It's under 70 degrees here, so I officially switched from an iced chai tea latte to a hot chai tea latte! Just getting myself prepared for our trip to the east coast later today. Hopefully we'll see some changing leaves in Vermont, even though we're only there for one day.

I love October too!
I ran errands all morning and I feel like I ran a marathon. I may not move the rest of the day. But on the upside, I got some reallllllly cute Christmas PJs for the babies at Kohls and I made a huge batch of pasta fagiloli soup with enough leftover to freeze. Yay!
requiressnacks Mmmm, pasta fagiloli is one of my favorites! I need to make some soon. I begged my MIL for the family recipe, since it's not something we really do in the south.

I love it too! I use a recipe that I got off a can of tuttorosso tomatoes years ago. It's a keeper.
I painted the lower half of baby's nursery walls (under where the chair rail will go) and I'm planning to paint the top half when I get back home. Big girls had Nutcracker rehearsal 11-2:30 today so that sucked up most of my day.

You are ambitious!!! I have officially retired my paintbrush for this pregnancy.
It is a rainy, cold day here- boo!! We have a 6' x 6' mudroom on our first floor that we've been using as a junk room. I had DH help me take everything out of it this morning and I just finished organizing it.
I was just having a convo with FI about labor, and I was telling him that last time when the contractions started getting painful I was having to squeeze the side of the bed because I had looked over and he had fallen asleep. He's a heavy sleeper, so I couldn't wake him up by yelling at him from the bed. I started telling him this time I was going to bring a stress ball and he interrupted to say "yeah great idea!" thinking I meant to squeeze it, but then I continued that I meant to throw at him to wake him up if he falls asleep again haha. Then he said, "it's not my fault you go into labor at inconvenient times," and I just looked at him like he was crazy and reminded him that the second time was scheduled because I was induced. lol what a jerk.

Ha! If dh had said that I would have tested my throw with a pillow or something.
Oh my gosh my mil is driving me nuts. Her bbb doesn't have the exact pattern of something we registered for and she's spazzing out. But on the flip side she has no problem buying a totally different version of something else. Dh finally told her to just get what she wants and we'll return it if we have to. One more week of dealing with her shower drama.
@cahistoryteacher no need for her to drive you nuts over it or even tell you about it. There'll probably be a few things to exchange or return.
It's been raining for DAYS here. I can't take it any more. I've also been coughing for days and can't take that any more either. Might be taking myself to the doctors tomorrow. A group of us celebrated our friends birthday yesterday. We surprised her when she showed up at the house Friday night. She thought it was just her and the one friend. We had dinner Friday night. More friends came Saturday for breakfast, a couple wineries and an Amish market. The wines weren't that great apparently, so I didn't miss much not being able to sample. We came back and went to dinner last night. I'm exhausted though!

Hi all! Yesterday was a rainy day here too. I didn't change out of my pjs. We got some cleaning done. And I felt like I was cooking all day. At one pt I started washing dishes and ds would grab my hand and walk me over to the stove & place me face fwd to it. Thanks kid.
Today is groceries and visiting my dad. I also have to get some work done. I tried to get that done yesterday but ended up taking a nap instead.

I went and bought like 9 mum plants. Chucked all my plants from planters. Put the planters away. When lil bit awakes we will start sanding the dresser for Liam's room. I have taken all my summer stuff out of my closet and put them away. We will hit the pumpkin patch in two weekends to add pumpkins, hay and cornstalks to our decor
It was a yucky overcast day here today so H and I stayed inside. I got some laundry done and made two throw pillows (now I need more fabric to make a couple more!) and made some chili and cornbread. My house smells delicious!

@cahistoryteacher have you tried any of the recipes from glutenfreeonashoestring.com? I make the batter bread a lot, and it comes out really good. I haven't tried making any yeast rolls yet though.
I am having some CRAZY movement from this LO that I sure didn't have with DS's. They moved a lot, but I see and feel this so much this time. I'm not see if the anterior vs. posterior placenta I had with them matters this late. Baby, you could calm down since it's after 10 pm and I'd like to go to sleep!

We don't do a lot of bread baking, but we have a few recipes to try. Dh loves to figure out recipes. We're currently working on cinnamon rolls(even the failures are yummy).
The shower went really well! People sent bigger gifts to our house so I was able to fit most things in my suitcase. There were a few times when I would open something and try to look at the person to say thank you, and then I clearly was looking at the wrong person. But they understand I'm sure, because their family is SO BIG. A lot of them reintroduced themselves when they came in because they knew I wouldn't remember, which I really appreciated. And it wasn't awkward opening gifts with my SIL either. Overall, total success.
