All the week before last, I was having blood pressure problems and headaches. When I went in for my last MFM appointment that Friday, my bp was high, so she sent me over to the hospital to deliver. My ob wasn't on call that day, so I got two of the others. Everyone was awesome and took great care of us.
Zoe Allison and William Guy were born on 9/23. She weighed 5 pounds and he weighed 7 pounds 9 ounces. They had no problems besides having trouble regulating their temperatures early on. Because they were born before 37 weeks, they had to pass the car seat test. William passed the first time, Zoe passed the second time. We wound up staying 4 days because of my blood pressure and swelling.
We've been home for a week now and we're finally getting the hang of life with twins. My original plan was to breastfeed, but due to my lack of supply and how early they were, we're supplementing with formula. Zoe is already back up to birth weight.
Congrats! Supplementing literally saved my sanity in the very beginning, and actually allowed my supply to catch up which has made it possible to EBF since then. So you don't have to give up on that yet!
