This is the story of a poster who has been here a long time, so long in fact that most of her friends have graduated and moved on and now returned for round 2! But I have waited a loooooooong time to post this and I hope this doesn't seem like a drive-by as I mainly hang now in the IF thread and randomly in the randoms thread but looks like this story may have a happy ending and I want my thread!!!!! Proceed but all the Trigger warnings!!!!
3 years ago, almost to the day, we started TTC and after 12 cycles of HIO, OPKS, and all the other acronyms, but came up with nothing, so we got help. This was followed by 11 failed IUIs and one CP over the next 2 years and what we thought would be the end of the road for us. BUT, nope. Housecarder and her husband offered us an amazing gift of donated embryos. Fast forward to 1 week ago and we transferred 2 beautiful blasts and were surrounded by love here during that highly anxious time.
Cycle/Month: 36 months tomorrow
CD/DPO: 29/12
EDD: 6/11
What we did: Traveled across the Midwest, had an adventure, and did IVF with donated embryos-transferred 2 blasts
Symptoms: Other than 3 positive tests, nothing, notta, none.
I tested 2 days ago and stark white. Notta, I thought we were out. I tested again this morning and MISSED THE LINE because apparently I don’t know how to read a HPT! I saw it under the light as I went to throw it away and there was a second line!!!!!!!!!! But the pee was already gone and I could not take more tests. I needed to calm my loss brain and so at lunch I went the store, grabbed a few tests, went to Panera to test again, and beautiful lines and a digi popped up saying I am pregnant!!!!! Next stop, betas on Monday!
How I told my H: See pic below of what was left next to his wallet. PS- I know there is a typo, but I didn't realize it until this morning so I was working with what I got!
The Mushy Stuff: I can’t even write words about how much this community means to me and how much I love everyone in it. This has been the place where I have laughed, cried, vented, joked, and made some of my best friends ever. This community and special shout out to all my IF girls and grads, have been here when we were at some of our darkest times and times when I wasn’t sure how I would keep going. This will always be my safe place and I will continue to hang if ok with you until betas come in, but for today,
I am pregnant.
TL;dr- After a long journey, we are knocked up!!!
