Good morning. M slept like a rock last night. It was glorious. SO should be home at some point today / tonight. Yay!
I spoke to M's two teachers about her lack of vocabulary at school. I just wanted to let them know that she is learning and flourishing, even though they aren't hearing her words firsthand. They said that she likes to sit with her books and doesn't really play much with the other kids.
We agree that she might just be a quiet bookworm. We can't fault her for that. I need to bring out more books for her at home, because she's really taking an interest in reading. So... we'll read!
My child is an introverted bookworm. And I love her
For the first time in well over a year I slept until 8 o'clock this morning. I don't know what kind of witchcraft overtook both children but I'll take it. Of course all help broke loose at eight, but I'll take that too.
I really need to go up into the attic and get the Halloween decorations my neighborhood is already completely decorated and I'm the odd man out. We still haven't decided on what we're gonna do about Halloween costumes, so that's up in the air. I'm trying to also distract myself from my husband's sports medicine fellowship application process. He really wants to stay at his current program and do a year of fellowship but they've gotten well over 80 applications for two spots and there's four internal applicants. We won't find out until January and it's a killer.
Hey, I exist! Weekend was a crazy one. Saturday - lots of cleaning and a wedding. Sunday - just me and the little one, more cleaning, Wal-Mart. The wedding was small and simple, but N had a BLAST. Once she warmed up, she was playing with other kids, running around the dance floor. It was adorable. I love her. She was up way past her bedtime, but still hung out like a total champ.
Also, and a fucking MOUSE ran out of the kitchen this morning. I still can't think about it without feeling all creepy ewww. MH said the kitten killed it. Belgskldjfsld. Gross.
Woke up early to work out. My goal is to wake up and work out early every morning now. I usually do when A naps in the afternoon when we're home from work and DC.
But I need to start having afternoons free for LLR stuff and other real estate stuff. I'm going to help another realtor with her files from home.
Soooo. That means early alarms so I can keep up with working out. Bleh.
The place I applied for last night called me already to verify my application. The guy who you could not really understand asked if I was looking to relocate because I live in pa and the job is in md. I said my old position was in md same location so I am used to the commute.
malvo love M's personality! Sweet girl. Also, our system was down until 9:45 today. Happy happy joy joy. I would have moved to my new cube, BUT the other assistant that applied for the agent position who was supposed to be off today decided to come in and I'm not sure she's been told about the job so I decided to wait until my boss comes in later and has a chance to tell her. ladymike I had a huge roach in my house the other night. I'm guessing the rain brought it in. But where did it come from? I'm not dirty!! I told h I didn't care what kind of roach it was, I'm calling a pest control company today. I was totally freaking. D was freaking. F was laughing!! It was a sight. (H was gone). I had a broom, shoe and two bottles of countertop spray which were in reach. Newp. Nope nope nope. @megaugust10 good luck!! babys2015 I'm sure I have some! Let me give it a little thought here and I'll come back with a few of my faves.
After having a hard time going down last night (well, f went down fine but then woke an hour or so later), f woke at about 2:30. And in my delusional state, I brought her into bed. The rest of the night we tossed and turned. I want my baby to sleep again!
Today I officially start in my new position! Whoop whoop!
malvo I really think O and M are twins. Her teacher told me the other day that she doesn't have many friends and prefers to read books instead. Sounds like me. I prefer books over people too

I love it! I'm glad there are fellow baby bookworms M has many toys that she's "meh" about. It has finally donned on me that... BOOKS!... I need to bring out her books! She's going to be such a happy camper tonight.
Still no internet or phone access in my office. Tech guy should be here eventually. I have my MacBook, but it's frustrating when there's something on my PC that I need. Ugh. I have so much to do and this situation is slowing me down!
malvo, M sounds just like my LG. She's not a talker and would rather read. Her teachers never really worried but they made comments so I would know. She's 2 1/2 now and she talks and plays with her friends but can still be shy. A is my talker. She loves to talk to everyone. Both girls slept all night. A fussed for a few minutes around 2 but I didn't have to go in her room. Whatever I did yesterday I hope we can repeat today. This momma is ready to sleep! I'm thinking about taking a day off to stay home by myself. It sounds terrible but I really just want to get my house together. It's a disaster. Plus I need to get away from work for a little while so I don't go crazy!
babys2015 any drinks for kids with a foil top: I buy straws and cut them in half at an angle. They punch through the foil great and help keep from spilling when drinking. F is good with this at her age too. On juice boxes, I pull the side folds out and have the kids hold the "ears"; in my car, I used a receiving blanket and tied it to the headrest, then pulled the sides out and across the back of the seat (where your back would be if sitting) before putting F's car seat rear facing. This helps protect against mud and whatnot from her shoes ruining the back of my seat. Easy to change out and wash up when needed. In my pantry, I have a bowl of go-to, pre-portioned (in zip locks) snacks that f and d can chose and grab themselves when they want a snack. This is helpful because they can chose what they want. I also have a drawer in the bottom of my fridge with snacks like gogurt, cheese sticks, fruit cups and smoothie drinks they can grab on their own. I'm sure I'll think of more.

The day is just flying by already. MH's work truck got broken into last night which sucks but all they took was his nice work jacket and headphones?? Thanks assholes.
Also, I am allllmost at my pre pregnancy weight!! Paleo is no joke, but its getting easier. Now just need to lose the other 30 I gained while dating MH. I SEE YOU SIZE 4 JEANS AND I AM COMING FOR YOU
