I'm thankful for the fact that my BFF and I had a really good text chat last night, and it's helped me make peace with a lot of emotions I was feeling earlier this week. And I'm so thankful to you ladies for being a place for me to process as well. I'm thankful for the fact that I got a call back from our fertility clinic yesterday afternoon, and I got some really good news regarding storage fees/future cycles/etc. I'm thankful for hot coffee with the sound of rain and thunder in a quiet office.
Random - I had to fill out another incident report for DS yesterday at day-care pick-up - we're 0/2 on days he went to day care and did not manage to somehow cause injury to his head. Any recommendations for plastic bubbles to put these kids in for the next year or two? Kidding. Mostly.

I'm almost 5 years in and still trying to figure this one out. Except as they get older there are less incident reports and more phone calls that start "Everything is fine, but..."
jillywilly get out of my head. I semi seriously considered a full set of hockey gear including the helmet. Also +1 on incident reports. I basically do a happy dance if we don't have to sign one at the end of the day.

Day care actually called both days also, because apparently the policy is to call if your kid injures their head especially. I do appreciate that when she calls, she starts with, "Hi, it's M from day care, W is fine, but we just wanted to let you know...." I really don't expect these calls will lessen anytime soon, especially since he's really getting into the joys of climbing.

Ha, at least hockey gear would be appropriate in Canada Glad my kid isn't the only klutz though!
Very thankful for 4 brand new tires on my car... Because i do not believe my old ones would of made it through the rain we are currently having. Im pretty sure I would of had an accident in todays weather.

That makes such a big difference, doesn't it? We also just got 4 new tires (and brakes actually, too) on our vehicle, and holy cow... night and day! We also just scored some great shocks for cheap for our other vehicle, and I can't wait to get them on... the ride is SO rough.
Today I'm thankful for my mama's help getting the kids to and from various doctor's appointments this week... she took a TON of time out of her day to help me out so I missed less work. All I had to do was meet at the doctor's office for the appointments, and she did all the carting around. So kind of her!

I am thankful that A is on the mend from this cold and that I didn't get it. I'm also thankful that some of the repairs H's truck needed were still under warranty in NC so they will be paid for. That's saving us $700 we don't have right now.
Im thankful for the perfect weather today, the sweet one on one time with Cooper and my amazing birthday gift I got from my Mom - a surprise ticket for her to come visit in 3 weeks!!!

I'm thankful for food delivery because I forgot my lunch at home and do not have time to run out to grab anything. Also DNW because it's raining. Don't worry, I gave him a big tip:)

Also thankful that its almost October because MY UPSTAIRS NEIGHBORS ARE FINALLY GETTING THE BOOT!!! Yoooo, this is like 6 months of torture hanging literally over my head is finally about to end.
I feel almost terrible that I'm happy they're getting evicted, but no. They're awful and I'm happy!
I am thankful that DS was so excited for his first day of preschool today and that he loved it and is excited to go back! He told me he wants to be a school teacher when he grows up and that his preschool teacher will show him how to be just like her. I am comforted in the decision to send him this year. And now obligatory first day picture: ' I am now thankful for the new time DD and I will start spending together. She was very cuddly and content and I think it will teach her (and I) a lot of new things about our relationship.
I am thankful that H stayed home a little longer today and helped DS get ready and do his hair so he can be dressed up like dad. I've got a touch of a cold and the energy I was so looking forward to being excited about the day was draining, and I'm glad he wanted to and was able to stay and help a bit longer this morning.
You didn't buy maternity pants the first time around? Did you just use the band with your regular pants?
Nope. None at all. I was living in the south and by the time I was huge there was no way that I was wearing anything but athletic shorts, leggings, and skirts.
Yup this was me too. Skirts, dresses, leggings, yoga pants and gym shorts. I had one pair of maternity capri jeans but they were awful because my thighs expanded as well and just no to tight jeans while pregnant in the summer!
Today I am thankful for the joy that is Advil because poor ds2 just cut 2 molars at once overnight. Hopefully a nice long nap is in order today! So far so good.
Hi friend! We are in molar hell as well. C cut 3 at once and the 4th is coming through now. Christ on a cracker I feel so bad when she's screaming and chewing her hand. Thank goodness for ibuprofen
