brag on DH, I was craving peanut butter blossom cookies last night at like 8:45 and he made me them from scratch. So awesome. Except now I want to eat them ALL.

I don't know what those are but they sound delicious! Kudos to your H!
mrsp121308, when DH is nice enough to make me treats I always make him take leftovers to his work. I portion out like one cookie for my lunch each day during the week and then even if he made like 3 dozen cookies I make him take them away otherwise I'll eat them all. He is such a good baker and he has no idea how much baby girl and I are going to abuse that when she's old enough. I will be teaching her how to give him the pouty lip for cookies very early on.

30 weeks + 5 days. This pregnancy is so much different then with our DD. With our DD I felt huge at 30 weeks, however, I am much more uncomfortable this time and cannot sleep at all. DD was born at 37 + 6 so assuming (...hoping for 38 weeks) I'll go early this time as well.

mrsp121308, that's amazing. Yum! My DH made dinner last night after I said I'd just eat leftovers. I was so grateful -- I'm a terrible cook and don't do it.
lola, I gained 46 pounds last time with DS. At some point -- maybe 37 weeks? -- I think I just stopped gaining weight. I've been a bit more active this time and slightly better about my diet (basically not eating egg-n-cheese sandwiches every morning like last time) so hoping not to gain as much weight though am already at 25 lbs.
harfamilyof3, I'm also having a hard time sleeping and SO many aches and pains that I did not have with G.... I can't imagine how I'll feel 10 weeks from now.

Hi ladies - You are all looking gorgeous!! I'm a bit nervous about how much bigger I'll get over the coming weeks, my comparison pic between the start of 2nd tri and the start of 3rd tri totally freaks me out - so much growth!
Here I am at 29w3d, cannot believe I'll hit 30 weeks on Sunday, crazy!!!!

Anyone have any good remedies for lower back pain? I had it with DS and was hoping that by working out and strengthening my back/core I'd skip/delay it but it is baaaaaaack. Pun intended. I probably should at least get up and walk around more, but difficult with desk job.
@kc295905 , It's too bad we live in Texas, so the fireplace gets used maaaayyyybbeeee once a year if we're lucky!
legalbeagle , That makes sense. I have heard it tapers off in the last couple of weeks. I've been trying to stay active, but I'm already at 25 pounds too, and my doctor said to gain between 20 and 30. Seeing as I'm supposed to gain a pound a week until the end, I'll clearly be surpassing 30 pounds!
legalbeagle, I picked up a cheap pregnancy support band at Target yesterday. Even just wearing it around the house for a little bit last night helped my back. I think it just helped carry some of the weight for me. The target one also comes with a slot for an ice pack/heat pack and can be turned around and used as a post partum support. If it doesn't end up working I'll probably invest in a more expensive one.

legalbeagle, my back pain is caused by activity, which it sounds like maybe yours just hurts in general no matter what? Since I know why mine's hurting, I ordered a $15 back brace from amazon yesterday, planning to try it out this weekend and hoping it works! P.S. bring a heating pad to work!
P.S.S. Has anyone else been doing comparison pictures throughout their pregnancy? I was thinking of posting mine but don't want to be an AW!
Question on the weight gain issue - are we talking net weight gain or total weight gain? I lost almost 10 lbs in the course of about a week the first trimester (HG is no fun!), but have gained back about 20 now, so I am about 10lbs above my pre-pregnancy weight. So would I say I've gained 10lbs or 20lbs? I realize I've only gained 10 over where I was before getting pregnant, but I have actually gained 20 pounds since, say, the end of May.
sheepish, the doc I saw at my last appointment said they look at where their people are from starting weight. So I'm on a good pace for them, I'm up 10lbs, but really it's 15 if you look at the 5 pounds I lost and regained in the 1st trimester. I'm sure each doc is different, but I'm just happy I'm where they want me to be and they haven't given me a stupid lecture about weight gain yet.
legalbeagle, soooo much lower back pain.... I started using the heating pad with the advice of some lovely ladies here - I've only used it the last 2 nights and maybe for 10 min each time but it feels soooo good. I wish I could keep it on for hours but that probably wouldn't be a good idea. The pregnancy pillow doesn't seem to be working much in my favor either. I just figure I'm doomed.

Thanks ladies! Maternity support belt sounds like a great idea. I feel like my back really seems to hurt at the end of the day after I have been sitting for long periods of time. I worked from home on Monday and lay down on my side for a while and didn't have as much pain on Monday. Weirdly swimming helps too!

Thanks, that makes sense. My doctors haven't specifically said how they look at it (though to be fair, I haven't asked), but they have been happy with my weight gain (well, once I stopped losing weight and actually started gaining), so I guess I won't worry about it unless they say something.

legalbeagle, have you tried finding an area in your office that you can stand and work? Or perhaps just shifting your position? Sometimes I've rented a conference room and put my feet up on another chair, sitting the laptop on my lap and trying to lean back a little. Or is there a couch available? Ha ha... I think I have a weird office with lots of options but that's definitely not true for everyone!
